The dragon's harem - Chapter 1380 - 1380: Nothing Changed

“Sealed the core? Won’t allow me near it?” Arad smiled, lifting his palm up, “That doesn’t matter anymore.” The black hole appeared on his palm, spinning with a blindingly bright accretion disk illuminating the bright yellow sky.
The only thing holding back the black hole from swallowing this world was Arad’s will and dominion over the void. This was his greatest weapon and threat. If they knock him out, the black hole will swallow everything, and if they don’t give up, he’ll unleash it anyway.
But there was a problem. They had already given up, but not the way Arad wanted it. Arad wanted them to give up because they couldn’t win. Now, they gave up because it’s a hassle to win.
Arad knew he couldn’t win, so he was ready to accept that neither he nor the twins could lose, a real tie. He wanted to force that situation into a reality, but he didn’t want them to hand it to him like this.
The twins are saying that they can secure a clean win but are giving it to him.
Arad knew that it was a wise idea to take their offer up. It’ll save him and them the trouble.
Would he take it? Diana would probably kick him if he refused their offer. It’s really dumb to keep fighting after they’ve destroyed a whole world without a clear result.
Ray sighed, “Told you, we’re giving up. You can have the win.”
Rey looked at her sister and then at Arad, “Sister, he doesn’t look happy about that. I wonder if his pride is getting in the way or if he thinks we’ll backstab him.”
“Yes, you’re right.” Ray nodded, “I wish it was the former, but I think it’s the latter.” She then looked at Arad, “Come on, you can do it. Trust us, we won’t stab you in the back.”
Rey looked at him with a smug face, “I’ll just give you a light tap on the back of the head.”
“You two could block all magic, but I’ve never seen you cast a single spell besides the world teleportation and simple barriers.” Arad stared at them, and the twins’ eyes sparkled.
“Heard him, sister!” Ray gasped, and Rey energetically nodded, “We really didn’t use anything. Is that what he is worried about?”
“I bet it is!”
“I bet it is!” The two nodded to each other and then looked at him, “We’ll show you some spells. We can’t end this fight without casting any spells while being Mana Drakainas, right?”
Rey flicked her finger, and Arad’s black hole disappeared into nothing. Arad’s eyes rapidly turned toward his palm, and Ray laughed, rubbing her nose.
“You might’ve thought that I was skilled in teleportation magic and sister had another talent, but you’re wrong. We’re both equally as skilled in all magic. We’re twins, after all.” She leaned on Rey. “Sister here just took your black hole, outlined the area around it with a barrier, then teleported the whole thing into a locked time and space zone.”
Rey looked at Arad, “That’s a spaceless dimensional storage where a constant [Time Stop] spell is active. The black hole is harmless there.”
“Wait!” Arad looked again at his palm, “I was keeping it locked here in space and time using my void. Otherwise, it would’ve started to consume everything that touches the threads of time and space. How did you rip it away from my authority?”
“Simple.” Rey smiled, “We’ve both magic dragons, but I’m older, so my authority overrides yours with ease. I was a chromatic or metallic drakaina. This would’ve been impossible no matter how skilled in magic I could be.”
“Ah,” Ray approached Arad and leaned on his shoulder, “But, to tell you the truth. You’ll lose authority if it’s related to mana and magic, even if you were one stage older than us.” She smiled, “It’s how we magic dragons are specialized. If it’s space-related, you void win. If it’s mana-related, we win.”
Rey waved her hand, “Besides high magic like this, we can use basic spells as well. It’s just that we can modify them as we want and make them either stronger or weaker.” She flicked her wrist at a nearby mountain and cast [Fire Bolt]
Her spell looked nothing like the normal Fire Bolt. It was neither red, blue, or white fire, but instead, it was akin to a blinding arc of lightning that evaporated the whole mountain upon contact.
“See?” Ray clapped her hands, and all the ash and debris from that mountain disappeared. Then she clapped again, and they were all clean, no grime, no dirt, even their clothes got fixed.
The twins then looked at each other, “Ah, and probably should tell you this as well.”
“No need, I’ll tell him.” Yog was already standing on Arad’s head, “Those two are messengers of mine. Their job is to help me keep the weave of mana in the mortal world intact. You can say they are above a pope of mine by a lot.”
Arad sighed, “I should’ve known that you would have your grippy little fingers over anything magic-related.”
Yog laughed, “Why blame me? Magic is an essential part of the world, and I’m its goddess. I’m always with magic.” She then looked at the two, “You’re right. Dragons are supposed to be aggressive and prideful. There is no way they’ll just give up like you two did.” She waved her hand, “Here you go then. I shifted your binding from being linked directly to me to having Arad in the middle. He owns you now, and I’m just freely giving you divine magic and authority over mana.”
Rey and Ray looked at each other, “Care to define what you mean by own?”
“If he says you can’t have authority over mana, you’ll be banned from it as if I was the one to block you. Of course, you’re free to leave him and go, but that would mean losing all of your relation to magic besides what comes innate to you two. Ah, I’ll block your innate mana powers as well, so don’t leave him.” She waved her hand and disappeared.
Rey sighed, “She is always a handful.”
Ray nodded, “You’re right. But we’re already Arad’s maid. Nothing would change.”
“You’re wrong, sister. We’re Isdis’s maids, not his.” Rey looked at her, and Ray gasped.
“True, but I doubt that’ll be a problem.” She looked at Arad, “But I’ll be she is angry at us now. We’ll get an earful.”
