The Invincible Full-Moon System - Chapter 1594 1594: Kin in the Spirit Realm

Rex’s blood ran cold.
He remembered that the Voidal Prince could resurrect.
It was practically unkillable, as even Princess Davina couldn’t kill it permanently.
Earlier, he was able to take it down by using all of the reservoir from the Invincible II item that was still inside him, but it didn’t take it down permanently. Considering that he got the exp from killing it, Rex thought that it was dead for good.
But it wasn’t.
However, the Voidal Prince wasn’t the main problem right now.
Something more dangerous appeared.
Is that… the Voidal Monarch?
Rex’s breath was caught in his throat as he stared at the dark, shadowy figure that emerged from inside the dragon snake. It seeped out of the dragon snake’s body like a ghost and is now facing him with all the malice it possesses.
It doesn’t have an actual body.
Only a mass of shadow gathering into one as if its entire body were made of dark smoke.
Located where its face was supposed to be was a pristine white mask shaped like a serpent, exposing only two embers behind it, which should be its eyes. And when it was fully out of the dragon snake, its form was fully exposed.
A towering creature that seemed extremely tall, even with the distance between them.
Its entire body was covered in an ink-black cloak that seemed to be made by the essence of darkness itself.
Rex sweated profusely, but he tried to remain composed.
I can’t back down. I can’t show any weakness.
Voidal Monarch, unlike its subordinates, can be as intelligent as people or perhaps even more.
So, Rex has to treat it with great caution.
He has to treat it as if he were facing someone extremely intelligent.
Since he barged into the storm and was even able to kill the Voidal Prince with one hit, that showed a level of confidence in the Voidal Monarch’s eyes. It might even look at Rex as an equal, someone who hides his strength behind his measly aura.
Going back right now would only complicate things.
Rex needs to stand his ground.
For a tense moment, the Voidal Monarch stared at Rex while the Voidal Prince began to resurrect.
Then, it tilted its head menacingly.

<Warning!>
Rex’s entire body tensed as notifications flooded his vision one after the other like an endless stream.
It started with a shiver.
The Neverborn Resonance made the Voidal Monarch’s aura darker, sucking in what little light the Black Rift let through from the sky. He could feel the primal fear of something swelling inside him, making his legs that could withstand the weight of an empire and the expectations of those close to him turn into jelly.
He has never felt this before.
Never in his life had his body betrayed him, even in the face of death.
But this time, his legs trembled.
Rex could tell that this was a magical inducement that bypassed his experiences and willpower.
An incredibly strong ability.
Next, his body turned extremely rigid as the Spirit Genesis: Null Void tampered with reality.
It made Rex feel like he was teleported elsewhere, into an empty void that was devoid of any senses.
One that made his body unresponsive, as if it were severed from the command of his brain.
As if that was not enough, the Advanced Spirit Genesis: Greater Dark deteriorated his internal organs.
His skin was decaying, his lungs were collapsing, and his bones were withering.
Not to mention, the pressure coming from the Voidal Monarch was unlike anything he had ever felt before.
He had seen Princess Davina fight with a Voidal Prince.
But even the pressure produced by their part wasn’t this heavy.
It was as if there was a mountain placed directly on his back.
Rex mustered everything he had to cast his own Spirit Genesis, the Inevitable Death, and bite down on his lips, not forgetting to use the Dark Auctoritas Echo, hypnotizing himself to remain standing, fighting back the Null Void’s influence.
No matter what, he can’t drop to his knees.
Once he did, the Voidal Monarch would know he was weak, and that’ll be his death.
Endure… Endure!
I’ve endured the death of people I hold dear. I’ve endured enemies that outclassed me like this.
Rex bit down on his lips harder, causing blood to drizzle down his chin as he glared ahead.
Directly at the Voidal Monarch.
I’ve even faced Gods, and you think you can intimidate me with abilities?! Don’t make me laugh!
Even as vision was disappearing, even as sound faded from his eardrums, even as he lost his voice, and even when his body reached its limit, Rex stood without flinching. He endured the pain without showing any kind of signs that he was hurting.
Gradually, he lost his senses to reality, as if the world was closing in on him.
But still, he remained standing.
Just when the world was really taken away from him, something emerged from inside him.
Kraken came out and stood in front of him.
Despite its small stature and weak aura, he growled at the Voidal Monarch in a small voice.
Rex couldn’t see what was going on.
But in the next moment, he blinked in surprise when his senses returned to him.
All of the Voidal Monarch’s abilities faded away.
Rex gazed ahead and caught sight of the Voidal Monarch’s eyes widening at the sight of Kraken.
For some reason, Kraken’s appearance caused it to lose focus.
Did it know Kraken? Or was the retaliation of a weak Voidal Monster catch it off guard?
Rex immediately wiped the first thought that came to mind since there was no way the Voidal Monarch knew Kraken, since he was only born recently. So, it could only mean that it was the latter, and this was his perfect opportunity to make a leave.
Even though the Black Rift and the storm were blocking his vision, the System is still present.
And in the distance, there were several other people approaching their position.
