THE GOD EATER - Chapter 532: Divine Spirit Creature.

When he looked through the sect token, he saw tthat the exchange rate was listed as one divine spirit creature for 1 divine merit point. This made his eyes widen in shock. Then his surprise quickly turned into anger.
He gritted his teeth and said, “Tell me, just how greedy can you be? Where is the end to your greed?”
He was angry because a divine spirit creature is a creature that contains at least 100,000 law fragments within it. This particular number of law fragments is how many are needed for 500% amplification or six times the power output.
An amplification of 500% will multiply the power output by six. This is why 500% amplification is called level 6 amplification. Since level 6 is usually associated with divine beings, the spirit creatures that contain 100,000 law fragments are thus called divine spirit creatures.
Loki believes that asking for a divine spirit creature for one point of divine merit is too much. This is because such creatures are rare and because he will need a thousand of them to advance to rank 7.
When he thought about what he needed to do to get a divine spirit creature, he said, “I will either have to be lucky, or I will have to capture spirit creatures of a single type, raise them until I have enough to create a divine spirit creature myself.”
“Not only will that be stressful and require a lot of resources and time to create, but when I am successful, I can be certain that the spirit creature will rebel and try to break my Cave Heaven or that an even stronger spirit creature will find and attack my Cave Heaven from the outside.”
At the end of the day, he shook his head and said, “I would rather eat all of the divine spirit creatures than give it to the sect. There is no way I’m giving them 100 million law fragments. At most, I will fight for the sect to earn divine merit points.”
His mind is made up on this, and there is nothing that will change his mind about it. Not even the fact that he might be able to cultivate 100 million law fragments by sacrificing the living things in his world to spirit creatures will change his mind about it.
So he gritted his teeth and returned to eating law fragments. While he was doing this, he still preoccupied himself thinking about various matters and tending to the farm in his Cave Heaven. But occasionally, he would curse the sect for their greediness.
Based on his short-term experience in the second heaven, most of the spirit creatures around him are above rank 5 Branch Metacs. That is, they possess more than 15 units of law fragments within them.
This abundant amount of spirit creatures makes it worthwhile for him to spend his time eating here rather than buying Branch Metacs to eat. But there is still a large gap between 15 units of law fragments and 100,000 units of law fragments.
The giant trees around him possess law fragments in the hundreds, while the large lakes that he sees everywhere can possess up to 1,000 law fragments and more. So divine spirit creatures with 100,000 law fragments are very rare.
There is also the fact that when these divine spirit creatures form, they gain sentience and can act beyond their instinct to grow. They also gain the ability to weaponize the suppression effect of law fragments.
This sentience and their active usage of the suppression of law fragments won’t be much of a problem for him since most divine spirit creatures still seek out other divine spirit creatures of their kind. But it will be a big problem for him if the divine spirit creatures they seek are in his Cave Heaven.
From what Hammock has told him, even he would have a hard time dealing with them. This is mostly because he won’t be able to use the power of his Cave Heaven to fight them. But it is also because they can actively use the suppression effect of law fragments as a weapon.
He is not sure if the suppression effect from those divine spirit creatures will work on him. But this is still not enough reason for him to hand over so many law fragments to the sect.
He was mulling over this when he sensed someone trying to inquire about the death of Lady Red.
This made him frown and say, “What has happened now? I thought she already gave up? Or is this another person other than the Snake Queen?”
He shook his head and blocked the inquiry. Then he resumed his actions of eating law fragments.
This inquiry cost him a hundred and fifty years of his lifespan to block. So it seemed that whoever was searching for Lady Red’s murderer was more determined.
But after a while, whoever was making the inquiry gave up. So he put the matter at the back of his mind and forgot about it.
His eating spree continued for days. He didn’t want to stop because he was earning law fragments at a rate of 10,000 per day.
With this kind of daily benefit, he could gain more law fragments in one month than he gained in the three months of eating Branch Metacs in the first dimension. So he felt like he could stay here and eat forever.
Unfortunately, he was interrupted again when someone sensed that the owner of the Psychic Flame was dead and began investigating who killed the mind hunter.
He still chose to block the investigation. But this time, things weren’t so easy.
Whoever was making the inquiry had a higher cultivation than he. This forced him to use more lifespan to block their inquiry while they spent less lifespan.
The person was also persistent about knowing this information. So it took him spending 1,300 years before they gave up on investigating the mind hunter’s death.
