The dragon's harem - Chapter 1833: Filter Feeder

Chapter 1833: Filter Feeder
As Lexi got on all four, she could feel Arad grab her by the neck and slowly pull her back to him. It was a bit painful at the start. She herself could only fit half inside, but feeling him slowly pushing forward and forcing the rest inside her, it did give her a bit of sharp pain. But for some reason that even she couldn’t understand, that pain didn’t last long, and being grabbed by him, feeling helpless, and getting watched by her friends, weirdly excited her.
It was like scratching an itch, and the pain was somewhat addictive. She knew she would feel it later and be sore, but for now, she felt the irresistible urge to moan and ask him to keep thrusting. The more he moved, the deeper he scratched her insides, and the more he scratched her insides, the bigger her itch got, making her crave more.
“Arad, be a bit gentler with her even if she doesn’t like it.” She then glared at Lexi. “Believe me, I know how you feel, but don’t go overboard. This is your first time, so take it slow and end it quickly.” She then shifted her gaze to one of the maids.
“Go bring us some healing and stamina potions, and a lot of easily digestible food. We’re going to need those.” She then thought about it for a second. “I’ll have some water and a bit of fruit.”
Ganta waved her arm, “Yes! Yes! Me too, a lot of fruits, especially bananas, if you can find some, give me a full tray.”
The maid stared at her for a second. “Really? Bananas?”
“Yep, don’t worry, I’m not sticking them in your butt. Go! Move it!” She waved her hand and then threw herself on the bed beside Arad and Lexi.
“Yo, sacrificial lamb. Tell me, how does it feel?” She tried talking with Lexi, but got no answer. Ganta then smiled. “Seems it fired back at her, stealing the first spot like that.”
Zephyr was on the other side of Arad and Lexi stood, gave Ganta a smile, then shrugged. “Well, you’ll be like her soon enough. I’m going to the bath.” She walked away, and one of the maids followed her.
“Will you need help, Lady Zephyr?” As the maid asked, Zephyr looked back at her. “No, not really. I’m just going to soak a bit in wine.” As the maid froze for a second to process what Zephyr just said, the spirit queen had already filled the bathtub with wine and jumped in.
The night was going to be long, and the maids knew it.
At the same time, as one of Arad’s incarnations enjoyed the night with his wives, another one swam deep into the Deadly Sea, the vast and seemingly endless ocean surrounding the mortal world’s many continents. He was hunting for food.
A massive, black, and radioactive lizard the size of a large mountain swam through the raging waves beneath the stormy sky. It didn’t matter if it was on land, in the sky, or underwater, dragons were an apex predator that cannot be matched.
An All-terrain assault machine, even though the Dead Sea was filled with millions of unknown horrors beyond mortal comprehension, sunken demons, and probably an ancient abomination or two, Arad wasn’t worried at all.
All of those horrors aren’t going to be a problem for him; he was the problem to them; he was the danger here. Like a crocodile in a goldfish aquarium, even the most horrifying beings here were nothing more than a spoonful of food.
His eyes flashed purple, his black scales pulsed with magic, and his body started slowly sinking down like a titanic submarine. Arad didn’t have gills to breathe with, but his draconic lungs could easily process water, albeit not as efficiently as air.
Holding his breath and conserving energy, Arad would be able to last for three hours, but if he breathed the water, albeit it was uncomfortable, he could last for more than a day. Of course, he could make his own air to breathe, but that might leak some radiation into the sea.
As he swam down, many horrors saw him and swam away. A large, near-endless sea of black blood, a titanic sperm whale with kraken tentacles, a ghost ship with thousands of immortal undead sailors, a horrifying island-sized turtle, and even a draconic sea serpent that was almost a thousand kilometers long, they all ran away the moment they sensed Arad around.
All of those monsters had attacked Arad when he first came, and they paid dearly for it. The near-endless sea of black blood simply started dying the moment it approached Arad and was hit with his radiation, so it didn’t even stand a chance.
The titanic sperm whale had its tentacles ripped off and eaten by Arad. It was only spared because it surrendered almost immediately.
The ghost ship of immortal undeads avoided Arad like the plague as he was ripped those ghosts away from the ship and turned them into his void creatures.
The island-sized turtle attacked Arad and had her shell peeled off. Arad had two reasons to spare her life: the first was that she tasted bad, and the second was that she had eggs to raise.
The one who had it the worst was the draconic sea serpent. Even though it was one of the strongest creatures around, Arad humiliated him several times. Each time the serpent attacked Arad, Arad would grab him, tie his body like a shoelace, and then eat the part left out. That way, the serpent would remain alive and wouldn’t bleed to death.
The serpent attacked Arad a total of four time before giving up, and each time ended with a part of his body eaten.
So, what did Arad hunt in the Dead Sea for food? Well, first, he liked whale meat. But he didn’t hunt too many of them. Even though whales had a lot of food and chances to thrive, they were the main food source of large monsters like the Bloops and Sea Serpents.
So, Arad focused on hunting the ones right below him in the food chain, the ones who ruled the sea before he arrived: Shrimps.
The deadliest predator in the Dead Sea before Arad arrived was shrimps, specifically, a type of prawn that developed a strange survival method due to the harsh environment. Each prawn was mundane, the size of a regular prawn, maybe even a bit smaller, they had no power, and ate basically the same things. Algae, plankton, small worms, snails, and decaying organic waste.
Now, what made those prawns dangerous is that they lived in schools of billions and billions of them. They were to the marine life the same as locusts are to vegetation on land. They eat everything in their path and leave only death.
Arad had seen an ancient kraken capable of killing wyrms get eaten in seconds by the endless Prawn Swarm. There was nothing in the Dead Sea that could survive them, except for Arad himself. So, what did Arad do? Did he fight the swarm? Did he try to catch them all with an elemental expansion? Or did he use some exotic magic?
No, he just opened his mouth and swam through the swarm, filter feeding like a baleen whale. Arad would suck the water and prawns into his stomach, filter the prawns from the salty water, then throw the water out.
The prawns did try eating him at first, but after several failed attempts, they too gave up and accepted his existence as a tax on their lives. There was nothing they could do about it. To Arad himself, this was extremely relaxing; whenever he needed to eat, he came here, snatched a whale or two, maybe a giant squid, and then floated around the prawn swarm to fill his belly.
But Arad didn’t just eat for free. He observed the prawns for a long while and noticed that their main source of food was a bunch of plankton, small algae, and bug-like marine life thriving around active volcanic vents at the bottom of the sea. So, to make it up for the prawns, each time Arad comes here, he always goes with the swarm to those vents and agitates them, giving the plankton more food, and thus creating more food for the prawns.
This was the reason Arad found feeding here relaxing. He didn’t need to do much, and thus could take this time to rest his mind. Controlling four incarnations and working as emperor was too much even for him.
