The Innkeeper - Chapter 2145 Finally done

Chapter 2145 Finally done
Percy felt numb. His life hadn’t been that great to begin with, to be honest. He was an orphan, living alone, ostracised wherever he went. Then one day, out of the blue, someone accused him of stealing lightning – whatever that meant. Well, actually he found out that lightning was the name of someone’s cat that ran away and just happened to be seen near his house.
So a bunch of guys came over to beat up Percy. When he started to run, he accidentally fell through a mysterious golden door that appeared out of thin air. Thus, he came to the Midnight Inn.
This place was kind of awesome – especially since he had a week long free stay since he was a Pro bono guest. During that free time, he learned about cultivation and how it made people stronger. Suddenly, the idea of revenge and vengeance sprouted in his mind, taking hold of his thoughts.
All he could think of was to cultivate, go back and get even with everyone who had ever harmed him! He wanted them to suffer as he suffered! Yet just as he was about to return to carry out his plan, the Inn was sealed. No one could return.
Since then, he’d been stuck inside the Inn. It was great here – honestly it was. No one bullied him, and everyone was nice, but Percy wasn’t satisfied. He wanted revenge! Unable to get it, and unable to do anything to the people from the Inn, Percy became numb and goalless, wandering around like a zombie.
There was some kind of party going on, and somehow, he ended up at a screening of some kind of show. Percy didn’t care, and just sat there, staring out with a dead gaze. Or at least, that’s what he’d done at first.
Somehow, he found himself resonating with the anger and desire for vengeance shown by the main character. Although the circumstances were different, the feeling was the same. The more he watched, the more enamored he became with the show, and he could tell that there were many others who felt the same way.
But then, things took an unexpected turn. The character was growing, and learning. The pain saw no end, so he sought a different solution. Percy was completely hooked… but just as the show was about to reach its zenith… just as he was about to find his answer, a damn horse suddenly stood in front of the screen, blocking the view!
Perhaps to make up for its tiny size, the horse made itself appear bigger for greater effect, thereby blocking the entire view!
Perhaps the stronger cultivators could see past its body using their spirit sense, but Percy and many others did not have that! Moreover, even though the stronger cultivators could see past the horse, the timing of its appearance ruined the immersion of the show.
All at once, as if by prior agreement, millions of guests stood up and attacked the horse without giving it a chance to speak. At some point, someone screamed to sacrifice the horse to the Soul Hearth that burned the souls of those who dared to attack the Midnight. Inn!
Chaos ensued, for Junior was not so easily caught, and the once orderly environment suddenly broke into chaos.
“Do you think we should stop them?” one of the guards asked Z, who was standing on the side, watching everything unfold with his hands behind his back.
“No, let it be,” Z said, waving his hand. “Based on my understanding of tradition, a bachelor party is supposed to be slightly chaotic. Just make sure no one actually sacrifices the horse to the Soul Hearth.”
The security team looked out at the mob beating the horse with sticks hesitantly. There seemed to be something wrong with the scene, but he vaguely recalled that some of the guests who were Earth refugees talk about an ancient tradition of beating small horses with a stick in exchange for some kind of reward. A piñata, it was called, as he had heard. The security team couldn’t really understand it, but then again, some of the guests had weird traditions, so it was hard to say what was normal.
Instead of intervening, the security team just stood on standby, ready to act as soon as they were needed.
While this chaos was unfolding within the Midnight Inn, Lex once again found himself laying on the grass in the Primordial Garden, staring up listlessly into the sky. He had grown so much stronger. The tribulation was supposed to be easier, yet the massive hole in his chest, and his missing right arm was a clear indication of just how easy the tribulation really was.
Lex could not even heal his body back up until all the residual energy of the tribulation lightning and fire were used up, which basically meant he was still suffering the sensation of electrocution and burning in his body.
One thing was clear – while he constantly thought of himself as an overachiever, that was not the case in front of a Primordial tribulation. Fortunately, he did not feel even the slightest hint of approaching the next level, because he would certainly not survive the tribulation for that at all. It would likely be a long time before he was ready to become a Celestial Immortal.
But if there was one positive that came out of nearly being burned to a crisp, it was the fact that his Primordial aura had matured completely. While it could likely grow stronger if he continued to undergo more Primordial tribulations, at least his aura, as it was now, could no longer be identified as a fake Primordial
aura.
Thus, without actually being one, he could pass off as a Primordial. Lex didn’t know what the benefits of such a thing were, but based on Wu Kong’s actions of wanting to appear as a Primordial, Lex could conclude that there were certain benefits only Primordials could receive.
Not to mention, Eclipse would not have likely paid so much attention to recreating the Primordial age in her realm if there were no benefit to it. As the strongest Dao Lord in the universe, who also happened to know countless secrets, all her actions likely had many reasons behind them.
So, Lex was pretty happy with the state of his aura as it was right now. As for what benefits this thing brought him, he would have to find out on his own. He didn’t think he could tolerate the repercussions of asking Eclipse, lest she unload some huge secret onto him that would rock his world once more. Lex did not want anymore rocking – he just wanted peace!
Now, finally done with his task, Lex connected with the system to check on the progress of the wedding, and suddenly he went incredibly pale as he saw the
wedding bill!
WHAT?
