Taking the Mafia to the Magic World - Chapter 1114: Rescuing the Companions I

Chapter 1114: Rescuing the Companions I
’Hell and Argardus…’ Vicente readily identified what Kong was showing him. ’So the Celestial King was related to the end of the Nine Paths… He possibly would have relevance to the recovery of our reality.’
Vicente looked at Kong, understanding the feelings of the dragons and allies who fought in that battle he had just seen.
’In that case, the way forward for me is to better understand this Celestial King and his chosen one.’ Vicente took a deep breath, coming closer to the truth while feeling unable to do more.
There was a possibility that Minos was not the one destined. But even if Vicente’s savior was such a being, how would Vice reach him?
Vicente didn’t know where Minos had gone, let alone how to reach him!
“Sigh… That’s quite a story.” He muttered thoughtfully before looking at the dragon. “Tell me something, Kong, would you be willing to fulfill your mission handed down by the Great Sage if the chosen one appeared?”
Kong looked conflicted for a moment, but he replied after a moment, “Yes, I would do it for my tribe and those in Polaris Realm. I have no hope left for myself, but I would make that sacrifice for them.”
Vicente thought about what to do, looking at the dragon and the cloudy horizon behind the creature, a little uncertain whether he should take the relationship with Kong a step further. After all, this was still an unstable creature.
’If I tell him what I know, he’ll probably doubt me. As for the risks, they would be for us. Knowing about the Celestial King’s successor would only be a danger to set us up as targets…’
At this point in his thoughts, Vicente remembered how he had been targeted by a Transcendent before. ’Maybe that’s not such a good idea.’
“Well, I’ll keep an eye out for signs of the chosen one’s appearance and make sure that information reaches you.” Vicente prepared to leave, stretching his arms and legs as he surveyed his surroundings, more interested in getting on with his local journey to rescue his friends.
Kong smiled slightly, silently wishing Vicente good luck on this ’impossible’ mission. But as he watched the young human’s back, Vicente turned his face sideways and looked into his eyes, making him wait for something more.
“There are some matters I need to resolve locally. But soon I’ll be leaving for the Red Enclave. If you want to join me, we might be able to complete the Great Sage’s wishes. Anyway, let’s not get into that yet. One of your people might be watching us.”
Vicente didn’t wait for Kong’s reaction or an answer, flying off toward the Alpine Eye Family, Larissa’s buyers at the slave auction she had been sold at.
Kong stayed behind on the peak of his mountain, looking in the direction Vicente had left with a troubled expression. ’Those words…’
His memory, now much more accessible because of Vicente’s ’invasion’, reminded him of his people, going back many years to a time when he had been forced to use his people’s communication code on a mission.
Looking up at the sky, he felt a chill. ’Has he found out about a candidate for the position of the Celestial King successor? Why else would he make me think of unwanted observers?’
None of Kong’s underlings had survived and also, even if they had withstood Vicente and Kong’s brief battle, they would never have been a problem, as Vice’s words indicated. Only others, stronger than the two Polaris Realm natives, could be the problems ’monitoring’ them.
With this in mind, Kong flapped his wings as he leaped into the air, heading for the Glorious Buddha Sect, but still thinking about the whole situation with Vicente.
’I need to understand how you got here!’
…
Vicente traveled for some time, still with his undead, who had been waiting for him near Kong’s domain. He left them in charge of using the information he had already gathered about the Alpine Eye Family and guiding him to his destination.
As he traveled, Vicente couldn’t stop thinking about his latest discoveries. He put on his list of priorities the mission to find Minos again and, as such, the measures needed to achieve that mission. As it turned out, many of his issues could be resolved with Minos’ help. In the meantime, he couldn’t ignore what he already knew.
There was, in the distant past, a higher dimension than Hell and Argardus, which, because of a great battle in which the Celestial King perished, gave rise to the two higher dimensions of today. Considering the role of the Nine Paths for these dimensions, Vicente imagined that somehow repairing the connection between Anicane and Polaris Realm would require something like a fusion of higher dimensions; the recovery of the lost dimension.
’I need to take this to Senior Minos. If something so drastic is really necessary, he will certainly be crucial in this realization.’ He thought as he traveled through a dense forest, already close to reaching his next stop.
His group of undead were spread out in formation around him, with one of them leading the group through the vicinity of the sovereign territory of the family that had bought Larissa.
Ignoring the difficulty of getting to Minos, Vicente knew that reuniting with his family would not be easy. Repairing an ancient dimension, even stronger than the Hell he knew, couldn’t be easy even for Transcendents.
Vicente did not know how to start the reintegration of the dimensions. But he didn’t let his present condition get to him. Relying on what he had at his disposal, his aim was to resolve his friends’ situation, then set off for the Red Enclave. With luck, Kong would understand his message and join him without asking questions that were difficult to answer. Then he would seek new directions with Theloria, the succubus the ice dragon had told him about earlier.
Finally, seeing the buildings of the headquarters of the powerful Alpine Eye Family, Vicente gradually sensed the power of this local group, supposedly of similar average power to the Glorious Buddha Sect. The major difference between this family and the sect was in their organization and world mission. While the sect was more focused on spiritual and religious practice, with members not related to blood, the family was like the great houses Vicente already knew from the Polaris Realm.
Holding a territory as large as the provinces of the old Seidel Kingdom – Vicente’s birthplace – the Alpine Eye Family had great influence in the metal trade of the Inviting Isles, with a city and population beyond its direct members living in its domain.
In this area of the island, there were no kingdoms or empires. It was occupied by a vast number of independent and powerful forces by local standards.
Vicente wasn’t worried about these characteristics and when he saw the urban area ahead, he didn’t hesitate to use his powers before entering the city.
Using his negative powers, he made the guards on watch on the outskirts of the city, along with ordinary inhabitants going about their business, sense something was wrong. But before they could do anything, malicious creatures began to rise from underground, both inside and outside the city, overcoming the limits of magical barriers there.
Aware that the force behind this city had bought his companion, Vicente already arrived with the enemy force showing his credentials, bringing horror!
Meanwhile, he walked as if there was nothing wrong, passing the entrance to the city and heading towards the seat of local power.
“Alpine Eye Family leaders, show yourselves! I’m here to settle our differences!”
