Taking the Mafia to the Magic World - Chapter 1126: The Diabolical Red Enclave II

Chapter 1126: The Diabolical Red Enclave II
As Vicente’s group flew towards the interior of Red Enclave, between the middle and end of a local afternoon, when the red sky was losing its glow, they spotted something moving on top of a mountain.
They immediately realized there was something near them and focused on a rocky area, but with vegetation around it.
The vegetation on this part of the island was not like what they had already encountered during their journey through Anicane. Instead of bright, beautiful colors, the vegetation was marked by dark colors, green-black, red-black, purple, lilac, among others.
Also, there was a black mist amidst the scenery and the wind moved as if unimaginable creatures were suffering around.
“Demons,” said Larissa as she clenched her fists and felt a sudden chill.
There were different types of Demons, from the more humanoid ones, such as succubi, incubi and vampires, to monstrous creatures that were neither beasts nor humans.
“Primordial Behemoth,” Kong muttered as he stopped in mid-air, observing the enormous creature in the distance, which could easily be mistaken for the mountain peaks nearby.
The creature they first encountered on their way was immense, with a massive body, as if carved from stone. It had defined muscles and thick skin. Its legs resembled pillars, while its head was adorned with several yellow horns, with bony extensions stretching across its back.
Looking into the creature’s deep red eyes, which evoked its malicious desires, Vicente saw the Behemoth’s challenge.
’Wanting to attack us?’ he asked himself as he felt the creature gathering mana, clearly preparing for an attack.
Even if Vice and his friends hid their powers, it would never be possible for a being of Vicente’s stature, or even Kong’s, to hide its reality from a creature as strong as the 9th stage peak Behemoth in their path.
The creature realized the prowess of the opponents it had encountered and chose the path of confrontation!
“Primordial Behemoths are personifications of chaos,” Kong explained as he stood next to Larissa and Rex. “Even at a high level, they are chaotic and difficult to reason with. When you meet one of them, there’s only one way not to get killed: by beating them!”
As Kong spoke, Vicente crossed the space between his group’s position and where the Behemoth was. His movement caught the creature’s attention, but it didn’t back down.
Seeing Vicente close to it, the creature opened its mouth and unleashed the attack it had been preparing for this group. Then, as if a star had appeared on the horizon, the two people next to Kong closed their eyes for a moment, losing sight of the creature’s attack on Vicente.
A blast of scalding mana, as fast and powerful as a mighty laser, burst from the Behemoth’s throat, crossing the short distance between its origin and its target, until it enveloped Vicente.
The creature didn’t stop there. As it closed its mouth, it moved, causing several horns of mana to condense in the air around its space of influence, making them follow like blades in search of Vicente’s remains.
When the flames from the creature’s first attack disappeared around Vicente, however, he was not injured, but intact, with only one of his hands raised in the air as a barrier of light enveloped him.
“Daring,” Vicente said aloud, but the creature heard him as if, at that moment, the only sound that existed in the entire world was Vicente’s voice.
The creature’s powerful legs shook and from where it stood, it felt all its muscles tremble.
The darkening sky in that region became brighter, with several golden stars appearing in the same places where the flying horns had formed moments ago.
As the bright spots appeared in the sky, the plants nearby withered, with strange grunts intensifying throughout the area. Meanwhile, golden beams of mana attacked the creature’s mana horns, vaporizing them so fast that not even the most advanced of them had a chance to get close to where Vicente was.
“Behemoth…” Vicente opened his mouth again, but before he could continue, the creature’s magical pressure disappeared and it run without a second thought.
It was too late. Its fate was already sealed!
As it fled, turning its back on Vicente, the creature couldn’t see a giant white wheel forming behind the Devil it had dared to attack.
Rex and Larissa immediately understood Vicente’s move, seeing the Reincarnation Wheel mastered by their master in action for the first time.
It wasn’t Kong’s first time seeing something like this in front of him, but when he saw Vice’s Reincarnation Wheel devour the soul of a powerful Behemoth that could kill him, he couldn’t help but recognize once again the great power of his ally.
Staring at Vicente with narrowed eyes, he felt a mixture of respect and emotion, seeing in the human the way to reach the Celestial King and, perhaps, reparation for his own failings and incompetence.
Vicente let the creature’s soul burn without giving it a chance to defend itself, leaving behind on the island only the Behemoth’s corpse, an irreplaceable natural treasure for many around Anicane.
Just as Rex was about to approach the monster’s corpse to take something of value for himself, however, Vicente changed the look on his face and was forced to act. Like a bolt of lightning, he disappeared from where he was, crossing the space and appearing in the path between Rex and a weapon thrown in his lion’s direction.
Vicente stopped the blade of a silver spear with two fingers and looked in the direction it came from. “The Red Enclave really is a dangerous place.”
Larissa and Kong appeared at Vicente’s sides, in front of the enemy’s corpse, as a humanoid creature left the shadows from where it had attacked Rex.
But not just one creature appeared in front of the group. An entire tribe materialized in the surroundings, seeming to leave a hidden dimension in that region to ambush Vicente’s team.
Vicente focused on the most prominent of these beings, a being almost three meters tall, with horns on its forehead and large bat wings on its back.
A hoarse, flawed voice came from the creature’s throat, followed by a malicious laugh. “Hehe, this friend, you’re new to the Red Enclave. So let me give you a tip: don’t think that being a Devil is enough for you to do whatever you want here!”
