The dragon's harem - Chapter 1948: The Universe of Nightmares

Chapter 1948: The Universe of Nightmares
Unlike anything that Arad had experienced before, he was now like a tiny bug stuck in the middle of an elephant fight. The moment he felt the three’s magic expanding rapidly, he knew that he would be dead if he didn’t flee immediately and get out of their range.
Death herself, had great power as well, but she didn’t actively participate in the clash, because she had another important matter. It was to seal the clash away and make sure no one dies because of it.
Arad wasn’t the only one who got caught in the disaster, but many of his wives did, and she had to save them. One by one, Death had managed to snatch and suck everyone into her shadow in the blink of an eye, beating the speed of the clashing three powerhouses. She was Death after all, and she had the innate power to reach every living being that fell under her will instantly.
This time, death wasn’t catching up to people to harvest their souls, but to make sure no soul is being harvested before it ripens.
But there was a single exception to her power, and a regretful one at that. If the universe is to die, Death would be the last one to die, right after Amaterasu. She’ll snatch Amaterasu’s soul, then take her own. Only AO would remain, since he created Death, and it has no dominion over him.
Arad couldn’t be saved from the disaster by Death, since she couldn’t reach him. But he wasn’t the only one stuck in the clash. Poppy was there as well, since Death decided to leave her to die, but Cain had sucked her into his expansion almost immediately.
When the three expansions clashed, the harrowing forces merged, and what Arad had witnessed was the birth of a whole new universe. Amaterasu’s expansion was the clearest of them all, representing the birth of worlds and stars, a massive, contentious bang of cosmic proportions that mimics the birth of the universe.
What came next was Cain’s expansion, which worked on a fundamentally different basis. Unlike all others, Cain didn’t learn elemental expansions; he created them. He was the inventor, and as it seems, he had achieved a whole new level above an elemental expansion, and it was called a world expansion.
The world twisted around Arad and Poppy, rapidly taking shape into solid ground, ancient trees, titanic mountains, a raging sea, and an unrelenting storm. The two fell and hit the water, only to be immediately swarmed by titanic abominations of harrowing proportions. This gave Arad flashbacks of his time in Entropy’s world and her black sea, but this time, he still had his power.
A titanic shark that was tens of meters long rushed at him, only to get torn in half and blasted away. But that only drew a swarm of smaller, flesh-eating sardines, then humanoid fish people who held sharp spears. But what bothered Arad more was how radioactive and hot the environment was; it was boiling like they were inside a pot, and the water itself was highly salty and acidic.
Of course, that was nothing to him. He’ll stay alive, for now. So as he tore his way through the swarm of monsters, he could hear a cry in the distance. Poppy was there, struggling against the endless swarms and harsh environment. Unlike him, she had no resistance against radiation, and her cells were rapidly dying, causing her to lose a lot of blood.
Poppy struggled to breathe, swam to the surface, only to get bitten by some abomination and dragged down before she could draw a single breath. She’ll glare down at the horror and slash him with a blood blade, but that blood would instantly die due to the radioactive water, and she couldn’t control it anymore.
The fish ate at her flesh, the large beasts dragged her to the bottom, and she was already drowning. But what scared her more was that she could sense that the most terrifying thing was at the bottom of this sea, the monster they all should be afraid of. Cain’s mad soul took form in this nightmarish world of his.
And then, she could hear it. A loud, echoing heartbeat, followed by deep rumbles of pushing lightning and energy. She glared at the endless darkness of the sea, and saw it, a single blue flash of light.
^The fuck is that?^ She tried to swim away as fast as she could while ignoring all of the monsters attacking her. If she is struggling against those sardines, she wouldn’t have a chance against whatever that thing would be.
But she was just too slow. Right in front of her eyes, a massive jaw came from the back and swallowed her whole. It was tens of meters wide, and whatever creature got it, they were absolutely titanic.
^I’m dead!^ She was about to give up, when she heard a voice inside her head.
’You cannot die yet. For now, stay in my mouth until I get rid of those monsters’ That was Arad’s voice reaching her mind directly, and it was only then that she could calm for a second, smell her surroundings, and confirm that she was indeed inside Arad’s massive draconic maw.
“Arad?! Why save me?” She cried, and he quickly replied.
’You got a lot of questions to answer, so I’ll keep you alive.’ He then went silent for a second, and she could hear the chaos of the battle inside. Flesh getting torn, water boiling, and the pained growls of whatever Arad was ripping apart.
She grabbed onto one of his teeth and braced herself for the whole five minutes he spent fighting, and it was only then that he spoke to her again.
’It’s somewhat saved outside, the monsters are dead, but the death curse is too powerful. Bite into my tongue and drink my blood, I’ll take you under me and then be able to provide some protection through my own blood.’
Hearing him, she frowned. “Is that some trick to enslave me? I know that once I drink your blood, I’ll be fully under your control.”
’We can do it the easy way, or the hard way. The choice is yours.’
She smiled. “Try me, let’s see what your hard way is.” As she crossed her arms, an incarnation of Arad was already standing behind her. She turned with a scared face, and he grabbed her by the head.
She cried. “Let me go! I’m a kid! Let me go! Don’t touch me!”
Arad stared at her for a second, grabbed her by the face, and snapped her jaw open. She screamed in pain, but he kept staring at her with a cold face. He lifted his hand, bit two of his finger tips off to allow blood to flow, and then shoved them down her throat.
“You seem to misunderstand something; you’re not a guest, but a prisoner. You already don’t have a say in anything.” It didn’t matter how much she struggled; Arad pumped her stomach full of blood, and soon, she was forced to digest it and become one of his spawns. The first ever pricolici spawn he ever got.
He finally dropped her down, and she started coughing, tried to get herself to puke that blood out, but all of her attempts failed. They were just meaningless struggles, and she knew it.
“It seems that that pale guy created a whole small universe from his own mind. Amaterasu and Yog are trying to destroy it. Amaterasu brought a massive explosion, and there is a strange black gate in the sky spewing dark clouds of whatever the hell Yog is cooking.” Arad smiled as he pointed down. “But, I sense a strange bastard at the depth of the sea, so we’re going to kill that thing ourselves.”
