The Empyreal Gem Master - Chapter 242 - 242: Luminarch Caches of the Cosmos! I

The White Ascender of the Infinite Cosmic Tower, Arthur.
The one who had left behind a Legacy in this region, a legacy intertwined with the Primordial Cosmic Tao- a legacy that drew in multiple Universal and Universal Realm entities and locked them here.
His white beard and silver-white hair shimmered with regal magnificence as far below, the Light Golem, Aliana, trembled as she looked up at him and spoke, her voice shaking with reverence.
“Master… I thought everything about your Weavings was gone…”
She hadn’t seen the one she called Master for ages. She had believed the lucidity she operated under was merely a lingering system, a residual authority left behind by him.
But…
The White Ascender looked at his golem with a soft, almost sorrowful smile. He lifted his hand and waved gently, his gesture warm and apologetic.
“A part of me left behind a remnant capable of powering the Crucibles of my Legacy for a million years, if need be. But since I’ve now found a viable candidate to inherit everything, I no longer need to hold on to that residual authority. I’ve used it to appear here, one last time.”
…!
His will rang clear.
Aliana bowed deeply, her body trembling with understanding as her expression was filled with both longing and excitement.
Finally.
Her Master would achieve what he sought!
…!
The old man then slowly turned toward Alexander.
And the terrifying force that had frozen everything in place entirely faded.
Alexander’s authority simmered down, calm once more as he gazed at the legendary figure before him. His core feature, the very essence of the Peacemaker, began to analyze and pull information from the moment as is Enneagram spun.
Arthur met his eyes and offered a nod, voice ancient and warm.
“Is it alright if I take you somewhere else, young friend?”
The words echoed with wisdom as Alexander nodded lightly.
And the world around them began to shift and distort as Space-Time flickered.
The Colosseum vanished.
In the next instant, he found himself standing inside a library.
A library.
Towering rows of books without titles stretched endlessly in every direction. Alexander stood at the convergence point, where countless aisles met beneath a domed ceiling of starlight.
At the center of this grand, otherworldly archive stood a single throne, wet gold in hue, ancient and luminous. Orbiting around it were vibrant globes of white-gold brilliance, pulsing softly like sentient stars.
Arthur stood nearby, his gaze fixed upon the throne and the glowing orbs. His voice echoed gently through the air.
“I can see it in your eyes, despite what Aliana may have told you, despite what you saw from the Cosmos on my chest, the power I once wielded, this legacy… you don’t look at it with awe.”
Arthur chuckled softly, turning to Alexander with eyes that gleamed with approval.
“And I take no offense. On the contrary—it tells me you’re truly capable of becoming my inheritor.”
His words shimmered with pride while layered with timeless wisdom.
He walked toward one of the countless bookcases, pulled out a tome, and flipped it open as he continued.
“What you see circling that white-gold throne are Luminarch Caches of the Cosmos. Normally, you’d only find them much higher up the Infinite Cosmic Tower. They’re Chronos-Infused Cosmic Treasures designed to allow someone to live an entire lifetime inside a Luminarch Primordial Cosmos. And once that life ends, you’ll return with 10% of the power you held at the time of death, imprinted into Reality itself.”
…!
Terrifying treasures. Ones not meant for this level of the tower, ones that could rewrite lifetimes!
Arthur’s voice was steady as he flipped to a page that depicted the very globes surrounding the throne.
“I managed to obtain nine of them during my ascent. This glorious prison of a Tower…it’s something we come to love and loathe at once. Though its mysteries remain unsolved, I cannot complain when it comes to the terrifying treasures it has offered me.”
His voice grew darker and bitter with memory.
“My path was glorious. I rapidly formed my Universal Filaments, and in time, even formed my own Cosmos, all while climbing the tower. But my journey was cut short… by an enemy.”
He looked toward Alexander, eyes burning with anger and loss now.
“That’s the favor I ask of you. If you wish to claim these nine Luminarch Caches and the Legacy seated in that throne, all I need from you is this- to kill one particularly troublesome entity…a Cosmic Filament Entity.”
WAA!
Not just a Cosmic Entity.
A Cosmic Filament Entity.
Arthur’s expression darkened, hatred flaring in his gaze as he spoke.
“He gained his power by killing me and stealing the Nebulith Archives of Ruination. I don’t know what he’s become since, but even in death, I cannot let go of this hatred. My Legacy includes a complete Primordial Cosmic Gem Recipe embedded within that throne. And the Luminarch Caches, if you use even one, and live long enough in that lifetime to reach the Cosmic Realm, you will return with 10% of that power. Do this eight more times… and the true Cosmic Realm will be yours. When your power reaches that height and above it, all I ask…is vengeance. Revenge against the one who ended my ascension short, the fucking rat, Niharyx. The Crimson Ruinborn. The Unweaver!”
HUUUM!
The Crimson Ruinborn.
The Unweaver.
Niharyx.
The name etched itself into Alexander’s mind as the old man actually cursed this being.
He stood in silence, gazing at the nine Luminarch Caches circling the white-gold throne embedded with ten dazzling Cosmic Gems that pulsed with an otherworldly glow.
It was a powerful gift offered for the price of one death.
He stepped forward, toward the throne and its encircling treasures.
His voice was calm, resolute.
“Tell me more about this Unweaver. If I’m to kill him, I should at least know the enemy.”
WAA!
His response was simple. Steady.
Arthur’s smile widened as his old body shook with laughter, his hand waving through the air to summon waves of illusory screens—each one depicting the terrifying form of a being whose name could likely shake the higher heights of the Infinite Cosmic Tower!
