THE GOD EATER - Chapter 607: More And More Power.

The dragon king had expected this singular move to bring Loki into his mouth, where he would be destroyed. But the failure of the whirlpool didn’t mean that the dragon king would give up.

In fact, the opposite was the case. The fact that he was still kicking and had been hiding his strength made the dragon king determined to kill him.

Since one Divine Metac wasn’t enough, the dragon king immediately added the Water Whip Metac into the mix. Once the Water Whipe Metac was activated, the water in the whirlpool turned into blades that grabbed Loki, pulled him backwards, and tried to shred his body.

Because of the Water Whip Metac, the power of the whirlpool surged. The power of the whirlpool jumped from 7,198,720 units of divine power to 8(Cultivation Rank) × 8(Mind) × (8(Sea Devouring Metac) +8(Water Whip)) × 1,406 million (Cave Heaven) × 10(Law Fragments), which is 14,397,440 units of divine power.

This was a direct increase of 100%. It was also more than enough to deal with Loki’s meagre 7,578,144 units of divine power. So the whirlpool began to drag him backwards while cutting him into pieces.

As Loki felt himself drift backwards, he thought to himself, ’At this rate, I won’t make it to the dragon king in one piece.’

This was because the whirlpool was also carving him with the water blades. So the whirlpool was a blender for him, not just something pulling him into the Jaws of the dragon king.

He could only shake his head and say inwardly, ’So this is the power of a dragon king. A rank 6 Divine Metac appears to be behaving like a rank 8 one when he uses it.’

’No wonder Money Body was so cautious. I can’t imagine what kind of power the dragon king can produce with 6 rank 8 Divine Metacs. I surely won’t want to be on the end of it.’

Right now, his body will be destroyed, and his Cave Heaven will be exposed long before he reaches the dragon king. In order to avoid that fate, he has to keep spending more of his lifespan to heal the injuries he is sustaining.

There are 64 water blades currently cutting into his body, and each water blade is creating injuries that cost 160 years of his lifespan to heal. So even if the 64 water blades each cut him once per second, he will have to use up 10,240 years of his lifespan just to stay alive in one second.

Unfortunately for him, the 64 water blades are not cutting him once per second. They are cutting him an average of 8 times per second. So the cost of staying alive per second is actually around 81,920 years of his lifespan per second.

But even if he pays this exorbitant amount of lifespan to keep his body intact until he reaches the dragon king’s jaws, this won’t solve all of his problems. There is still the matter of what to do when he reaches the dragon king’s jaws to worry about.

When he remembered what had happened to Ant Hill when she entered the cobra dragon’s jaws and how she was shattered to bits, he knew what to expect if he made it to the dragon king. He knew to expect that no matter how much lifespan he had at that point, it wouldn’t be enough.

So he said to himself, ’This can’t go on. I need more power.’

The first thing that popped into his mind was how to quickly increase his power. He thought about how he could increase his power by using his Divine Metacs together as they are, without using the Power Shifting Ability to make them behave like the Vengeful Bones Metac.

This plan would surely increase his power because some of the Divine Metacs would be able to use his other stats, like his Soul and Will, not just his Body and Mind, for power. The Splitting Edge Metac and the Viper Fangs Metacs came to mind when he thought about this.

But after he thought about the plan, he shut down the idea. This was because the increase in power was not going to be enough.

The increase in power was at most going to be enough to help him escape from this current whirlpool. But he doubted that he would be able to escape once the dragon king used a third and a fourth rank 8 Divine Metac.

There was also the fact that by using his myriad Divine Metacs in their true form, he would be exposing the fact that he possessed more than one Divine Metac and that the Divine Metacs belonged to different pathways.

The rank 6 swordsman that he killed earlier must have already told people about him. If he were to confirm that rumor now, there would be nowhere in the universe for him, and the dragon king would be the last of his worries. So he quickly gave up on this idea.

Since increasing his personal power wasn’t going to work, he decided to do something he thought would surely save him if it succeeded. He didn’t like what he was about to do, but he gritted his teeth and did it anyway.

He sent a message to Money Body, saying, “The dragon king is here. Save me. I’ll tell you whatever you want to hear.”

Money Body replied, saying with mirth, “So are you ready to tell me what you’re here for?”

He immediately replied, saying, “I’m here to take note of your power and every Divine Metac that you use. That way, we will be able to make better plans to deal with you and also know everyone in the Thorn House of Commerce, including the hidden ones from the Divine Metacs that you borrow.”

“Once we know all the members of the Thorn House of Commerce, we will get rid of them secretly. Their death will rob you of extra power to borrow. This will make it easier to deal with you.”
