The Innkeeper - Chapter 2134 Migration I

Chapter 2134 Migration I
Lex lay on the ground, looking up in the air as drool slowly rolled down his cheek, his eyes unfocused. His body radiated the aura of a level 8 Heaven Immortal, and he looked like the picture of heath. After overcoming all the tribulations, the boost he received from his upgrade in cultivation allowed him to recover back to perfect health. However, he felt mentally fudged. How had he even survived those tribulations? He couldn’t quite remember. At one point, he was undergoing Fire and Lightning tribulations at the same time, and if that wasn’t enough, a strange bug was attracted by all the commotion.
Normally, no one could interfere with tribulations, lest they get punished as well. That was why it was impossible to help others pass their tribulations, as not only would the helper suffer, the tribulation for the one passing would also become more difficult.
Yet the bug was entirely unaffected, as if the tribulation couldn’t detect it at all. As it happened, Lex hadn’t been able to detect it either, as it could not be sensed by spirit or divine senses, only seen.
At some point, the bug had stung Lex, causing his left leg to swell up. Upon slapping it, the bug died, proving that it wasn’t strong at all. It could only remain undetected by him and the heavens, and its bite could break through Lex’s defenses. No big deal.
Honestly, Lex was not too surprised by anything at this point.
Thus, Lex Williams, level 8 Heaven Immortal, with a developing Dao body, Primordial aura, and countless other titles, just lay there on the ground with a leg that had finally returned to normal size.
“How long do you plan on just lying there?” asked a spider as it crawled up beside him. “Are you even alive?”
Lex turned his head and looked towards the spider, still feeling dazed. In truth, he wouldn’t have minded staying there for a few more hours at the very least, yet with the flow of time being what it was, he knew he couldn’t waste so much time.
“How can I help you?” Lex eventually asked, honing in on the spider. He was sure the spider wasn’t there just to check up on him.
“You’re being summoned by Lord Harriot, but he said not to disturb you until you recover properly,” the spider said, poking Lex’s cheek with one of its legs. It could not even cause his cheek to be pushed in, yet it was still so soft. How peculiar.
“Let’s go. It would be rude to keep Lord Harriot waiting,” said Lex as he picked himself up, dusting himself off. He wasn’t quite sure why he was being sought out by Lord Harriot. They had never really conversed before, and based on Lex’s impression the poodle Dao Lord was mostly focused on managing the garden and taking care of Eclipse’s wishes.
As Lex followed the tiny spider, no bigger than his pinky nail, he realized that it was actually a peak Celestial being! They moved through the garden unobstructed, though Lex was beginning to sense that the garden was becoming more dangerous lately.
In truth, due to the fusion with the Crystal realm, the Primordial Garden was undergoing a period of relative peace and quiet. Such a period would only slowly end, thereby giving the new members of the realm a period of time to adapt.
Yet the rules that usually allowed the new members to the realm would most likely not work in this case, for the Primordial realm was not something that could be easily adapted to. Over here, cultivation level was of little consequence, as every being was simply ridiculously powerful, just like the Primordial times when the masses had not yet figured out the concept of cultivation levels, knowing only and only strength.
Reaching Harriot did not take too long, likely because they seemed to pass through the garden with unnatural speed, as if being helped along by an invisible hand.
“Lord Harriot, you summoned me,” Lex said, bowing towards the poodle. He had no intentions of acting casually simply because he knew Eclipse. Proper respect had to be given, no matter what. He had not forgotten how easily two Dao Lords had been swallowed up after provoking Eclipse in the slightest. While Harriot naturally did not have Eclipse’s status, he could get rid of Lex with even greater ease than that.
“Relax, Lex. Since you are on a first name basis with the Lady Eclipse, you will not be mistreated here. The reason I called for you was actually because I wish to make use of your inn’s services. Previously, during the tea party, the Henali reached a deal with us.
“We have many new beings within our garden that won’t be able to adapt, and will die off. Such mass deaths will interfere with the balance of the garden, so we are planning on migrating them to another realm. Such a mass migration is typically not easy, as moving from realm to realm is likely to cause death among the weak. But from what I understand, your Inns teleportation is quite safe, even for mortals. Is that right?”
Lex immediately nodded. He hadn’t even known that the Primordial Garden and the Henali were in discussions, so the fact that they had reached some sort of migration agreement was quite surprising. He could not even begin to imagine all the kinds of deals that had taken place inside his tavern during those few
days.
“That’s good. We will migrate the selected ones in batches, with the first batch being those most likely to die soon. After transferring them to your Inn, the Henali will decide how to transport them out, and it might take a few centuries
to carry out.
“Thus, we have decided to keep the first batch small, at only five trillion low level beasts and spirit plants so that you’re able to adjust them appropriately. Then, five years after that, we will transport the second selected batch who aren’t able to adjust to the garden. Initial estimates put the second batch at around 100 trillion low level beasts, plants and races.”
