Taking the Mafia to the Magic World - Chapter 1157: Farewell

Chapter 1157: Farewell
Vicente departed with Kong and Jelgos after Mylecent’s suggestion for him to pursue the rest of the Law of Darkness in Argardus.
Naturally, the three spent a considerable amount of time contemplating Mylecent’s suicidal suggestion.
Devils could not enter Argardus, just as Deities could not cross the gates of Hell.
Devils and Deities were opposite entities, contrary in their foundations, protected and governed by rules beyond their own powers.
Anyone attempting to enter the domain of the other side would feel their powers dissipate, before having their physical body and even their souls annihilated.
It was no wonder their absolute dimensions were so secure against their mortal enemies!
Even so, Mylecent wanted Vicente to take that step toward danger…
Kong and Jelgos were aware of Vicente’s singular powers, but they still considered her advice extremely dangerous.
Even if he wasn’t immediately annihilated by the laws of Argardus, he would still be in a hostile environment, full of enemies who would benefit from his death.
Thus, the two followed in silence behind Vicente, wondering what he would do next, if he would dare, and if he followed Mylecent’s suggestion, where he would end up.
Vicente also pondered Mylecent’s words. Rationally, it seemed absurd. The mere thought of the subject should evoke terror and various ideas of death in one’s mind. However, what he felt was different. For him, it was as if going to Argardus would not be a taboo, but a natural journey.
Vicente didn’t take long to realize why.
’It seems that’s the intention of the Law of Darkness. Maybe that’s the most appropriate path for me, despite how dangerous it could be…’
It took an indescribable amount of time for him to conclude he should follow Mylecent’s advice. His powers seemed to demand it. His throne seemed to desire it. And, rationally speaking, it seemed obvious this was his next step.
In the end, Vicente was with an incomplete law. Wouldn’t it be natural for him to complete it, since it seemed possible?
’Maybe this is the way for me to become a Transcendent.’
He concluded the same as Mylecent.
Vicente was at the peak of the 9th stage and knew he could fight against some of the strongest beings from the different layers of reality. However, he was still a Sorcerer, limited qualitatively and quantitatively by his cultivation.
Only one more change could put him in the same league as those he believed were his hopes to recover the Nine Paths!
Thus, when the trio stopped, days after leaving Mylecent’s territory, Vicente was convinced of his next steps, although he hadn’t said anything about it to his companions.
He focused on the return of Larissa and Rex, having ordered Jelgos to signal the other two sent by Lothur to return from wherever they were.
Vicente meditated in silence for six days, until, on the seventh day, stopped at the agreed meeting place with the others, just when his companions appeared on the horizon.
“Finally, we can go back,” Kong said as he felt Vicente was out of meditation.
Jelgos watched curiously as the two friends of Vicente had grown stronger in the last weeks. ’Both have become much more powerful. It seems they will reach their leader’s cultivation level in a short time.’
Vicente smiled as he felt the forces of the lion, and the human had improved. Unlike him, who had a profound magical base and difficult to raise, Larissa and Rex had reached the end of the 9th stage and already showed signs that it wouldn’t take long for them to reach the 10th stage!
“You seem to have made the most of the time we gave you,” Vicente said with his eyes arched, seeing the secrets of the two as if they were transparent to him.
Rex laughed in self-satisfaction, while Larissa said, “Our powers have been connected since we received subordinate infernal crowns to your powers. Our growth was even more potent when something in you changed, days ago.”
Rex and Larissa didn’t know the details, but they had clearly felt a change in their crowns recently.
Kong narrowed his eyes, not having noticed the same until that moment.
All those who had a connection with Vicente before he absorbed the Law of Darkness had their essences enhanced!
Vicente laughed as if it wasn’t a big thing. “Since you know I had an opportunity, then I don’t need to explain what will happen now.”
“We’re going back urgently?” Rex questioned, already knowing the answer.
“That’s right,” Vicente nodded, becoming more serious. “We’ve fulfilled what we should do on this trip. Now Hell won’t be safe for us for a while. And there are things we need to resolve that can only be resolved in Anicane.”
Rex and Larissa nodded in understanding, not questioning or making it difficult for Vicente. They greeted Kong and Jelgos and quickly seemed ready to leave.
Vicente said to Lothur’s men. “You’ve helped us a lot in these weeks. Please transmit my thanks to Senior Ritter. I hope to send information from my journey outside of Hell in not too long.”
Jelgos positioned himself in front of the other two demons, gesturing in respect to Vicente. “I will personally convey your thanks and thoughts to my master. But before that, accept that one of us accompanies you. The journey ahead will be difficult. We won’t be as useful to you for long, but let us facilitate your path a little more.”
Vicente didn’t refuse.
Lothur had told Vicente earlier he would allow one of these beings to go to Anicane with him as if they were his own guardians.
Given the plans Vice had now and the level of enemies he had in mind, he couldn’t help but appreciate one of them accompanying him.
The group quickly agreed, with the one who would follow Vicente and the others understanding what should be done.
Before leaving or seeing Vicente’s group go away, Jelgos asked, “Do you intend to go deep into what we discussed with her?”
“My destiny doesn’t seem to depend entirely on what I want… Maybe I have no choice… Who knows? But her words moved me. I feel she gave me an important clue about where we should be to achieve true freedom.”
Jelgos said nothing immediately.
Vicente was powerful, perhaps as strong as him, even with such a difference between their cultivations. But he agreed the destiny of some escapes the possibilities of others.
“Sigh! If we meet again, I hope to tell how I survived.” Vicente laughed as he controlled his powers and the teleportation device.
Jelgos nodded and said, “Good luck. I hope to hear that story.”
With those words, the demon and his companion saw a special distortion swallow Vicente’s group, taking them far away without leaving traces behind.
