The dragon's harem - Chapter 1846: Existence Is a Curse

Chapter 1846: Existence Is a Curse
As the snake gulped and the infinity symbol spun, Susanoo’s body burned with unrelenting divine magic. Sparks of golden divine light, holy flames, and roaring mist of pure brilliance. As the divine magic got infused into Susanoo’s body, its power got mixed with the infinite regeneration, and allowed him to heal. The divine magic cured the radiation sickness, and the infinite regeneration dealt with the wounds, causing Susanoo to get back to full health in the blink of an eye.
Susanoo smiled and jumped at Arad with a clenched fist. Arad returned the smile as he deflected Susanoo’s punch, smacked him in the face, and then blocked a downward slash. The two didn’t move like humans, but like wild monsters.
At one time, Arad would be standing on his legs and punching with his hands, in the next, he would be standing on his hands to kick Susanoo’s arm away, and in the next, the two of them would be fighting underground, causing massive earthquakes.
“So that was four? Supreme sword skills, infinite health, stamina, and now divine magic.” Arad kicked Susanoo into the sky and then jumped after him with a grin. He then grabbed him by the face and threw him back to the ground. “If you think I can’t put you down just because of those, then you’re going to cry.”
Lunara who watched from afar growled. “Just, what is that thing?”
Shuten looked both scared and worried, “Arad Orion… to keep up with father like this.” She then threw a sharp glare at Amaterasu. “Who is that dragon?”
“Look!” Ibaraki shouted as she pointed at Susanoo, who seemed to be struggling to stand, and even his wounds weren’t healing as fast as they should be for someone with infinite divine magic.
“Impossible! What did he do?” Shuten cried, and Amaterasu smiled. “He is Kali’s husband, that should explain a bit.”
As they all stared closely at Arad, they could finally see faint sparks crackling around his fists. “Destruction! Kali’s divine magic.”
Indeed, while using divine magic to heal would work in most situations, Kali’s destruction is something special. It deals true damage that cannot be easily healed, like a broken bow; no matter how much you glue it, it would still remain cracked and less durable.
Gulp!
Susanoo’s body flashed blue, and a torrent of mana burned out of his body like a raging inferno. In the blink of an eye, thousands of sparks flashed, and the entire area was engulfed in radiant flames.
Arad landed outside the blast, half charred, and looked at Susanoo, who was just emerging.
“That was the infinite mana, right?” He smiled. “But this feels strange. I’m not sensing any storm divine magic in you. Even that storm I saw at the cave in the start, it was just rampaging divine magic taking a form similar to wind.”
Arad slowly lifted his hands.
“Considering that Amaterasu is the goddess of the sun, and that Tsukuyomi was the god of the moon, I assume that you two are a sort of astral god as well.” His body burned with gravity magic.
“That would explain this, right?”
Susanoo smiled as the entire sky turned red, and Shuten almost shat herself when she looked up. Thousands of island-sized meteors were just breaching the atmosphere, burning like stars as they aimed at Arad.
Several thousand one-kilometer-wide meteors rained from the sky, a spell born from Susanoo’s portfolio and his now infinite mana and divine magic.
[Meteor Rain]
Arad took a deep breath, and spread his legs apart, taking a sumo stance as he looked at the sky, and opened his arms. “Then bring it on! God of Galactic Storms!”
As Arad threw both fists at the sky, he unleashed a massive wave of gravity magic that hit the meteors and held them in place. He could feel all of their weight and Susanoo’s divine authority crushing his back.
This was probably just a fraction of Susanoo’s power at his prime, but still, it was too much for Arad to directly resist. That is why he had to be smart about it, he had to direct the force of those meteors away, and he had just the trick.
[Elemental Expansion: Palace of Stars]
Arad’s voice exploded out of his body and rushed in every direction like an unstoppable tide. Darkness shrouded the world, and the glowing meteors faded as they were outshone by tens of thousands of bright stars.
Amaterasu smiled as she looked up. “How beautiful, like gems. All of those [Ho-white Nova]s.”
Arad’s stomach digested the meteors, and the [Ho-white Nova]s burned anything that was left. In the blink of an eye, Arad’s fist had already kissed Susanoo’s face and shattered his body to pieces. Then his stomach digested those pieces as he tried to consume him and end the fight quickly.
Shuten and Ibaraki couldn’t believe their eyes, and even Lunara was baffled and scared. She had just watched Arad stop a god’s divine attack and punch him in the face right after. She knew Arad was powerful; she knew he could kill many gods, but she had never once expected to see him toying with a divine being like this.
What was even more terrifying was that this was just one of his incarnations, and he hadn’t even shifted back to his draconic form yet.
Gulp!
Arad could just hear the snake gulp, and in the next second, Susanoo was standing right there in front of him, looking unscathed. The dead god smiled, and Arad lifted a fist. “Good, you aren’t done yet.”
Both of them disappeared. At this point, only Amaterasu could see what was going on, and things weren’t looking good for Arad. Susanoo had unlocked another of the snake abilities, and had now become unchained by time.
Now, each time Arad destroyed Susanoo, the dead god would just rewind time on himself to heal. And when attacking Arad, he has started infusing his sword and fists with time magic to age Arad or slow him down.
And then, it happened. Susanoo finally landed another attack on Arad, stabbing him through the chest with the Blade of Solace. That sword wasn’t mundane, and its infinitely sharp edge slashed through space and reality itself. Such a wound could be fatal even to…
“This wound is no longer in this universe.” Arad spoke at the last moment before Susanoo could cleave him in half, and the universe seemed to freeze.
[Elemental Expansion: Curse of Existence] Doma’s ghostly figure flashed behind Arad’s back, and his eyes burned with pink light as the curse pulled him out of the fabric of time, space, causality, and existence.
Arad moved, phasing right through the blade, and stood behind Susanoo, glaring down at him. “Existing itself is a curse, just like how life only leads to death, existing only leads to suffering. With this power, I can step out of it, and you cannot reach me.”
“Ho…the primal space from before the universe was created. I haven’t been here in a while.” Amaterasu spoke, and Arad’s eyes opened wide as he saw her standing with him in Doma’s expansion.
He wanted to scream and ask her how she managed to get here, but he didn’t have much time left. He can now maintain Doma’s expansion for several minutes, but it still drains his energy a lot, so it’s best to keep its usage short.
Arad clenched his fist, and punched a hole through Susanoo’s chest.
“Existence shall resume.”
Susanoo’s body crumbled to pieces, and Arad stood unscathed over it.