Since they might be strong, Rex didn’t scan their stats, so he didn’t know who they were exactly.
But if he had to guess, the sovereign of this land must’ve sent people to contain the Voidal Monarch.
If he could slip away, they would take care of the situation.
All of them are still a fair distance away, but I doubt the Voidal Monarch will be going through Lorayah Village anymore. I need to get Kraken and leave right away. I’ve broken the momentum, and this is my window to escape.
Just as Rex was about to grab the growling Kraken, he stumbled and fell to his knees.
The rain had turned the ground slick, but this—this wasn’t because of that.
His strength was exhausted from enduring the Voidal Monarch’s gaze.
Shit! I’m fucked!
Rex’s eyes widened as he looked at the ground in front of him in horror.
He stumbled and fell.
And that would mean he exposed his weakness to the Voidal Monarch.
Rex looked up and sweated, meeting the Voidal Monarch’s scrutinizing gaze once again.
Aoouuu!
Out of nowhere, a howl echoed through the thundering storm.
It was light, but Rex’s ears picked it up.
“A Werewolf…?”
Rex’s eyes widened when he saw two figures standing to his right.
Living most of his entire life hating Werewolves and then becoming a Werewolf himself, Rex would not mistake what a Werewolf would look like. From the posture of their silhouettes—the powerful hind legs, the hunched backs, swaying fur, and clawed hands—there was no mistaking they were Werewolves.
And though Rex wanted to deny what he was seeing, he couldn’t.
A flash of lightning illuminated their forms for a single, damning heartbeat.
Even though it was brief, Rex could see that they were really Werewolves.
No mistaking them now.
How is a Werewolf here? I thought Werewolves were unique to the mortal realm.
In the Spirit Realm, Rex was under the impression that there were only spirits and voidal monsters.
Varieties are exclusive to the Mortal Realm
But at this moment, his assumption was proven wrong as there are Werewolves in this realm too.
Beneath the pouring rain and the oppressive force of the black wind, the Werewolf on the right—with eyes glowing purplish dark blue—flared his chest and spread his claws. Then, tilting his snout skyward, he unleashed a second howl that reverberated through the storm-choked air.
It was a declaration of domination and power.
Rex raised his arm to shield his face as the howl erupted into a powerful shockwave of sound.
And when he looked back at where the two figures were, they were gone.
Both of them have already made their moves.
Rex turned to the side and realized the Voidal Monarch was reacting to them fiercely.
It didn’t roar or throw a tantrum, but its eyes now bore a sign of killing intent that wasn’t present earlier.
Like earlier, it unleashed its powerful abilities with only its gaze.
However, the two Werewolves that were rushing on all four legs reacted extremely quickly.
One of them had its body sizzling in shadow as it moved, gradually dissolving into the black wind as it drew closer to the Voidal Monarch, effortlessly slipping past the abilities hurled at it. Another had veins glowing with silver light, lunar light, and along with that radiance was the suction of voidal energy.
It conjured an invisible barrier that shielded it with ease from the incoming attacks.
Not one of the creeping dark influences was able to reach its mark.
Rex watched with his eyes wide open.
“Both of them aren’t using Soul Artifacts… Even Demon Spirits used Soul Artifacts, but they don’t. In theory, that makes them Voidal Monsters, but they weren’t emanating the same scent as those monsters. What are they, really?” Rex’s eyes narrowed. “Not to mention, they weren’t even as strong as the Voidal Monarch, but they could endure its dark influence easily.”
Seeing Werewolves in the Spirit Realm is a bizarre sight.
On one hand, this brought along more questions about the Werewolf lineage.
Or even the entire Supernatural Races lineage.
But on the other hand, Rex was somewhat excited inside.
Perhaps after feeling foreign for quite a long time, it was refreshing to see something he understood.
Roar!!
Surprisingly, one of the Werewolves materialized out of the black wind and bit down onto the dragon snake’s neck, greedily devouring its flesh. It managed to bypass the Voidal Monarch’s senses and went straight at the Voidal Prince.
As the Voidal Monarch was about to react, the other Werewolf stepped in.
Bam!
It shoulder-charged the Voidal Monster and sent it stumbling backward.
Rex’s jaw dropped when he saw this.
“So strong!” He gasped in surprise. “Not to mention, how big are they? Nine feet? Ten? Eleven?”
Now that they were closer, Rex could see how big these Werewolves are.
Based on his observation, the Voidal Monarch initially stood around ten feet tall—and yet, these Werewolves were even larger. The Voidal Monarch did swell in size upon realizing it was smaller than them, but that only confirmed one thing: these Werewolves stood well over ten feet tall.
Flunra was the biggest Werewolf in the pack and perhaps the biggest Rex has ever seen.
It was mainly because he evolved into his Werewolf Paragon bloodline.
But he was still smaller than these two.
Not only that, these two were moving in perfect harmony.
Both were aiming at the Voidal Prince, taking turns in eating while the other occupied the Voidal Monarch.
Rex was mesmerized by the sight.
It was like watching what the highest form of a pack’s chemistry looked like.
“Just what am I looking at?”
