The First Legendary Beast Master - Chapter 1589 One Big Pull

Chapter 1589 One Big Pull
Another of the Demons fell, and the group began to notice that something was definitely off with the power level and rewards of this dungeon.
That was the second time that everyone had gotten the Boss Completion loot notice, and they were on the first pull of the challenge. Not even Swag, who was infamous as the Clan’s biggest idiot, was willing to write that off as a coincidence.
Especially not when he was fighting the demons in close combat.
They were definitely boss monster level opponents, and only the fact that the Golems had [Warbeast] cast on them to give them Epic Grade physiques was keeping them from simply overrunning the group.
Leo slapped a Demon with one massive flipper, and reactivated [Bulwark]. These Demons were tough, for sure.
It was a good thing he came along. He didn’t have any idea that dungeons were such an intense experience, and this would be a great story for his classmates. He had even received a new tricorn hat already. So they had to believe him.
“Why are there ten dungeon bosses in one pull?” Someone called from Karl’s left.
“I blame Cara. Her taunt pulled more than one group.”
“I got that part. But why are they dungeon bosses?”
Cara laughed as she bombarded her target with [Chaos Vortex], locking it in position with the [Time Lock] secondary effect of the spell.
“That’s because Karl is a World Boss, so it made them on his level. Now we get all the loot.”
Her laughter was infectious, and even the Druids, who were struggling not to get crushed by the mobs, began to laugh along with the rest of the group.
“So, we get to fight a whole dungeon full of low ascended bosses?
Just nothing but bosses and super bosses?
What sort of dungeon is that? And are we going to get boss loot for every mob of every pull?” Min asked, already calculating the windfall she was going to get.
It didn’t matter if she could use the items, she would make a fortune at the warehouse trading in what she didn’t need.
Then, there was the chance that one of the others would also get something that she needed, but they didn’t, and they could trade. It was quite common for groups to trade or assign boss loot.
That might not be practical when you were going to fight a hundred of them in a day, but they could certainly trade some items at the end of the day.
“Hey Opal, Remi, I think it’s time that we made this place a bit more spicy, don’t you think?”
Remi giggled from her perch around her bodyguard’s neck.
{On it boss.}
Hawk acted preemptively, and cast [Apocalypse], filling the area with flaming tornados and burning cinders before Remi could do the same with water magic.
Then, he added meteors for effect.
Remi laughed at Hawk’s naive outlook. They were on the same team, filling the area with fire didn’t stop her from doing the same with ice. It just reduced visibility when she did.
Then, she added a [Naga Swamp] that Opal buffed with [Illusionary Domain], [Reality Warp] and [Toxic Fog], before she added dozens of Naga Warriors to it. She wanted to go bigger, but then they would overlap onto other groups, and start pulling in more demons before she was ready for them.
Leo cheered and gave all the new illusionary fighters [Stone Form] and [Invincible Defence] on top of the [Eternal Lightning] Barrier that automatically spread.
These demons weren’t playing around. Even with Karl and Dana both using [Tribulation Chains] on them, and Opal’s toxic fog damaging their minds, they were still breaking free to fight as hard as ever.

That was half the group in three minutes. That didn’t seem like it was too long to Leo.
But math wasn’t his strong point, as there were enough other groups in the dungeon that they would be here most of the day, even without counting the boss fights.
“We’re down to one. Tian, how about you go get us some more monsters?” Karl called.
{No problem! I know just how.}
Tian ran past the ongoing fight to the closest group of Demons, and began to play his zither, which made them turn to look at him. Then he stood on his hind legs, spread his front paws and stuck out his tongue as he activated [Vicious
Mockery].
Then, he turned, wiggled his butt at them and ran away.
The demons roared and chased, while Dana tried to calm herself enough to effectively fight.
Tian was catching on to the finer points of that skill far too quickly.
This time there were only three more Demons, a much more manageable number, and they were all picked up by Karl and his clones.
Without extra bosses to fight, the damage could be concentrated, and nobody needed to worry much about one escaping and attacking the rear ranks.
Not that it would be a catastrophe with Dana in place and [Auto Parry]. But it was not time effective to force everyone but the front line to focus on one of ten opponents in the first pull.

Tian didn’t need a prompt this time, and he went to grab another group.
This time, he didn’t use [Vicious Mockery], he just used [Earth Manipulation] and threw rocks at them from the pathway.
That pulled them just as effectively.
{Brother Hawk can get the next ones, they’re far.} He called when the new
batch joined the fight.
[Got it. I will make sure that we don’t run out.]
He had done this with Rae before, and it was so much fun pulling just the right number of enemies.
{Get more now. They’re not big enough if we just take three at a time. Half my summons can’t even get to the front to fight properly.}
Rae’s complaint made Hawk laugh, but he complied and immediately hit
another group with a [Meteor], pulling them into the fight.
“You are all psychopaths. One boss fight at a time. It’s not a speed running
competition.” Min joked.
{But it might be. How do we know if we don’t try to set the record?}
