Tease Me - Page 161
“Then do we want to just say no comment?” I try to relax into the chair.
Madison sets her plate down and walks over to sit beside me. Her hands go to the back of my neck and rub at the tense muscles. “What matters is we’re all here together. We can just live our lives. No need to hide what we are to each other. Maybe, in a way, Patrick freed us to just be ourselves.”
I pull Madison onto my lap so she straddles me. Her blue eyes meet mine. “I want to take you out on a proper date, princess.”
“I’d like that, boss.” She kisses me briefly before returning to rubbing my shoulders. “I’m happy staying in, but I do need to live my life a little more. Maybe see the outside now that my stalker is neutralized.”
“We still want to protect you.” I breathe out a sigh. “But you’re right. We need to get back to living our lives for us. Which means dates and romantic evenings. Time in the play room. Being all together and having our time to play with you alone.”
“Work in there somewhere too.” Madison smiles and leans in to kiss me. She sighs softly. “I love all of you. I want to make this work. I want to have a future together.”
“That’s what we all want, princess.” That’s what we all need.

“You’ve got this, princess.” Seth straightens my blouse in the greenroom.
I touch my nervous stomach. This isn’t like getting up in front of a class and giving a presentation.
A woman ducks her head into the room and says, “Five minutes to go on air.” Then she wanders off.
I drag in a breath. I’m about to discuss my sex life on television.
“You’ll do amazing.” Seth slides his hand up my neck and searches my eyes. “You’ve been through so much already. This is just one more hurdle to jump. Just remember everything we went over.”
I smile and arch an eyebrow. “Maybe I shouldn’t have been naked while we went over the interview questions?”
“It’s the best way for you to forget yourself and just be.” His thumb skates along my jaw. “I’d kiss you, but I don’t want to mess up your makeup.”
I glance over my shoulder. “Do you really think I can do this?”
It will just be me and the interviewer. Well, and the crew and Seth watching.
“Yes. I believe in you, princess.” He presses his forehead to mine. “Now go kick that hornet’s nest.”
I laugh, but it doesn’t put me at ease.
“Just pretend you’re talking to me.” His blue eyes capture my attention and hold it. I could lose myself in them so easily.
“It’s time, Ms. Harris.”
Seth smiles and takes my hand as we follow the woman in black onto the set. They stop me and fit me with a mic. Seth steps back and smiles. Fuck, I fought so hard for that smile and it warms my heart every time.
The production assistant leads me over to two chairs next to each other. We decided to go with Mary Striker for the interview. She’s fair and generally a good interviewer.
“Mary will be in in a moment.” The assistant walks away leaving me alone on the soundstage.
I straighten my skirt and cross my ankles, tucking them under the chair. Seth decided on what to dress me in. We discussed pants, but I didn’t want to hide anymore. Not now.
Mary walks onto the set and takes a seat. A flurry of activity circles her as they put her mic on and touch up her makeup and hair. When they finish, Mary smiles at me.
“Thank you so much for agreeing to this interview, Madison.”
I return. “We just want to tell our story and clear up any confusion.”
