The Blessed Heaven World didn’t inform him of the investigation because he wasn’t a divine being of the world and a part of the divine constellation. So his inability to gain access to infinite life energy is not the only thing he is losing out on.

He did have an inkling of what might have happened because he expected to have offended the Thorn House of Commerce for destroying one of their cities. So he expected the money grubbers to look for him for revenge.

This is why it didn’t take him by surprise when he felt someone trying to touch him with their eyes.

He smirked and shook his head as he said, “Those money grubbers are truly vindictive. It has only been 17 minutes since i destroyed Crystal City, and they have already employed a seer to find me.”

“I was hoping that they would come after me for revenge after I became an official divine being. But I guess they are in too much of a hurry for revenge.

Then his tone became serious as he said, “Jokes aside. If I can’t foil this divination, I will have to give up on my plan for this timeline. I simply can’t have Money Body hunting me right now.”

The feeling of being spied on was weird. Not only did he feel a physical sensation of an eye scanning him, but he could see the eye try to appear above him to see him completely.

He activated his Power Identification Ability, so he saw that the power of the eye was 7(Cultivation Rank) × 7(Mind) × 7(Star Divination) × 175 million(Cave Heaven) × 7(Law Fragments), which is 420,175 units of divine power.

This kind of power made him curl his lips and say, “So not as powerful as Nether Flame. That’s good.”

This time, he had the choice to determine if the spying attempt would work or not. He chose to block the spying attempt, and he used the Nanite Metac to block it.

The nanobots in his body began to vibrate in an attempt to feed the eye chaotic information. Their attempt will be successful if they are stronger than the power trying to spy on him. If the power of the vibration isn’t enough, the eye will be able to see through it.

As it turned out, the power of the vibration was 6(Cultivation Rank) × 6(Mind) × 6(Nanite Metac × 5) × 87 million(Cave Heaven) × 7(Law Fragments), which is 657,720 units of divine power.

The Nanite Metac alone wasn’t going to be enough to defend against the spying, so he used the Power Shifting Ability to make his four other Divine Metacs behave like the Nanite Metac. That way, it appeared as if five Nanite Metac were working together to defend against the spying.

Since the 657,720 units of divine power that he was able to produce were greater than the spying power of 420,175 units of divine power, he was able to block the spying attempt.

The eye was still watching him, but it only saw a vague figure. The eye also couldn’t glean any information from him. It was as if he were a walking manifestation of static noise.

Despite the failure of the spying, the eye refused to give up. The eye remained and continued to try to see through him.

This stubbornness meant that the seer had chosen to spend more of her lifespan in hopes that whatever method he was using to defend himself would fail. But Loki wasn’t worried since he had a lot of lifespan to spare.

He snorted in disdain and ignored the eye. Unfortunately for him, another troublemaker came along just after dealing with the seer. A curse suddenly descended on him and tried to attach itself to his body.

This surprised him a little bit, and he said, “They got a seer and a death cultivator? Here I thought they would only get one.”

“It couldn’t have been cheap to hire those two. Just how much do they want to get me? Is this all for revenge, or is there another matter involved?”

While he was thinking, he tried to defend against the curse. He used the same power that he used to defend against the spying.

This time, the power of the curse was 6(Cultivation Rank) × 6(Soul) × 6(Curse Worm) × 125(Cave Heaven) × 7(Law Fragments), which is 189,000 units of divine power.

This kind of power wasn’t strong enough to curse him, so the curse fell short. When it didn’t work, the death cultivator tried another method.

The death cultivator combined their second Divine Metac, called the Death Touch Divine Metac, with the power of the Curse Worm to overcome his defense.

The Death Touch Metac caused the power of the curse to increase from 189,000 units of divine power to 6(Cultivation Rank) × 6(Soul) × (6(Curse Worm) + 6(Death Touch)) × 125(Cave Heaven) × 7(Law Fragments), which is 378,000 units of divine power.

This was an increase of 100%, but it still wasn’t enough. But just like the seer, the death cultivator refused to give up. He, too, kept trying to wear Loki down.

Loki could only shake his head and say, “They are as stubborn as badgers. I hope for their sake that whatever they are being paid for this is going to be worth all of the lifespan that they are wasting.”

He is dismissive of them, but he knows that the Thorn House of Commerce is capable of so much more. The fact that these two divine beings have been hired to find him and the two of them haven’t given up despite failing also made him understand that this matter might be more serious than he expected.

So he guessed that the Thorn House of Commerce, or whoever is looking for him, will try to do something else to get to him. This created a sense of urgency and unease within him.
