The dragon's harem - Chapter 1471: Sylph’s Garden

Chapter 1471: Sylph’s Garden
Walking into the grand and golden garden of Sylph, the first thing Arad noticed was that it wasn’t a castle or a mansion, not even a city; it was just a regular garden of ancient golden trees, vibrant emerald grass, mega-fauna, and a sea of flowers and roses growing everywhere.
Sylph lived in this garden, the trees formed rooms, and the grass was the carpet. Just reaching up, the branches themselves bent down with a fresh batch of fruits.
Looking into the distance, Arad could see one massive wooden throne that was almost as big as a castle. Beside it was a branch, a branch with so much power that Arad couldn’t even be wrong about its identity, that was the highest tip of the World Tree.
As they got inside, they heard the sound of something crunching with vibrant red liquid splashing all over the place. Some thought it was blood, but Arad couldn’t be fooled. He was a vampire and knew blood too well.
A dark elf was sitting inside one of the rooms, munching on a whole melon, skin and flesh included. Sylph glared at the dark elf with a disappointed face, “I told you guests are coming, Elis.”
“Isn’t it Arad! How are you, little dragon!” She waved her hand with a large smile on her melon-drenched face.
“Forget about that!” Sylph rubbed her face. “You didn’t answer me. Why are you still eating like that?”
“What’s your problem, Silly? You told me guests are coming, so I put some clothes on, good ones at that.” She looked down, and her whole dress was already covered in melon juices from her neck down. “Ok, this looks a bit bad. I should’ve put on a bib!”
Arad looked at the two goddesses, and then looked back at Mathilde. She only wears thin underwear made of gold, barely hiding her private part. “I see…”
Elis turned toward him with a frown, “You must be crazy if you think I wear something like that. I’m not like those weird elves.” She put the melon on the table. “I stay naked all the time, only wear clothes when other people are around.”
Sylph walked toward Elis with heavy steps, grabbed her by the left ear, and dragged her away. Minutes later, she brought her back. This time, the dark elf goddess wore a clean red dress decorated with golden roses.
Sylph pointed at the chairs, “Take a seat, if there is anything you want to eat, just say it.” She pointed at the trees, “I can either allow the garden to read your minds so you won’t need to speak or describe what you want, or you can do that verbally.”
She lifted her hand up, and the trees moved, their branches growing down toward her palm. Soon, those branches flowered and bore fruit, a large, plump red apple.
Everyone sat down, except Plum, who flew around, and she wasn’t just exploring. A second later, and before anyone could order anything, she was already looking directly into Elis’s purple eyes.
“Are you okay?” Plum asked, and the goddess’s eyes sparkled and her lips turned into a smile. “AH! You’re worried about me? How many years has it been? I’m fine, you don’t need to worry.”
“What’s her problem?” Merida asked, and Arad pointed at the half-eaten melon, “Dark elves only eat meat.”
Elis smiled, “It’s one of the perks of being a god. We don’t really need to eat, so eating is just for pleasure. Since I could only eat meat when I was a mortal, now I’m making up for that time.”
Arad looked around, and his eyes stopped at one massive tree. He lifted his hand and closed his eyes. He could let the trees read his mind directly.
The three moved, then froze, their branches turned toward Sylph.
The goddess lifted an eyebrow, “What did he order? If it were a beautiful and virgin maiden, I’m sure you’ll find many nuns in my church, just pick one for him to eat.”
Arad sighed and the tree shook, “What? You want more divine energy? What did… I don’t care, just make it for him.”
A second later, a massive barrel almost ten times the size of the room they were in emerged outside, and the tree looked withered and weak. The strong smell permeated the whole garden, and Arad walked out with a smile.
Arad touched the titanic barrel, and it shrank to the size of a mug that fit in his hand. He smelled the fresh, strong coffee the tree made for him, and it was just perfect.
He was a massive dragon, one kilometer long; this massive barrel was just a mug for him.
“That much coffee would kill you.” Elis looked at him with a smile, and he shrugged, “It won’t.”
She turned around and her eyes landed on Grace, “So first, let’s get going with you first.” She flicked her fingers, and Grace felt a bit dizzy.
“What, did you do?” Grace growled as the world around her flickered.
“Arad, it’s not working that well.” Elis frowned, “Whatever did this to her, it’s both related to dark elves and shadows. I can’t dispel it with my power alone; we need the help of Gracie, the mother of all life, she is the master of shadows.”
“I thought a divine goddess, especially someone like you, would be all-powerful.”
Elis let Grace go and shrugged, “Well, I’m all powerful when it comes to dark elves, not dragons. She is a half-breed, and that should give you the answer you need. We might even need to find Tiamat.” She looked at her hand, “That’s right. I fix the dark elf part, Tiamat fixes the half dragon part, and Gracie tames the shadows and banishes them away.”
Grace recoiled a bit, held her face, and groaned. She didn’t feel dizzy in decades, but here she was, wanting to throw up.
Merida pulled a large plate full of roasted meat, Cerilla pulled a salad bowl, and Dalla found herself with a platter full of fruits. Jasmine pulled a large kefir mug. “I hope it’s good.”
D just got some water, and standing before two goddesses was enough to stress her out. Even though the hat muffled all of her emotions and sucked them away, D couldn’t just start eating with two goddesses so close; she needed to remain vigilant.
Plum got a plum to eat. Sylph stared at her with a smile.
“What? I’m delicious, just ask Arad.”
Sylph looked at Arad, and he nodded. “Whatever she wants. But, can we talk about why we’re here?”
