System's POV - Chapter 1490: War Of Worlds

Chapter 1490: War Of Worlds
The skies of Solterra cracked, and everyone at Godfall Cradle truly believed that the world was about to end.
Not only did Thirteen had challenged a God, he even ridiculed him into making a choice.
Descend in Solterra and deal with the puny mortal that dared to belittle him? Or stay where it was safe and let the Infernals look down upon him?
Both choices had their own consequences, but Azhuriel was the Supreme Commander of the Infernals.
Part of his strength came from the faith his race shared with him. If he didn’t uphold his invincible image, those who looked up on him would think off him less, leading to their faith diminishing and his slow demise.
It might not happen in a hundred years, a thousand… or even tens of thousands of years. But this stain would forever remain in his record. The Infernals had always looked down on the weak, and as their God, he couldn’t show a single weakness.
“You sure made him angry, Thirteen,” Camazotz smirked with his arms crossed over his chest. “He’s trying to come just to pinch you.”
“I’d like to see him try,” Thirteen shrugged. “I’ve fought a God twice. One where he has an advantage over me, the other when we were both of the same rank. My record is one win and one loss. This fight against Azhuriel will determine my win rate.”
Paimon giggled. The teenage boy made it sound like he was about to fight a random monster blocking the road.
Although the situation was dire, Thirteen was a pillar that supported all of them. Despite the fact that the skies were literally falling above their heads, he remained composed as if this was something he dealt with everyday right after breakfast.
With one final groan of defiance, the sky completely shattered and revealed the void. And within that void, a red sun shone brightly.
At its center was the First Flame, Azhuriel. He hovered above the sky like the deity that he was, looking down on the fools who dared to stand in the way of his conquest!
Without any warning, Azhuriel waved his hand. Everyone except Thirteen, his lovers, Camazotz, Paimon, and Cranky were blown away by an invisible attack, which sent them all flying.
Sahard, Khan, Harahon, Lord Zorca, Evuvug, Gwenn, and Thirteen’s monster army were also blown away, suffering from injuries that caught them completely by surprise.
Thirteen and those near him were the closest and would’ve been blown away if it weren’t for the metallic rubik cube hovering on the palm of the young man’s hand, shielding them from the attack of a God.
Seeing his attempt to bring down the teenage boy’s arrogance down a peg fail, Azhuriel couldn’t help but smirk.
“This is how it should be,” Azhuriel said. “It won’t be fun if you kick the bucket after just a single attack.”
“You’re right,” Thirteen replied. “It won’t be fun if things end in an instant.”
The teenage boy then raised his hand, and countless portals appeared on the skies above his head and the ground behind him.
“You broke the rules first,” Thirteen declared. “Time to even up the odds.”
Countless jet fighters emerged from the sky, while countless troops emerged from the ground.
In the past, the Wanderers couldn’t bring their technology to Solterra and dominate everything. But now that a God had descended to the world, certain laws had been broken, which Thirteen had made possible.
However, Azhuriel only laughed after seeing the “toys” that had come to make the battle interesting.
“And here I thought you have a trump card you can use against me. Well, aside from that puny little box in your hand,” Azhuriel chuckled. “Don’t you know that we’ve fought worlds with technologies far ahead of whatever you’re bringing to this war?
“Those civilizations even have battleships that can travel the distant stars, yet they all still fell to ruin. What makes you think your futile attempt can make a difference?”
Thirteen didn’t answer, knowing Azhuriel was right. The Infernals were a race that had conquered more worlds than the Jinns.
They were very different from the Army of Destruction that literally destroyed worlds. They were a race of conquerors who forced every race and civilization they conquered to submit to them.
But he wasn’t fazed by Azhuriel’s mocking tone. Infernals weren’t the only ones with a God.
The moment the Supreme Commander of the Infernal Commander appeared, the restrictions binding the God of Wanderers were also lifted.
“Sorry, I’m late, Thirteen.”
A voice that he knew very well spoke from behind him.
Thirteen turned around and saw Laplace Demon looking at his pocketwatch.
“You’re fifteen minutes ahead of schedule,” Laplace Demon commented. “I thought it would take you a while to convince Azhuriel into descending to this world.”
A moment later, a golden sun appeared above their heads as the God of Wanderers, The One, made its appearance.
While this was happening, Thirteen’s 69th Battalion made their way to his side.
Cristopher and Colbert saluted their commander, and the rest of the battalion followed.
“69th Battalion, reporting for duty, Sir!” Cristopher declared.
Thirteen returned their salute. “At ease. Everyone, thank you for coming. I hope you’ve all written your final wills. To those who are smart enough to get life insurance, I tip my hats to you guys.”
The soldiers of the 69th Battalion smiled, understanding this was their Supreme Commander’s attempt to lighten up the mood.
The faceoff between the Infernals and the Wanderers grew tense with both sides preparing to attack each other.
Azhuriel and Thirteen raised their hands at the same time, prompting their armies to ready their weapons.
“Wipe them all out!” Azhuriel ordered. “Show no mercy!”
“Kill! Kill! KILL!” Thirteen ordered.
A barrage of attack coming from both sides illuminated the world.
The modified laser rifles that Thirteen had left the Central Government and the Leventis Family unleashed a deadly volley towards their enemies, and the Infernals reacted in kind.
They had faced such weapons in the past, so they weren’t the least bit threatened by the Wanderer’s show of force
