The Innkeeper - Chapter 2132 Not even my mother

Chapter 2132 Not even my mother
Cultivation as an Immortal was an endeavor of centuries if not millennia. In fact, even that may not necessarily be enough to allow an immortal to move between the levels of a single Immortal realm. One simple example of this was Ragnar.
He was one of Jotun’s finest generals, and was considered a rising star because he had been able to consistently raise his cultivation level each century despite being so occupied by his responsibilities.
The true difficulty of rising in the Immortal realm was that, unlike previous cultivation which was, in essence, the stable accumulation of spirit energy, cultivation as an immortal was mostly focused on comprehension. Whether it was comprehension of laws, of their own tenets, of the various complexities of the countless energies in the universe, any of them would work. In fact, the possibilities were far greater than that, as was evident from Lex’s own cultivation.
Whether it was his tenets, his body, his soul, his spirit, his dragonheart, his comprehension of laws, all regularly received major upgrades – not to mention his developing Primordial aura, Dao Body, and Nephilim candidacy. Normally, any one of these would be extremely difficult to develop, but due to his cultivation technique and many opportunities, Lex developed them all too often.
Yet Lex could hardly be considered the norm, so his example could be discarded. Yet as the nourishing energy of the Primordial Sun Crow washed over the realm, not only maturing the realm in the process but affecting everything and everyone within it, billions of cultivators suddenly experienced a breakthrough.
Almost all mortal cultivators immediately had their cultivation levels elevated, and the only ones who didn’t were those who recently experienced an upgrade. Even those few didn’t lose out, as their foundations were strengthened and their cultivation honed.
The immortals, whether they were humans, beasts, or any other race, also experienced upgrades. Some had their bodies and souls healed by the nourishing energy, allowing them to increase their strength in the same realm. Others had their bloodlines improved, allowing them to move up a minor level.
Some, extremely lucky ones, however, experienced enlightenment upon feeling the nourishing energy, drastically improving their understanding of energies. The sky above the Inn started to become cloudy as countless tribulations were triggered, yet the light of the Sun Crow could not be denied. Even the dark tribulation could not block its light, which passed through them.
“Damn, my own mother wasn’t as good to me as the Innkeeper,” said one of the guests as he wiped the tears off his face.
“What do you mean mother? I haven’t been this good to my own children,” responded another guest.
“Yes mom! Get the hint!” responded the first, but his mother was no longer listening.
At that moment, for the first time in a long time, no one was causing any problems because all the guests in attendance were cultivating!
In fact, inside the Midnight Inn there were even a few, true mortals who had never cultivated before at all. For reasons ranging from poor aptitude to simply lacking a cultivation technique, they had appeared inside the Inn through countless channels. Some of them were Pro bono guests, while others had wandered through random golden doors that appeared in front of them. Whatever the case, even as mortals, they experienced tremendous gains. Their bodies were healed, their health improved, their cultivation aptitude increased. One of them, an extremely obese lady who continued to gain weight due to hormonal issues, suddenly shed all her weight, becoming as beautiful and resplendent as a rose. More importantly, she had serendipitously entered the path of body cultivation, a random technique simply manifesting in her mind. She could use food – spiritual food especially to improve her body’s strength. The technique was actually quite difficult to practice due to the harsh food requirements in terms of quality and quantity both.
If only she was living inside a magical inn for free which would also provide her with all the food she needed. Oh wait, that’s exactly what was happening to her!
Elsewhere inside the Inn, the Galactic Sovereign turtle was not overseeing his Heaven garden, but was presiding over the Midnight Inns crop fields. The demand for high quality food had skyrocketed, and through meticulous planning, the Inn was able to produce a majority of all the crops it needed – at least for sustenance purposes.
Yet as the energy from the Primordial Sun Crow baptized these crops, not only did they start growing faster, their levels automatically seemed to improve. The Midnight Realm, which already contained an abundance of extremely pure and highly concentrated spiritual energy, underwent a drastic change, beginning to produce energy of a higher quality.
The Sun Crows were an endangered species exactly because of how nourishing the light from their bodies was. A Primordial Sun Crow – one whose level Lex suspected at or nearing the Dao Lord realm – provided even better quality energy, promoting growth unlike anything else.
Eclipse had chosen her reward for the Innkeeper with great care, offering him the one thing she suspected he would like or need the most. Even the Primordial Garden itself also used Primordial Sun Crows for its light – though those were living ones instead of a corpse.
In a way, the Sun Crow could be considered a stronger, more powerful version of the Sol birds which used to exist in the Crystal realm. The difference was that Sol birds were subvariants of Phoenixes, not crows.
Thus, Sunny, the Sol bird that often followed along, was one of the few that gained the greatest benefits from the sudden appearance of the Sun Crow – suddenly experiencing an enhancement and purification of its bloodline! Too many experienced massive and unexpected gains from the arrival of the Sun Crow, but there was no question about who gained the most: Lex! It was not just that his Inn had improved, or that his realms maturing speed had been enhanced. No, Lotus, who was fused with the realm, was benefiting massively, and that feedback naturally went to Lex as well.
Unable to restrain himself any longer, Lex disappeared, appearing within the Primordial Garden. The very next second, his tribulations began.
