Ten Lucky Draws: I Became OP - Chapter 380: The Hunted Becomes... (2)

Chapter 380: The Hunted Becomes… (2)
When the explosion faded, almost nothing was left.
Dex’s legion was gone—every last Devil wiped out. Somehow, Dex and Desiree were still breathing, though barely, and that was the wildest part.
They’d thought it was over when the blast swallowed them whole. But now…
Dex stared at the emptiness, unable to process what his senses already told him.
His arm was gone—just gone—and he hadn’t even felt it happen.
’How…? How did I survive through that?’ he wondered.
Beside him, Desiree trembled, her hands shaking as they traced her face.
Then her breath caught.
“My… my eyes… I can’t—” Her voice cracked, raw with fear. She’d faced many things and dealt even worse things out over her long life.
But this… this was different.
And the worst part?
Neither of them had sensed a single ripple of power.
Every cultivator knew the instinct of death — that primal warning that screamed when the end approached. But when Aurora’s explosion swallowed them, that instinct vanished.
It felt like being wiped away by something so far beyond them it was impossible to grasp.
They survived only thanks to Aurora, and for good reason—like all her parents, she’d been taught by a certain yandere Devourer.
It was Nia who told her that if anyone ever tried to walk over her, she should make sure not only they, but their entire faction, felt it.
And when she did, Nia added, it should be with a smile, all in the name of Ash himself.
Back then, she laughed it off, blaming it on Nia’s nature. But years later, she saw with her own eyes Vaeloria destroying an entire universe simply because they refused to bend the knee.
So, even though she retreated… she wouldn’t be gone for long.

Number 198 herself stood not in the best shape either. Unlike these two, she was in the Hierarchy Saint rank.
The Peak of it, but that wasn’t all. All Existential Horrors were special because, for one… none of them were ever lower than a 6D being.
And depending on the dimension, they would be able to access the absolute peak of their Layers. Meaning she, could access beyond the 300th Layer.
[A/N: What I mean is that, for instance, if they are in the Middle Dimensions, Horrors can surpass the 300th Layer. Likewise, if they are in the Higher Dimensions, they can exceed that peak as well.]
—
Aurora noticed something during her scan.
“Impossible… how could she deny the script of true reality?” Number 198 wondered, as unlike Dex and Desiree, her wounds began to heal instantly.
The script of true reality could only be countered by another script of its own. Yet Aurora hadn’t really countered it at all.
She hadn’t done anything in particular, yet her existence as the Unus Convergent made her ’will’ a complicated thing.
It wasn’t just her own—her mother’s and uncles’ wills were all tangled together. So, in a way, she had simply found a loophole.
Without even trying…
Number 198 glanced at the two Devils and tossed them a vial of pills, each marked with inscriptions.
“Use these to heal up… and let me know the moment she shows up again.” Before leaving, she added a final remark.
“I need to get in touch with some higher-ups.”

[A/N: I know we haven’t gone too deep into Alchemy yet, but it’s on the way. As their will be a certain Alchemy waifu.]
When Aurora and the others arrived, she glanced around at them, noticing they were still frozen in place.
She tried crafting a few artifacts to help, but nothing seemed to work—until Elysia appeared in her full form. As soon as she did, her golden eyes drifted to the space behind Aurora, and she simply shook her head.
’Shouldn’t they be busy?’ She thought with a smile.
She then hugged Aurora tightly.
“My little lullaby, I’ve missed you!” She said placing a kiss onto her cheek.
Aurora giggled, rolling her eyes.
“Oh, Mother Elysia, we can talk anytime… aren’t you being a little dramatic?” she said.
“Tsk, please. You know that’s just a fragment of my consciousness,” Elysia replied as she pulled away, turning her gaze toward Isis, Xeros, and his companions.
“Now, I won’t help you often. Consider this a freebie…” As she said that the black tattoos on her arms glowed a bit.
Like all black tattoos, she possessed the power of Visual Commands. It was something far beyond mere foresight—one glance from her was enough to undo their frozen states.
But before they could fully unfreeze, she vanished, leaving only her final words behind.
“Hurry back, before your father comes here himself!”
“Wait!” Aurora called, grabbing Elysia before she could disappear.
“Can your kind of… turn Isis into a Goddess too?” she asked, no longer feeling like keeping up the pretense.
Especially if Ash was calling her back… well, he wasn’t, but that’s all she heard when Elysia told her to hurry up.
“Pfft, isn’t it your power system too?” Elysia laughed before vanishing.
—-
Aurora rolled her eyes, as she figured Elysia could just snap her fingers and do it. But seeing her truly leave, she floated cross-legged as the others snapped awake.
“What the hell just happened?” Xeros asked as he warily looked around. The last thing he noticed was runes etching in the skies and a voice sounding.
After that, everything was a blur for all of them.
“Just someone who’s offered the perfect opportunity…” Aurora said as she wrapped up her thoughts on the song.
“To show you all what it means to have a daddy like mine!”
|Song of Birth (Tier 1)|
Now, long ago she had previously planned to set the power system in the way that stars would always be born along with new beings.
In this way there would always be diversity amongst powers, but like when Ash created billions of entities or those already inhabiting the verse.
She now had to do the same, this time for Isis.
She wouldn’t turn her into a Unus—she figured it was best for Ash to handle that.
After all, she didn’t want her friend to fall behind on the hierarchy.
For now, making her a Goddess would be enough, especially since she could link Isis’s Growth to her own.
After all, she was technically a co-owner of the power system, and like Ash, she couldn’t bring anyone beyond her own level.
But making someone match her power was easy.
“Isis, you better make me your best friend after this,” she said, and before the Dragon could ask, she began to hum a few notes, while singing.
Hum! Hum! Huuuuum!
In that moment, a rift opened behind Aurora, linking directly to Ash’s cultivation verse. It lasted only an instant, but in that instant, Isis was struck by a white beam from the Akashic Records.
The beam completely cleansed her of the external power system before wrapping her in a cocoon.
Xeros stared, wide-eyed.
“Again what… what was all of that?”
Aurora smiled warmly, her expression bright.
“You’ll find out soon enough… but for now, it’s time for a brother-sister bonding trip.”
She glanced at Xeros’ wives.
“You four stay with Isis. Keep an eye on her until she’s out of the cocoon.”
The wives bristled and stepped forward.
“We’re not leaving Xeros alone with—”
Xeros sighed and raised a hand to stop them.
“Just wait a bit,” he said firmly. “I’ll be fine…. you all stay with Isis.”
Before they could object, Aurora hummed once more.
—
Space curled softly around her and Xeros, and in an instant, they were back on the 79th Heaven, standing atop one of the drifting sky-islands.
Aurora moved without hesitation.
Xeros watched, still trying to get an understanding of this sister of his.
’How is she so… casual?’ He thought as he continued to watch.
She raised her hand and began to sing — a short, elegant melody that wove itself into reality.
A small, white bird formed in her palm, wings made of pure harmonic light. It fluttered once, then shot forward like an arrow, racing across the Heaven in search of the Everlasting Devils’ scent.
And…. it only took moments.
Chirp!
The bird circled back, perching on her finger and chirping once.
Aurora smiled.
“Looks like we’re going to the 80th Heaven,” she said. “The Everlasting Devils’ main territory.”
Xeros narrowed his eyes. “What… are you the embodiment of music or something?”
Aurora’s smile turned sharp, with just a hint of playfulness.
“Brother,” she said softly,
“I am music itself.”
