Chapter 356: Possible Solution.

The world guardian finally couldn’t hold on and said, “What is this solution you speak of?”

So he said, “As I said earlier, there is more than one world king in my world. These world kings are split into five groups. These five groups are competing for who will get to control your world.”

“This competition between the five groups of world kings is why that world king didn’t destroy your world immediately and gave you an opportunity to fight for your freedom. But as I said, that promise is only an illusion. In truth, your resistance will only give the four groups an opportunity to fight for control of your world.”

“That is why I am here. It is why the other invaders are here. We are all fighting for control of this world. We fight each other, and we fight you, the world guardians, for the right to lay claim to this world.”

The world guardian couldn’t take bad news anymore, so he interrupted him with a shout, saying, “I’ve heard enough of that. Just go ahead with the solution.”

Right now, he already believes most of what the seer has said. At least, he believes that there are at least five world kings invading his world, as that would explain why there are five factions fighting for his world.

But if there are five world kings and they’ve only seen one, that means that there are four other world kings who could still lay claim to his world even if the first world king fulfills his promise to let them go.

These are the things that he understood filled the world guardian with despair. What he wanted to hear now was some good news, not more bad news.

He wanted to see the light at the end of the tunnel, not hear more about how his resistance is just a tool for a competition to determine who would control his world. This was why he was so agitated.

The seer sensed his agitation and curled his lips as he said, “The solution is to help me win this competition. If you do that, you will fall under the control of my faction, and I promise to take care of you to the best of my abilities.”

He didn’t say what he wanted explicitly, but the world guardian still understood. So the bird person laughed and said, “At the end of the day, you still want me to surrender. You want me to become a traitor of my world.”

“I saw this coming, but I still hoped for something different. I don’t know why I was so hopeful.”

Then the eyes of the bird man became determined as he said, “You’re not a world king, but you’re still a world guardian. That counts as something valuable to a world. If I kill you, your world should feel the loss.”

He was threatening to kill the seer, but his words only made the seer laugh. His laughter was one of mockery, not of anger like that of the world guardian.

After laughing, he said to the world guardian, “It is true that my death would be a loss, but it is not as much of a loss as you would think. This is because we have too many world guardians in my world.”

Then he asked, saying, “How many world guardians do you have in your world?”

Without waiting for an answer, he said, “Just nine, right? In my world, we have over nine hundred world guardians. So my loss won’t mean much compared to your loss.”

“I know that you don’t believe me. You don’t think that a world can have so many world guardians. But ask yourself this question. Why are we fighting for control of your world? What would happen to my world after we gain control of your world?”

The eyes of the bird person opened wide in shock when he heard these questions. When he thought of them, only one answer came to mind.

But he didn’t want to believe it. So he said, “Don’t tell me that you strengthen your world and gain more world guardians by assimilating other worlds.”

The seer said in reply, “Of course we do. Your world isn’t the first we will be invading, and it won’t be the last. We are very good at invading worlds and conquering them. Each world we conquer makes us stronger.”

What he said was mostly the truth. The more worlds that the Blessed Heaven World conquers, the stronger it becomes. This is why one divine being can defeat a world king in his home turf.

But there was one big glaring lie, and that is that no one is trying to gain control of this world to use it to create more world guardians. In fact, the divine beings have banned the creation of more rank 5 beings.

Anyone who wants to become a divine being must find the fragment of a world heart on their own. As for the world heart of this small world, it would be hollowed out and taken by a divine being.

Aside from this lie, the other things he said are the truth. If he dies, no one will miss his absence. Not his world or the sect that sent him here would miss him.
