The dragon's harem - Chapter 1780: A New Horror

Chapter 1780: A New Horror
The door to the room suddenly opened up, and all of the Demon Lords looked at it. The last of them had finally arrived. She wasn’t the strongest, the smartest, nor the most famous. But what she had going for her was a solid track record of power, pride, and an oppressive will.
Lunara, the Demon Lord of Severing, took a single step inside the room, and everyone turned to look at her. Purple skin, four horns, two purple and thick, and two the color of her skin and growing from her forehead, above her crimson eyes.
She was a bit late compared to the others, and they didn’t waste a second to call her out on it. The first to open her mouth was the Demon Lord of Beasts. “Aren’t you quite late? Her Lordship ordered us to gather, so what got you held up?”
Lunara looked at her with a smile. “I missed you too. Been a few years since we saw each other.” She approached the Demon Lord of Beasts and the Demon Lord of Harpies. Those two were her old friends, ones that she had known ever since she became a Demon Lord.
The two Demon Lords smiled. They weren’t exactly friends, as such a concept didn’t exist among the demons, but they were close acquaintances with benefits. It all started with the Demon Lord of Beasts helping Lunara when she became a new Demon Lord, and then Lunara returned the favor by helping her later on in a fight, and even went on to help the Demon Lord of Harpies as well later on, resulting in the three of them forming a closed alliance.
The Demon Lord of Carnage looked at them, then smiled. “Are you three in bed together? All Demon Lords are on somewhat bad terms except you three.” Hearing them, the Demon Lord of Lust shouted from afar. “If so, then can I join you?”
The Demon Lord of Harpies laughed. “No, we aren’t. I scratch their backs, and they scratch mine.” She tapped Lunara on the shoulder. “It is easier and faster to expand our domains if we work together.”
The Demon Lord of Hope stared at the Demon Lord of Carnage. “Unlike someone here who prefer to be alone.”
The Demon Lord of Carnage smiled. “I prefer to fight alone, not be alone.” She looked closer at her. “And, you smell a bit different.” She leaned forward and sniffed her. “Strange.”
Hearing those words, the Demon Lord of Lust, who had fully healed, flew toward them, followed by the Demon Lord of Bursts. The two approached and stood beside Lunara, staring at her. They could feel it; she had changed a lot since they last saw her.
“Her power had increased a bit, but I can’t sense that big of a change. Not that much Demonic Magic.” The Demon Lords of Bursts looked a bit disappointed and turned toward the Demon Lord of Lust. “What do you think?”
The Demon Lord of Lust remained silent for a while, staring at Lunara with a confused face. She then asked. “You aren’t a virgin anymore, but something is off…” She leaned forward and sniffed Lunara’s hips, trying to get a sense of what was going on.
It then hit her like a hammer of lightning. The back of her nose and throat burned, and a flood rushed out from between her legs as she screamed, her senses unable to make sense of what she had just smelled.
Succubi like her could tell the quality, power, and potential of anyone based on their stuff. They are demons that feed off lifeforce, the same soul energy a father and mother would need to pool up for their child’s soul to be born.
As the Demon Lord of Lust moaned and climaxed just from sensing what was in Lunara, her brain raced to make sense of that life force. She had never felt such a thing in ages, and the only time she felt it was when she defied the Mother of All Life three thousand years ago, lost, and got pissed on by her. That one experience had allowed her to become a demon lord, and now she sensed something similar from inside Lunara.
The Demon Lord of Bursts had said that Lunara wasn’t much stronger than before, but she was wrong. The Demon Lord of Lust knew for a fact that Lunara had somehow or somewhat gotten a massive powerup, but not in this form, most likely in her released form.
After twitching on her own for a minute or two, the Demon Lord of Lust stood back up and giggled as everyone stared at her with weird faces.
“Lunara… would you share that guy with me?” She licked her lips, and Lunara stared at her with a tired face. “No.”
“Come on, I’m sure he is too much for you to control.” The Demon Lord of Lust couldn’t tell how strong Arad was, but she was able to understand that he was much, much stronger than Lunara was. She, in fact, suspected that he could probably kill six of the Demon Lords here all at once before falling, and that was a rough estimate.
“I told you no, so no.” Lunara pushed her away, and the Demon of Lust started drooling.
“How about this? I don’t need him. I’ll suck it right out of you instead, and I’ll give you free service as much as you want. Just let me get a lick of that powerful lifeforce.” She licked her lips, “I’m good at my job.”
Hearing the Demon Lord of Lust’s heavy breathing, the Demon Lord of Bursts smiled. “If she is that crazed about him, I too want to check him out. He might give me a decent fight.”
