The dragon's harem - Chapter 1276 - 1276: Guess Who is My Wife?

Tempo sheathed his sword, and his body was set ablaze. In a second, he grew larger and larger, shifting away from his human form and into his true Titan body.
A 1.9-kilometer-tall Titan that looked exactly like Tempo stood beside Arad, towering over the edge of the great crater.
Tempo looked at Arad and smiled, “You know, it feels weird now to look down at you. At the university, you were always taller than me. Taller than everyone else.”
“You know me well.” Arad’s body burned in a fire as he mimicked Tempo’s transformation.
Arad’s body grew and swelled up. The stone around him melted, and he suddenly became taller than the Titan Tempo, standing at around 2.4 kilometers tall.
Tempo strained his neck to look at Arad’s face and smiled, “Now this is more familiar, except, what should I call you? Big sister?”
Arad looked at the frying pan of a kingdom ahead of them. “Anything would work fine as long as I could understand that you are addressing me.”
Arad then pointed forward, “You’re the prince of this kingdom. Shouldn’t you have a back door to this defensive magic?”
Tempo shook his head, “And what if I turned rogue? The barrier keeps everyone out equally until allowed inside by the people in the royal castle. Even I have to knock and wait for permission.”
“I see, manners are important. Luckily, I do lack those sometimes.” Arad stepped forward and slid on the slope. It only took him a few seconds to reach the molten lava. But instead of sinking, he took a step on top of it, and it dried beneath his feet.
“I see!” Tempo jumped down and landed beside him, testing the endurance of the stone. “We’ll walk there? But what about the defensive barrier? The one that’ll attack us?”
“I’ll just swat it away. I might have to look like a Volcanic Titan, but that doesn’t mean I have to be normal. There is a reason I chose to be this massive since you can guess a Titan’s potential by looking at their height.”
Arad wasn’t even letting Nar or Amber absorb the lava’s heat. He was doing it on his own through temperature magic. He might not be as suitable or skilled to absorb heat from billions of small ash particles, but the flowing lava was easy to deal with.
“You sure are full of surprises. Is there anything that you can’t do?” Tempo looked at Arad with a faint smile, and Arad shook his head. A sad expression on his face. “I can’t cook anything decent.”
As Tempo gave him a puzzled look, the two walked toward the city.
With each step forward, torrents of fire raged from the lava and swirled around Arad and Tempo like a violent storm, emitting enough heat to melt steel.
Such a deadly heat didn’t affect the two approaching Titans. The tall woman with flaming eyes in the front seemed to absorb all of the heat, consumed as if it were nothing. And the young Titan behind her also looked unbothered, for this was his home.
Damnation finally noticed the two of them slow down and looked in their direction.
A strange expression crossed her face as her eyebrows contorted. “I see. She is the one helping him. I’ve never heard of such a Titan. By Nyar, she is huge.”
Damnation looked at her body, the body that once belonged to Vulkan. “Nowhere near Vulkan, but still, the biggest Volcanic Titan they’ve given birth to in the past centuries was barely around 2 kilometers tall.” She growled, “To think such a talent was wondering the world unclaimed. I see, so that bastard Tempo didn’t leave to settle a diplomatic relationship with humans; he was going after her in secret.”
She then frowned. Tempo’s father didn’t know anything about that Titan woman, so was this Tempo’s plan? Not the plan of his father? Was he trying to steal the throne? The sly bastard pretended to be an obedient and well-natured son only to stab his parents in the back. How amusing.
At the start, Damnation felt at a bit of a disadvantage, not being able to see them, but now that they got close enough, she can directly attack them. Or at least send something that isn’t a slow Ash Spawn.
“So she can harm souls and has a harrowing affinity to fire by her right of birth as such a huge Volcanic Titan.
Damnation smiled, lifting her fingers and flicking them. “I did need some new servants. You two would be perfect.”
The lava in front of Arad and Tempo stirred and started vibrating violently. Tempo looked around around and almost panicked, “ARAD! We need to move. The fish is coming!”
“What fish lives in lava?” Arad lifted an eyebrow, only for his question to be answered almost immediately. A titanic maw, almost five kilometers wide and high, burst from the boiling depths ahead of them, threatening to swallow them whole.
BLOOOOP!
“AW! A lava bloop?” Arad gasped and lifted his hands up. He and Tempo didn’t have time to run away, dodge, or do anything except try to kill the Lava Bloop before it ate them whole. And, of course, Arad has a perfect way to show immense destructive power without breaking his cover.
A massive flame claymore appeared in his hands as he took a stance and then swung the sword down.
[Divine Severance]
The flaming claymore silently fell down, and the sky twisted, ripping apart. The flames surged, and the lava evaporated. The sun turned off, and the Lava Bloop looked to have blinked out of reality for a second and returned in the next one, severed in half from head to tail.
It was then that chaos consumed the massive crater. A large chunk of the lava had disappeared, so the lava level dropped significantly. The frying pan of a kingdom that the Volcanic Titans lived in shook and almost sank to the bottom of the lava pool. Tempo gasped for air, and Arad exhaled, a stream of divine fire escaping his large lips like torrents of crackling lightning.
A deep laughter escaped from inside Arad’s stomach. “That’s it! Show them what you can do!”
Damnation cursed her luck. That wasn’t normal divine magic. It was Kali’s divine magic, the harrowing destruction. The Titan woman was an orphan, most likely, and so gained the goddess’s favor.
“A Paladin of Destruction? How in the fucking bloody hell no one ever heard of her? Shit! Shit! How long has that bastard been planning? To bring a herald of Destruction to his kingdom, and a one capable of such devastation?” She stood from her throne. The situation had suddenly changed a lot with such a thing being involved.
Arad smiled. ^Thanks for the help, Kali.^
^Don’t mention it, I’m your wife after all. Use as much divine magic as you can.^
