The dragon's harem - Chapter 1518: A Creature of Nightmares

Chapter 1518: A Creature of Nightmares
Arad rushed forward, facing Balina’s deadly breath head-on. He had many ways of defending against it, but all of them needed magic. So instead, he wanted to try and dive straight into it, using his massive body as a shield.
With a single leap, Arad pulled his limbs tightly, turning into a cannonball that flew straight into the acid, splashing through it like a bullet. By the time he reached Balina, his calves and forearms that he used to protect his torso had already melted away.
She gasped, tried to dodge aside, but she was a second too late. She didn’t expect him to take the hit head-on and charge like this, but that’s what he did.
As Arad reached her, it was clear that he didn’t have his legs or arms; he could neither land nor catch her. So she got a bit confident and braced herself.
With her claws fully drawn, Balina was ready for a clash, aiming straight at Arad’s neck. He had never used his magic or healed, so she doesn’t expect him to change that now and pull any tricks.
Arad indeed didn’t pull any tricks; he opened his mouth wide the moment Balina’s claws got close to his neck and bit her hand off. The speed at which his jaw closed shit was horrifying, and before Balina could even feel the pain of her hand getting bit off, Arad crashed onto her like a cannonball and sent her rolling.
She fell on the ground, unable to breathe as too many of he ribs shattered on the impact. Arad, on the other hand, landed on her, still as energetic as ever.
Balina tried to move, but found out that thanks to Arad’s massive size, both of her arms were tucked to her side beneath his hips, pinning her to the ground.
Arad roared, swinging the melted stump of his right arm down. Balina’s eyes widened, seeing the sharp bone flying right at her face. She managed to dodge at the last second, but not before Arad’s left arm was moving as well.
At first, Balina thought that Arad was merely strong. She did expect him to be far stronger than her, but what she was facing now was a nightmare. He wasn’t using any of his magic, but still could fight with a half-destroyed body, swinging the melted bones of his arms at her like daggers without a care for pain.
She was slowly getting terrified.
Staying under him like this was extremely dangerous, so she covered her whole body in slippery soap and tried to wiggle her way out from beneath his hips. She managed to slip away, but before she could move far, Arad fell down and caught her foot with a bite.
She looked down with a terrified face and saw something that she would never forget in her life. Arad was massive, and of course, his mouth was just as big; his jaw clenched shut around her ankle.
Using the muscles of his massive neck, Arad pulled her closer to him, released his jaw, and then bit again, effectively moving from biting her ankle to biting her calves.
She gasped, trying to escape his grasp, but Arad wasn’t letting go. His jaw jumped from her calves to her knee, thigh, stomach, chest, then neck. Now that she fully understood what kind of monster Arad could be, she panicked and started swinging punches at his head, but that didn’t seem to do anything.
As she felt his massive jaw clenching tight on her throat, she tried to kick him away, but soon found herself getting lifted up. Arad sat up, lifted her with him, and started swinging her around using just his powerful neck.
Dragons walked on four limbs and used their jaws to attack. But even with that, Balina never expected Arad to be able to fight like a dragon while in a human form.
After a few swings, Arad smacked her on the ground so hard that she could feel her backbone cracking.
“Stop it! Stop!” The moment she cried, Arad let go of her and smiled, “Giving up? I can give you an opening.” He floated away from her using gravity magic, still not healing his wounds.
“No, just heal up and use magic.” She waved her hand, healing herself, “I’m done fighting you like this. How can you still move?”
Arad’s arms and legs healed in the blink of an eye as he smiled, “I suffered worse wounds, and my healing wouldn’t have helped at the time either.”
“I’ll have nightmares about that.” She rubbed her face, “Eris told me you can be a monster when fighting, but I didn’t expect this.” She stood and shook her hands, looking at him with a pale face.
“Do you know why I’m not using my magic?” Arad slowly lifted his hands, “Because the fight won’t last long.”
The moment she realised what he was about to do, she immediately jumped at him, swinging with all of her strength. The foam around them was made from her magic; it was elemental expansion, so it should offer some resistance.
Sadly for Balina, the foam’s magic wasn’t powerful enough.
[Elemental expansion]
Arad didn’t need to use any extra power or anything. All he did was lay his expansion on top of Balina’s one and then suck all of her foam into his stomach. He didn’t even need to contend with her magic, just create a hole for it to fall into his stomach.
Balina was just an inch away from Arad, her fist still didn’t reach him when all of her foam disappeared, and she knew that it was already over. Arad grabbed her by the wrist, making sure to use his claws to prevent her from slipping out again, then caught her in a hug.
Balina jumped and twisted her torso, wrapping her thighs around his neck to try to throw him down, but she was unable to move him an inch. With his gravity magic, Arad now weighed several times more than he should, making him an immovable mountain.
“Your main power is the deadly acid soap. Since that can barely affect me, you’re forced to fight me physically, relying on your soap to become slippery enough to escape my attacks and tackles.” Arad grabbed her from the back and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her tighter toward his neck.
“The fight is over, unless you’ve got another big trick.” He smiled, “If it were anyone else besides me, or Eris, they would’ve melted into nothing in seconds.” Hearing him speak, she sighed and relaxed her legs.
“Fine, fine, it’s my loss.” She shook her head with an annoyed frown, and Arad let her down.
“Did they tell you anything before the fight?” Arad asked, and Balina shrugged. “Gamond said I’ll return with a few missing teeth. Seems she was wrong.”
She then smiled, “Are you okay? I’m sure my soap burned you pretty badly. Water should help wash it away.”
Arad shrugged, “It did hurt a lot, like I was on fire.” Then smacked his chest with his fist, “But my void can erase anything that touches my scales.” He then paused, “I say erase, but it’s more like suck it into my stomach to be either digested or stored.”
Balina approached him and took a closer look at his chest, “I see…” She then licked him, “Clean, spotless. No soap, dust, grime, or even sweat.”
“My void is quite useful. Think of it like a red dragon setting themselves on fire to clean their scales.” Arad patted her on the back, trying to get her to stop licking his chest.
Almost immediately after his tap, she took a step back, “Of course, not while mother is watching. I’ll have plenty later,” She looked at the other wives, “So? Which of them is next?”
“Gamond and Kory are done, Eris fights me quite regularly, and Denki had her turn.”
“So? Zul?”
“No, she is still recovering. I’d rather her not stress her body.” Arad looked at her, “Besides, I’ll win. Or do you think it’s rude of me to think like that?”
Balina thought about it for a second, “It would’ve been rude if it were anyone else. But your power is quite obvious, so the fight isn’t really needed. Zul might have a different opinion, but to me, she shouldn’t have a problem not fighting you.”
“ARAD!” Lola shouted, “Care to explain why she isn’t crying? I expected you to beat her thoroughly for all the troubles she caused me.”
Arad laughed and Balina fumed, “MOTHER! He already gave me enough nightmares for today!”
“Forget about that.” Arad waved his hand, “Who’s next? Or should we move on?”
Claug jumped from the seats and landed in front of them, “Zul and I are left.” She smiled, “But, I’ll skin her alive if she comes to fight. She needs at least another month of rest. She can fight you all she wants afterward.”
She approached Arad with a grin on her face, “Now, it’s my turn to have some fun.”
Unlike the previous fight, Claug and Arad were the same height in human form, both standing at around ten feet tall. With her high heels, Claug looked at least elven feet tall, matching Arad’s staggering height.
The second fight was about to start.