The Demon Lord of Harpies and the Demon Lord of Beasts looked at Lunara and smiled. “You found such a demon and didn’t tell us?” One of them asked, and the other nodded. The two then looked back at the Demon Lord of Hope to ask her about her thoughts, only to be surprised to see her staring at them with a terrified, pale face.
“What… take a closer look at her. I’m sure I’m the one going insane here.” The Demon Lord of Hope pointed at Lunara, and so The Demon Lord of Lust sniffed her again, this time trying to block Arad’s scent and only focus on everything else.
It was then she paled as well, seeing far past Arad’s powerful presence. This time, she wasn’t horny, but fearful, jealous, and baffled. “You! YOU! YOU WERE SLEEPING WITH HER LORDSHIP!”
All the demon lords in the room flew toward them in the blink of an eye and Lunara sighed. “No, that isn’t the case. It is just that…”
It was then that the room’s door opened once more, and Kali took a step inside. The entire room rumbled, and the Demon Lords all instantly jumped back to their spots on instinct. The only one who didn’t move was Lunara, and that confirmed everyone’s suspicion. They couldn’t hear her explanation, but that didn’t matter now.
To them, Lunara is in bed with Kali unless proved otherwise. With that information, and knowing that Lunara had slept with a man so powerful that his scent masked that of Kali, the Demon Lord of Lust concluded that the man in question had to be Kali’s rumored consort.
But then, why is Kali letting someone like Lunara dance on her consort… what if… As the realization slowly dawned on them, Arad took a step into the room. It was as if a wall of darkness washed over them, a heavy, dense, and solid dam of the unknown which had just shattered and flooded over the room.
As the Demon Lord of Lust paled and started sweating buckets, the Demon Lord of Wrath stared at Arad in terror. Where was such a wild monster hiding all those centuries? The Demon Lord of Betrayal, on the other hand, smiled, seeing Arad as an easier target than Kali, but at the same time, she was worried because she could smell a familiar fairy on him. It was the smell of a fairy that humiliated and banished her from the mortal world thousands of years ago.
The Demon Lord of Illusion had never stepped out of the shadows before, but today she walked out. She had no intention of trying to hide from Arad, because that could be perceived as a threat or lack of trust, two things that could lead him to set Kali on her.
Surprisingly to everyone, the illusion of the little girl shifted a bit, and a demonic halfling took its place. Her body was riddled with scars, her long ears severed, her eyes plucked out, and all of her teeth were nowhere to be seen.
The Demon Lord of Bursts looked at Arad with a smug smile and could feel her blood rushing through her veins. This man can give her a decent fight; she had no doubt about it. The hardest thing in this meeting for her was to resist the urge to jump and attack him. “Ah.. I’m about to burst.” She mumbled.
The Demon Lord of Rot glared at Arad, smelling the fungus on him. The rumors were true; she could smell her archnemesis on him. Now she had to reconsider all of her plans.
The Demon Lord of Ash remained calm; her ash clouds never wavered or flinched. She silently watched Arad and Kali, calculating what her next move would be. Her first move was to bring her true body here, since not doing that might be considered an insult.
The Demon Lords of Harpies and Beasts threw sharp glances at Lunara, berating her for not warning them beforehand. What should they do now? They didn’t know and hoped that Lunara could bail them out if something bad happened.
The Demon Lord of Carnage, on the other hand, smelled another thing on Arad, the scent of blood and murder, which got her really excited. Carnage and Murder were extremely compatible forces, and she wanted a lick of whoever left that sent on Arad. The only problem was how.
The Demon Lord of Hope went down to her knees, prostrated herself, and started praying to Kali like she always does. She had once worshipped Asura, Kali’s father, and now she worships her. She didn’t really care who Arad was or what he could do; she trusted Kali had made the best decision.
But then, that trust was put to the test almost instantly.
Because while Arad and Kali walked side by side for a while, he suddenly stopped, turned, and started heading toward the Demon Lord of Hope on his own. She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t lift her head, and couldn’t even pray under his sharp gaze. She felt like a hand was crushing her heart, a fear that she had never felt before.
“Kali, what is she doing here?” Arad asked, and the Demon Lord of Carnage flew right in like a bolt, snatched the Demon Lord of Hope, and jumped away from him.
Carnage stared at Arad and Kali with a face drenched in sweat. “Your Lordship, we served you for thousands of years. You can’t just kill us, and especially one that worshipped you for longer than most of us were Demon Lords.”
Kali looked at her with a smile. “Aren’t you just hopeless?”
Indeed, the Demon Lord of Hope was no longer in the arms of the Demon Lord of Carnage, but in Arad’s hand.
