The dragon's harem - Chapter 1472: Sylph’s Request

Chapter 1472: Sylph’s Request
Sylph smiled, “I guess she told you already, didn’t she?” She pointed at Plum and then glanced at Arad, “The reason for calling you all here is twofold, three if you count another matter.”
She looked at Elis and then sighed, “As Plum told you, I’m reaching the end of my time as a goddess. If I keep holding this place for a few more centuries, I would turn into a plant statue just like Core, the one you met right before getting here.”
“What?” Cerilla gasped with a pale face, and everyone froze, except Arad and Plum, who already knew.
“So I was right.” Plum sighed, “You are a goddess, but not a natural one. You’re the goddess of the elves, granted power by Yggdrasil. So the World Tree is the real divine being and deity, you’re just a vessel for its power, like Aella is a vessel for Zephyr’s power.”
Sylph nodded, “Well, elves usually only live for six to nine hundred years, with some reaching a thousand, but that’s rare. “Me, I lived for over five thousand years, and I’ll be kicking the six thousand mark soon. My body is already immortal, so I’ll live for the rest of time.” She looked out at the massive branch of the World Tree in the distance. “But if I keep using the World Tree power, you know how I’ll end up.”
She looked at Cerilla, “That’s why I want to give her the mantle. She is already a vessel for my power as a warlock, but now she’ll become a demi-goddess. And after a few decades or even a century, when her body is saturated with divine energy, she’ll become the goddess of the elves, and I’ll retire.”
Sylph leaned back, “After a few thousand years, she’ll have to find a vessel, make them into a demi-god, then surrender the power so she won’t become a statue. Of course, just like me, she’ll live for the rest of time as an immortal being.” Sylph looked at Arad, “Unless someone killed me in the meantime, I should be there to help her.”
Arad turned toward Elis, “And you?”
Elis looked back at him with a confused face, “What? Me? No. Yggdrasil is the deity of all elves. The elvish goddess is her vessel that rules over all of the elves, since Yggdrasil would rather spend her time keeping the universe stable than answering prayers about some random guy wanting to woe a random lady.” She pointed at Sylph, “This lady here is the goddess of all elves, dark elves and wood elves included, she is my goddess as well, even though I’m a goddess. We dark elf goddesses aren’t created in the same way; we ascend through martial arts and dances.”
She looked at Jasmine, “Take your sword and dance beneath the silver moon, mow hordes of abominations or monsters on your own, fight until your flesh disintegrates and your bones crumble into dust, but even then, your ashes must keep slashing and reaping lives. The way of the first goddess. That is the only proper way for a dark elf to become a god.”
“So you called Cerilla here to tell her about this.” Arad looked around, stopping at Cerilla, who was deep in thought.
“What about Yggdrasil? What did she want with Plum?” Arad asked, and the two goddesses shook their heads, “We don’t know much. She talked a lot, but didn’t say much about that, besides the fact that she didn’t like Plum spreading inside her world.”
Elis nodded, “Said something about Plum ripping the space holding the worlds apart by being like a piece of meat stuck between teeth, which is uncomfortable and might lead to permanent damage.”
Plum flew up and landed on Arad with a happy face, “I see! That’s the way I felt the space crack my tree is in getting tighter.”
“She tried to squeeze me out, but since the stick up her ass isn’t getting any shorter.” She pointed at herself with a smile, “Yours truly.” And nodded with a proud face. “She called me here to ask me to get out.”
“That’s right.” A small bonsai tree, a tiny replica of the World Tree, appeared out of the ground. “I called you here to tell you that you must stop, before you break something.”
Plum smiled, “Is your ass that tight?”
“No, but you’re like a parasite, a cancer eating at me, and when I get damaged like that, the worlds linked to me would crumble. Yog’s world is going to be the first to perish.” Yggdrasil growled, “And believe me, that little monster isn’t going to let you live if that happened.”
Plum smiled with a smug face, “Our goddess, my former goddess. What can she do here? This isn’t her world.”
“Well, well, well.” A voice spoke from behind, and Yog was already standing on Arad’s shoulder, right above Plum, who sat on his head.
“I could shove my fist up your urethra and rip the kidneys like fruits. But that’s just a theory, not like I’ve ever done that before.”
Hearing her speak, Arad was certain that she had done it to someone before. Calling her a demon is an insult to demons; this tiny goddess is a wild, nightmarish monster.
“You can’t do that.” Arad sighed and looked up, seeing nothing but darkness.
“Good try, smart boy. But you’ll never be able to see beneath my robe. I have dark magic covering my bits.” She jumped down and landed on the table. “Simple problem, simple solution. Plum can’t keep growing in the universe, up Yggdrasil’s ass as she explained. She has to grow up someone else’s ass, yours.” She pointed at Arad, “You’ll start eating dead worlds, let Plum grow in them, and birth a new life into them. Fixing two problems with one action. Help Yggdrasil and terraform the dead worlds so you can use them later.”
“Terraform the dead worlds. Didn’t Yggdrasil say that activating her trees would bring those worlds back to life?” Arad stared at Sylph, and Yog sat down with a smug face.
“That would only work for the worlds where her sapling tree is still alive. If that branch dies, she can’t plant another one. A world can only have one World Tree; if it loses it, then it is the end. We can take the whole world, crush and recycle it to build a new one, but why waste all of that energy and effort when we can just shove it into the large stomach of a void dragon and have his little fairy plant her own tree there?”
Yog’s words hung in the air for a while before Sylph broke the silence. “The long-term plan is to have you, one of the strongest void dragon relative to age, build a whole small universe inside your stomach to act as a recon unit outside the bounds of the universe.”
Elis finished after him, “You’re doing what AO did, but unlike him, you’re far weaker. But, you’ve also got a whole universe and its god backing you up. If the abominations invade and win, everyone dies, so we have to bend the rules a bit and try something new.”
