Chapter 432: Pissing Off Reality (4)
The moment Ash returned to the Alchemy Domain, time resumed and so did his chaos.
However, there was something — or more accurately, someone — who had already left the domain before he froze everything.
The Lord of Alchemy, he had vanished the instant the fighting commenced.
He had not gone to his chambers within the Alchemy Domain.
Instead, he appeared in a hidden, almost primordial like space — a realm of endless devouring darkness where even light feared to tread.
—-
There, seated upon a throne made of countless consumed lesser realities, was the Prime Devourer — the creator of the Existential Horrors.
His form was ever-shifting sometimes a colossal maw of teeth and void, sometimes a humanoid silhouette wrapped in layers of consumed universes.
Right now, though, he appeared as a towering figure of swirling black and violet, eyes like bottomless pits that had swallowed entire cosmoses.
As the Lord of Alchemy appeared, The Prime Devourer was reviewing the changes to the game involving the Organisms, as multiple holographic feeds floating around him.
Yet, The Lord of Alchemy stepped forward completely disregarding the game. It was something he and countless others knew about, but it was also something he didn’t pay any mind.
In this moment, his ancient face was tight with urgency. He was not here for the game… he was here for the Devourer himself… for a favor.
“Old Alchemy…. what is it.” The Devourer said raising his eyes.
Without wasting words, he raised his hand and projected a live feed of Ash in the Alchemy Domain — currently beating back thousands of empowered fighters with casual, overwhelming dominance.
“Hm?” The Devourer leaned forward at the sight of Ash.
With a wave of his hand, he dissolved everything related to the Organisms and zoomed in on the live feed.
There it was, plain as day—the champion of Ancestor Seeker. Right now, he was humiliating the Shadow Genasi just like he had done to the General.
This went on for two weeks until every opponent was literally beaten to death.
And to make matters worse, two races teetered on the edge of civil war: the Human Domain and the Genasi, after he framed the Light Genasi in the same way as the Third Human Empire.
The Prime Devourer watched quietly, his endless eyes narrowing as recognition struck.
“That one…” he rumbled, his voice like the grinding of consumed realities.
“He’s the Champion Ancestor Seeker chose to participate in the game recently….. I’ve seen him before.”
At the sound of those words… The Lord of Alchemy’s face grew grim. It wasn’t about him being a champion, as that truly didn’t make much sense to him.
But the mentioning of one of the three most ancient beings in all of reality was a real problem.
“Champion?” He questioned with a frown, “Then how is it possible for him to be outside, if your little game is still ongoing?”
The Prime Devourer narrowed his eyes.
“I’m… not sure,” he said. “Ancestor Seeker did mention this little rat being special…”
’Still… this is perfect,’ he thought. ’He must pay for killing even one of my children.’
The space fell silent for a moment before he spoke again.
“It’s better to take it slow,” he said, his tone measured and cautious.
“We need to build a proper plan to ensure his death. Rushing in blindly will only bring about too many consequences…. He is… different. Dangerous in ways even I can’t fully comprehend, almost like he’s not from this reality….”
The Lord of Alchemy clenched his fists, hearing this but didn’t refute. Much like the Devourer, Luna, and countless others that knew the truth behind the Organisms, they knew this was not the sole reality.
And very rarely did they interact with such beings…. such beings that were literally outside of their comprehension.
The Prime Devourer leaned forward on his throne, the void around him deepening.
“Soon, the game will resume. In that moment I will find all information about him… The moment he returns to Reality, he dies.”
The two ancient beings stared at the feed of Ash, Luna, and the Pill woman all casually chatting amongst the fallen.
Unknowingly…. or full well knowing, things were changing.
And for the first time, these two beings both felt the faint, unfamiliar taste of caution.
Then before the feed broke, Ash chuckled as his voice echoed through the primordial-like space.
“Haha, better learn all you can,” he said. “Because when I return… indeed, someone will be dying.”
—-
“Who were you talking to?” Luna asked as she was still in slight shock at the display he had done.
Ash chuckled and shrugged it off as nothing, his hands slipping back into his pockets with casual ease.
“No one important,” he said lightly, as if he hadn’t just threatened two ancient and powerful entities.
“Just some old geezers who like to watch from the shadows.”
He turned to her fully, his golden eyes warm despite the casual tone.
“It’s time for us to go back…. and you should meet the rest of the family properly.”
Luna blinked, still trying to take it all in—the effortless way he had taken down thousands, the sheer power at his command, and now his casual dismissal of whatever had just occurred.
She started to speak, then thought better of it, deciding some questions could wait.
“…Alright,” she said at last, a faint, curious smile tugging at her lips.
“We also need to talk about something you might find interesting.” Ash extended his arm with a playful grin, and Luna accepted.
In a swirl of light, they disappeared from the Alchemy domain.
—-
They reappeared in the Sacred Dimension — inside the grand central palace where the rest of the wives were already gathered.
The moment they materialized, all eyes turned toward them.
Ash smiled as he gently guided Luna forward.
“My Loves… this is Luna. Our Goddess of Alchemy.~”
Luna stood tall, her yellow eyes scanning the room with a mix of curiosity and quiet resolve, taking in the faces of the Ineffable Pantheon.
The family greeted her with varying degrees of warmth, teasing, and genuine welcome.
Nia raised a brow, “Another one? Ashy once told us he wouldn’t gain any more women.” She said teasingly.
Aphrodite smiled softly, stepping forward first.
“Welcome, Luna. We’ve heard a lot about you.” As she said those words, she looked towards Aurelia and Lithia who only laughed.
The rest followed — some with hugs, some with playful jabs, others with quiet nods of acceptance.
Ash watched it all with a content smile, allowing things to flow as they did naturally.
After a few moments, he spoke. “Alright, let’s focus on the next eight millennia.”
