The First Legendary Beast Master - Chapter 1618 Targeted Abilities

Chapter 1618 Targeted Abilities
Karl came over with drinks for everyone, including a juice for Tessa.
“If you want me to give it a go, I can do it. The change is worded like this.” [Breath of the World] Artifact Grade Crafting Skill. When used during crafting, imbues items with the power of the World Dragon, increasing quality by one grade. When used on magical items or resources, improves quality by one grade.
{Hidden Effect} When used by a World Dragon or World Dragon Avatar, can be used to create sentient items, imbued with System Functionality. If used on a non-sentient or nascent magical beast, this skill will trigger immediate evolution into a sentient form one Rank in potential higher than its base.
Karl wrote out the System description, and Tessa read it carefully twice over before nodding.
“I don’t see any harm in it. It’s specifically designed for use on nascent beings, so eggs or pregnant women. The only question is if it will count as a Magical Beast.”
Karl nodded. “It should. The system usually counts Dragonkin as magical beasts for the purpose of casting buffs. So, you want me to give it a go?”
“What are the odds of them evolving into something that is in an egg? Because I’m not sure about that outcome, even if it saves on the long pregnancy part.”
Cara laughed, but she was blocking her thoughts from Karl, which was ‘totally not suspicious at all. He stared at her for a second, trying to guess what she had foreseen that would make her laugh like that.
But she wasn’t going to explain.
“Alright, here we go. The single target version.”
{Breath Of The World Activated} Multiple Valid Targets Found

“Congratulations.” Karl informed Tessa, who was silently staring at the notification in her System Interface.
“Does anyone know what a Disciple of War is?” Thor asked, curious what he was getting for children.
“If my guess is right, it’s going to be an Immortal born Red Dragon. A more powerful version of the War God’s favoured children.” Karl suggested.
Thor smiled in satisfaction. Five new additions to the herd, with four behemoths and an Immortal Dragon? That was pretty good.
“I think that I need to go sit down for a bit. Thor, led me a hand.” Tessa informed them.
“Right, there might be side effects. Let us know if you need Lotus and Tian.”
Tessa nodded, then waved her hand for Karl to go away.
“Go, play with the others. I will be fine, just a bit worn out from all the exertion and the shock.”
Thor and Tessa left for the main house, while the celebration continued outside, and progressively stronger liquor was brought out. Someone had been distilling vodka from the Totem Rank Potato crops that they had been making, and it packed a rather surprising punch.
With his constitution, not much would get Karl drunk, but that stuff could.
Two hours later, Lotus was gently snoring as she cuddled Tian, and Ophelia carried them both back to the house, so they didn’t get sore from sleeping on the grass.
But the majority of the party was still happily dancing and singing late into the night, long after Nachtia had fallen asleep in a hammock, surrounded by flowers and empty shot glasses.
Karl and Dana made it as far as their bedroom in the Guild House, but by the time that Karl woke up the next morning, the sun was already high in the sky, and the daily business of the Tiny World was off to an admittedly sluggish start. Only about half of the residents were even mobile when Karl got up, and the quiet told him that neither Cara nor Lotus were among the early risers.
If either of them were up, it would be much louder in the Tiny World. Now that he was up, Karl began making plans for the best way to get through all the eggs in the Tiny World. Then, he realized that he didn’t have to. They were not out in the wild, they were in a separate space that he had full control
over.
All that he had to do was imbue the spell into the Tiny World’s innate magic, and then he could activate it on anything within the space.
Even the plants could be upgraded into higher grade versions, though that might be inadvisable, as a higher grade wasn’t always the same plant with the same properties, and it could leave them short on needed materials for potions
and dinner.
Being short on the best ingredients for cake would certainly cause a riot.
So, Karl moved to the spare room, the entrance to the Library area, and sat down on one of the comfortable cushions to begin his work of changing the Tiny World.
It needed some changes anyhow, including an improvement in the defensive structure and the mana levels inside.
Then, with [Breath of the World] added, and a tweak of the Fundamental Rules, it would be as good as he could make it for the moment. And two of his three
Class Skills were going to be essential to the process.
[All Things Are Pets] allows the creation of a [Pet Space] separate space, including a suitable Kennel and Food Supply for any species of bonded creature, living or undead. Increases growth rate and prevents illness.
[World Crafting] enhances a {World} or {Domain} type separate space with the Fundamental Rules of [Creation] and [Life].
He didn’t need to actually make the living spaces with [All Things Are Pets], but adding the spell to the [Tiny World] would make it even more optimally adjusted to the residents, with a bonus to their growth rates, and it would give
a bonus to the growth of food crops.
For a space that was more of a vacation home than a storage space, both were necessary adjustments.
As an added bonus, it would allow them to move some crafting into this space, and have the experts gain some passive bonuses from [Breath Of the World].
Not as good as if Karl were casting it directly, but having it imbued onto the Tiny World would make it more likely for them to create high-grade items.
