The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System - Chapter 624 - Teach me your ways, master!

Chapter 624 – Teach me your ways, master!
It was a dull day in the mission hall of the Celestial Fairy Sect.
Few disciples had shown up looking for missions, and there wasn’t even a single bit of drama to liven up the atmosphere, with no disciples demanding what wasn’t theirs, no fights, nothing.
Having troublesome disciples was a pain, of course, but at least they livened up the slow, emotionless days.
The attendant who had handed Qingyi his mission was sprawled in her chair, looking bored as the hall grew increasingly empty.
“Hm… I hope my little sister made those wonderful rice cakes. I’m really going to need them when my shift ends,” she sighed, lazily rising from her chair.
She took a single step forward when, suddenly, she froze in place upon receiving an audio transmission.
The Ma family had confirmed that Qingyi had successfully completed the mission.
He would receive a total of one thousand spirit crystals, plus a fifty percent bonus, and she, in turn, would earn a two percent commission on the base payment.
Twenty celestial spirit crystals. Almost four months’ worth of her salary.
It was hard to contain her excitement. Her eyes immediately turned to the pavilion door, fixating on it with an anticipation she rarely felt at work.
She even stopped attending to new disciples, completely absorbed in staring at that entrance, waiting for the man whose success would guarantee her a wardrobe full of new clothes.
It was nearly two hours before the door finally opened.
The figure that emerged was that of a handsome young man, the most handsome that attendant had ever seen in her entire life in the sect.
“Taoist Brother! Taoist Brother!” She called out to him excitedly, jumping up from her chair. “Come over to my desk! You completed the mission, right? I’ll prepare your reward right away! Hehehe.”
She chuckled, letting her eyes linger on Qingyi’s beauty for a brief moment before forcing herself to focus on her work.
She was a realist. She knew she didn’t stand a chance with a man like that, especially since he was a black dragon.
‘I don’t even really like men that much, anyway,’ she thought, pouting in frustration with herself as she took the mission scroll from Qingyi’s hands.
The process of redeeming the spirit crystals didn’t take long.
Qingyi signed some papers, deposited a drop of his aura, and finally received the one thousand five hundred celestial spirit crystals that were owed to him.
With a broad smile on his face, he set off toward his residence.
He wanted to check in on how Chen Wei was doing and then simply throw himself into the arms of his wives and get a good night’s sleep. Fortunately, he didn’t have to look far.
A growl laced with envy echoed behind him before he even sensed the presence.
“Y-you… lucky, handsome bastard! What the hell did you do to charm the sect leader’s daughter? Did you see her face? What was she like?”
Turning around, Qingyi found Chen Wei running toward him, trembling and nearly in tears.
Chen Wei grabbed hold of Qingyi’s robes without ceremony.
“While your weak little junior brother was suffering, trying to survive against that damned Young Master Luo and Guo Tianhao, you were
going after the real prize…” He sniffed dramatically. “Teach me your ways, master.”
“If you give me your mother, I might consider looking into your case,” Qingyi replied with a gentle smile, and Chen Wei hung his head in despair.
Why did the price for greatness have to be so high?
His dear little mother… how could he sell her like this?
Ignoring the drama, Qingyi simply kept walking, with Chen Wei dragging his feet beside him.
“I’ve never met the sect leader’s daughter, believe me. Honestly, I don’t even know what made that crazy girl fixate on me so much,” he
said thoughtfully, furrowing his brow slightly.
The fact that she was so obsessed with a man she didn’t even know really didn’t make sense. Did she know something he didn’t? Who could that woman be?
The thought made Qingyi uncomfortable, so he simply changed the
subject.
“You’ve advanced to the first stage of the Astral Blood Realm. Are you still getting beaten up by Young Master Luo?” Qingyi asked, changing
the subject.
“Getting beaten?” The drama on Chen Wei’s face vanished in an
instant, replaced by genuine pride. “I’ve been beating him up, teaching him who’s boss! That bastard only has the upper hand against me because he has so many minions.
Qingyi merely nodded.
In fact, he didn’t believe Young Master Luo was a match for Chen Wei.
He had never fought Chen Wei personally, but he knew full well that his power was real, forged through life-and-death experiences. Young Master Luo, on the other hand, had always been protected by
his many subordinates, even within the sect, where he grew up under Tianhao’s wing and, as a result, amassed a multitude of followers among the outer disciples.
That was his greatest and only advantage.
“You know, Brother Qingyi, you should become my henchman!” Chen Wei declared, puffing out his chest with pride. “I can pay you a decent salary and even give you days off once in a while if you introduce me to the sect leader’s daughter…”
A job seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, serving the great Chen Wei for all eternity.
Who wouldn’t love something like that?
“Hahaha, keep dreaming.” Qingyi laughed, patting the other man on
the shoulder.
The conversation continued for a few more moments, exchanging
basic updates on what was happening in the sect, before the two
finally parted ways.
Alone again, Qingyi made his way back to the building where his room was located, a path winding through a dense forest.
Normally, he would simply fly over the trails, seeking to reach his destination as quickly as possible. But this time, something held him
back.
A sensation. Subtle, yet unmistakable.
As if something were watching him.
With slow steps, Qingyi left the trail and walked a few hundred
meters until he reached a small clearing, where a stream flowed quietly among the rocks, the murmur of the water breaking the forest’s silence.
He took a step toward the water and then stopped.
From behind him, a voice echoed.
Sweet, high-pitched, and serene, the kind of voice that could only come from the mouth of a woman so adorable that even the most
selfish of men would throw himself into a pot of boiling oil to rescue
her.
“Oh… so you really are Daddy’s heir! Hehehe~~”
