THE GOD EATER - Chapter 567: Faster-than-light Speed.

The ability to cover a distance of 51,214 light-years in 7 days, 7 hours, and 12 minutes can only be considered very fast. In fact, he believes that it should be considered absurdly fast. After all, this is a speed that appears to be faster than light.
However, he doesn’t think he was able to achieve this because he can actually move faster than light. He is sure that he could only achieve this by traveling in the third dimension rather than moving through the first.
In the third dimension, distance has shrunk. Reality looks like a map in the third dimension, so by moving a short distance on the map in the third dimension, he can move a much greater distance through the first dimension.
According to his experience, the usual rate of travel in the third dimension is one day to cover one light year for every one unit of divine power from the Cave Heaven.
So someone who can produce two units of divine power with their Cave Heaven will be twice as fast and will be able to cover the distance of two light-years in one day.
Since his Cave Heaven can produce 6 (Cultivation Rank) × 146 million (Cave Heaven) × 8 (Law Fragments), totaling 7,008 units of divine power, he can cover a distance of 7,008 light-years in one day. This is why it took him only a little over 7 days to cover 51,214 light-years.
In comparison, in the first dimension, one unit of divine power can only cover 1 kilometer every second. So with an output of 7,008 units of divine power, he will be able to travel 7,008 kilometers per second in the first dimension.
However, a light-year is 9.461 × 10^12 kilometers. With a speed of 7,008 kilometers per second, it would take him 1,350,028,538.81 seconds, or 22,500,475.65 minutes, or 375,007.93 hours, or 15,625.33 days, or 42.81 years to travel one light-year.
So if he had traveled in the first dimension, it would have taken him 2,192,471.34 years to cover the distance of 51,214 light-years. Of course, he can speed things up by using Divine Metacs to increase his output of divine power.
But using Divine Metacs to speed things up will consume a lot of his lifespan. So even if he can find a way to move as fast as light, the cost in terms of lifespan will kill him, and he would still have to spend 51,214 years in the journey.
However, even though he is slow compared to the speed of light, he is still proud of himself for moving at 2.33% of the speed of light. The best part of this speed is that he doesn’t need to expend any effort to move this quickly.
The infinite life energy within him that he gained from the Blessed Heaven World through his Divine Position is what will be consumed for him to achieve this speed. So he can travel at this speed forever or for as long as he has a lifespan to live for.
During the journey, he didn’t encounter any world, be they small, medium, or large world. This didn’t surprise him because space is mostly empty.
There was also the fact that he wasn’t the first person taking this route. Many people had taken this route and would have encountered any world along the route before him.
Since most of these divine beings that had gone ahead of him were stronger than he was, it made sense that any world that might have existed in this stretch of space had been plundered a long time ago.
So he didn’t have anything to do during his journey aside from thinking about things and managing his Cave Heaven. Fortunately, he had a lot to think about and a lot more things to deal with in his Cave Heaven.
One thing he thought about was how the entire Sea of Worlds was only about 100,000 light-years across. Other divine beings consider this to be very large, but as someone who used to live in a universe that was billions of light-years across, the Sea of Worlds seems incredibly small to him.
The Sea of Worlds didn’t appear to be expanding either. The entire observable universe is all there is to see about the Sea of Worlds, and there is even a barrier at the edges of the Sea of Worlds.
All of this information gave him a lot to think about concerning the nature of his current world and the nature of the previous universe that he used to live in. He couldn’t come to any conclusions, but this only spurred him to grow stronger.
Eventually, he reached the small world. When he got there, he was surprised to see what was waiting for him.
He has been to many small worlds, and all of them have been bare. They always looked like spherical gemstones floating in space. But this small world was different in that it had rings around it.
When he got close enough to the small world, he saw that the rings were made of metal. This indicated that they were artificial and had been built by someone.
There were seven rings around the world. The biggest one was around the equator of the world. It was the biggest one because it was the thickest part of the world.
There were six other rings. These six were arranged as three above the equator ring and three beneath the equator ring. The three of them became increasingly smaller the farther away they were from the equator and the closer they were to the poles of the world.
As Loki got closer and closer, he saw living people on the rings. All of them looked human. But there was something odd about them.
All of the people had a black tattoo of a ring around their head. Loki checked carefully, so he was sure that this black ring wasn’t a cosmetic add-on. The black ring had been etched deep into their skin and wasn’t removable.
