Taking the Mafia to the Magic World - Chapter 1127: Dangers Above Normal

Chapter 1127: Dangers Above Normal
The words of the being who had first shown himself to be one of the new enemies on the outskirts sent chills through Vicente’s companions as they saw the black crowns forming not only on that individual’s head but also on six of the newcomers.
The darkness over the area intensified, with the pressure on Vicente’s group mounting so high that even Kong felt his legs falter subtly.
Rex and Larissa couldn’t help banging their knees against the ground, as their expressions changed significantly.
Vicente remained motionless, however, apparently untouched, somewhat surprising the newcomers.
“You…”
“Who are you, brat?” the only Devil woman in the group asked, her expression not at all beautiful, despite her seductive appearance.
Although the main individuals there were Devils, none of them had the artificial, dead appearance of the beings Vicente had experienced during his months of action in Hell. But that was to be expected. After all, outside of Hell, infernal beings could present their appearance of interest, showing themselves as they preferred. Things were different in Hell and only the most defiant could explore possibilities other than the actual appearance of their respective souls.
There, only two entities could act as they wished: Minos Stuart and Lothur Ritter!
Vicente remained where he was, showing no feelings, be they positive or negative. He looked at the large group of Sorcerers covering the outskirts of where the Behemoth had fallen, each of them armed, ready to move at the slightest noise.
Vicente finally said something, “It seems that Hell has bases in the Red Enclave. Good to know. In that case, I’ll also give you a recommendation. Not every Devil is the same. Take that to heart for your next journeys.”
Vicente’s Throne of Light and Darkness materialized simultaneously, with nine pentagrams forming around him, almost all of them completely violet.
The surrounding mana practically condensed the moment Vicente acted, forming golden and black beams around him, separating the space between him and the rest of the world.
The enemy pressure dissipated, while destructive forces spread in the opposite direction of Vicente.
The seven Devils shivered as they felt Vicente’s real power, while the rest of their massive group fell like pieces of a tower falling after a grand domino effect.
The darkness of the newcomers was paralyzed in time and space, while only Vicente’s light seemed to have freedom. Golden arrows of light materialized around him, turning into solid metal before flying away as fast as if they had no mass.
Vicente had no pity for these people, no second thoughts about his action. After his short words, he saw his thoughts materialize, with the entire opposing group sensing the power he held.
Of the 7 Devils challenging him, 5 died immediately after their subordinates perished to the initial pressure of Vicente’s move. The only two who resisted were seriously wounded, having had their chests pierced by the shiny weapons of the young Devil they thought they could intimidate.
To their misfortune, not only were they physically wounded, but their souls were set on fire by an artificial ’sun’ that penetrated their existences at the moment the arrows pierced their bodies.
Their bodies were set alight by a beautiful but extremely dangerous golden aura, offering the only one capable of watching this moment apart from Vicente himself a surreal scene.
Kong, from his now unrestricted position, thought about taking action, but was unable to do anything. The situation had quickly turned in their favor and Vicente had easily wiped out a horde that would have had the power to bring chaos to Red Enclave, had their leaders wanted it that way.
Looking at the young man sitting on a throne, half golden, half black, Kong shivered, once again seeing in Vice what he believed would be enough to fulfill several of his old aspirations from the days he had just arrived in Anicane.
The thought that perhaps Vicente was the real reincarnation of the Celestial King even crossed this dragon’s mind, causing him to express a hopeful smile on his old face.
“Wretch! You’ll pay for this!” said the stronger of the two remnants, one of them already more dead than alive and this one badly, but not so much for Vicente to ’escape’ his poisonous words. “You hid well! But this is your end! When you fall, know that I was the responsible!” spit out the creature in an even thicker and more violent tone, already almost completely devoured by the flames of Vice’s light.
Vicente wasn’t sure how far the enemy’s threat could take him, but he couldn’t sense anything that could be intercepted or considered the source of these threats.
Yet, these were not the words of just any being, but a powerful individual who had almost become a Transcendent!
Naturally, Vicente became more serious, intensifying his powers and more quickly degrading the final essences of those individuals.
Just in case, Vicente made use of his Reincarnation Wheel again, preventing those beings from reincarnating, as was their natural right.
’Maybe there won’t be a second chance for you.’ He closed his hands and watched as all the bodies around that area were eaten by light and darkness, their individual mana entering the Reincarnation Wheel and being purified, returning the laws and energy to the world in their raw form.
With this rapid process over, Vicente undid his throne, letting the world around him return to normal, while Rex and Larissa struggled to get up from where they had fallen.
“Encounters like today are more normal than I’d like to admit.” Kong approached Vicente, speaking while looking into his ally’s eyes. “But Devils are still unusual. We must be careful. Perhaps our two encounters today were not as random as we might believe.”
Vicente nodded to the white dragon, looking around, but seeing nothing else to indicate trouble nearby for the moment.
“Rex and Larissa, gather what’s valuable to you here. Let’s leave quickly. We still have a long journey ahead,” Vicente said to the two, unafraid, but unwilling to have to show his powers very often.
As he looked up at the sky, he considered his greatest fears at the moment. ’I have to keep as low-profile as possible. Otherwise, I’m afraid I’ll end up attracting the attention of the Entitled Deities and other Devils. That wouldn’t be good for my plans!’
As soon as Rex and Larissa had collected the most precious parts of the Behemoth’s corpse, the group set off towards the center of Red Enclave, continuing their journey towards Theloria’s ancestral home.
Now, however, they were more alert to their surroundings, having experienced enough to put the island on a higher level than The Inviting Isles.
