The laser struck the target and pierced it cleanly. As if this wasn’t bad enough, the Multiple Strike Metac and Compound Damage Metac also took effect to turn that single attack into six attacks that were more deadly than the last.

Next, the Bleed Metac made sure that none of the six would heal anytime soon, and the Weakness Metac siphoned the black-robed swordsman’s strength.

Finally, the Sting Metac converted all of the damage into additional mental damage. This caused immense pain that bypassed all of his defenses and struck his mind. So he cried out in pain like a mortal experiencing a paper cut.

He had already been weakened by the first attack that had grazed him earlier. So there was no way he could handle this attack. His body began to disintegrate immediately.

Not only did his body disintegrate, but his soul wasn’t spared either. However, the Splitting Edge Metac took things further and also cut his mental world. The red lightning surged into his mental world like a river and carved it into pieces as it flowed.

The surging lightning didn’t restrict itself to flowing like a river, though. It crackled and popped as it spread outwards to submerge the entire mental world and break it apart from within.

Then it got to work annihilating the pieces of the mental world so that not even fragments of the mental world would escape the destruction. It can be said that the red lightning was thorough with its work.

Because of the Splitting Edge Metac, everything about him was cut and destroyed. It is why an attack that should only inflict physical damage also dealt spiritual and mental damage that was strong enough to eradicate his soul and mental world.

After the red lightning was done with the black-robed swordsman, all that was left was a clump of white ashes. As the ashes fell from the air, the wind blew them away.

The Strength Path has a lot of weaknesses, but it is still the best of the two. This is because it has more Branch Metacs.

What’s more is that most of the Branch Metacs of the Strength Path can increase his power directly because they are useful in a fight, and the Branch Metacs all reach rank 5. On the other hand, the Dual Cultivation is mostly useful for making the best out of sex.

Even if he is attached to the Reversal Metac, he can’t let his favor of the Reversal Metac make him choose a pathway that has no potential and is dying over a pathway that is still alive and thriving.

As for which is better between the Space Tear Metac and the Splitting Edge Metac, or between the Space Pathway and the Killing Pathway, the answer is much clearer.
