He felt that it was not worth it to waste a year of his life on a single person when he could wait three months and have access to 14 other rank 5 beings, some world guardians, and 400 rank 4 cultivators.

In fact, he scoffed at the thought of hunting one rank 5 cultivator for a year and said, ’Even if I go to a city and kill people randomly, it will be more cost-effective than going on these kinds of hunting missions.’

He had only just said that in jest to show how ridiculous it would be to go on hunting trips. But the more he thought about attacking a city, the more palatable the option seemed to be.

He scratched his chin and said, ’Eating rank 3 and rank 4 cultivators isn’t as efficient as eating a single rank 5 being, but there are plenty of rank 3 and rank 4 cultivators.’

’There might not be a single rank 5 cultivator in a city, but there are usually a hundred rank 4 cultivators and at least a thousand rank 3 cultivators. I can use their quantity to make up for their lack of quality.’

’Most importantly, attacking a city is something I can do now. I won’t need to wait three months like the option to hunt at the Heavenly Battlefield. Most importantly, I won’t have to come before divine beings and risk being caught by them.’

A rank 5 cultivator is worth a hundred times weaker cultivators in expanding the amplification of his Power Core from 9 units to 900 units because rank 5 cultivators possess Power Cores themselves, while others still have their normal Energy Wells.

Because of this, he would only need to eat 10 rank 5 cultivator with a full Power Core at 90 units in order to complete his Power Core. But he will need to eat 1000 rank 3 and rank 4 cultivators with an energy well of 90 units. If their talent is worse, he will need to eat even more people.

A city is unlikely to have a single rank 5 cultivator, so it is not efficient to attack a city. Even if he succeeds in using a city to raise his Power Core to 900 units, he will still need to reverse time one month in order to avoid paying the massive fine.

Compared to attacking a city and eating rank 3 cultivators, he felt that hunting rank 5 cultivators in the Heavenly Battlefield would have a higher return on his effort.

However, as good as hunting in the Heavenly Battlefield can be, he will still need to get past the five divine beings officiating the Heavenly Battlefield before he can enjoy the benefits of having 15 cultivators in a sealed space with no option to escape.

Being caught by the divine beings before the battle has become a higher threat because he is no longer a rank 4 cultivator who can hide among a group of 400 other rank 4 cultivators.

He is now a rank 5 cultivator, so divine beings will pay more attention to him than before. Plus, there will only be 15 rank 5 cultivators there, so it will be much easier for the divine beings to notice him.

He felt that he might be able to hide from the other divine beings if he didn’t activate any of his Core Abilities or Life Ability, but he was not sure that he could hide from the divine beings from the Nexus of Truth Sect.

As he thought of this possibility, he shook his head and said to himself, ’I have very little faith in my ability to hide the fact that I possess a Divine Metac, especially not now that the Vengeful Bones Metac has changed my bones forever.’

This made him sigh and say, ’So even if I don’t use the Shifting Armor, it is still unlikely that I will be able to escape unnoticed from the gaze of Divine Beings.’

’It seems I can only give up on Heavenly Battlefield in favor of attacking cities. Unless I can find a way to hide the fact that I have the Vengeful Bones Metac.’

As he thought of ways to hide his changed bones, he habitually tried to deactivate the Vengeful Bones Metac.

Not that he was actively using the Vengeful Bones Metacs now. But the Vengeful Bones Metac is, by design, always passively activated and ready to capture the power of any attack that strikes him at any time.

Ever since the Vengeful Bones Metac became his Core Metac, this passive ability has always been present, and he has never been able to deactivate it because the effect is literally in his bones.

But things were different this time because of his Mental World. Because of his Mental World, his control over all of his Core Metacs has increased dramatically.
