The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1211: Void Manipulation

Chapter 1211: Void Manipulation
The moment the immortal shielded himself, Klaus used [Void Step] and [Void Shift] to close in on him, completely ignoring his shield.
The Void Step helped him move much faster, and the Void Shift allowed him to shift the position of his body, allowing him to completely evade the shield.
It was like the shield wasn’t even there in the first place.
This combined move poses a danger to anyone, even immortals.
“Void Spear.”
Klaus snapped his finger, and at such point-blank distance, large spears made from pure void energy shot out of the void, stabbing through the rib, arm, and leg of the immortal.
Klaus was far from him the next second.
“Aaarrrggghhhh,” the immortal screamed, not from pain but from sheer frustration and anger. Mere void spears had no business killing him.
His body was so much stronger than that. However, even with such a body, getting injured by a mere mortal was rather laughable.
His friends will laugh at him when they find out.
“Screaming won’t help you, mister. I already told you the outcome of this battle. You will die, and I will make sure of that.”
Klaus grinned and tapped into his [Void Manipulation] ability again, and thousands of spears appeared in the air. “Now, feel how helpless I would have felt if I were weaker.”
And just like that, Klaus, who was being energized by the void, started raining down spears on the immortal.
Yet again, if this were to be outside or even before Klaus formed the Origin Void Mark, the immortal would have had a better chance of defending or, even better, killing Klaus.
However, now it seemed he was powerless, now that the void was being harnessed by a mere mortal who had no business learning the laws just yet.
In the vast universe, most start comprehending the laws from the Empyrean stage. Most even wait until they become immortals before they start.
However, Klaus had already reached the “Super Affinity” for the void law, and he even had an Origin Mark. If news of this got out, many would chase after Klaus to become their teacher.
⟪Master, I have found a way to end him for good. Not even his immortal soul would survive.⟫
Klaus smiled, hearing the good news.
Killing immortals goes beyond killing their bodies. To fully kill an immortal, one must kill their body and soul. Unlike mortals, who die when their bodies die, immortals are much harder to kill.
Of course, there are skills, techniques, and weapons out there that can annihilate immortals, but to someone like Klaus, who had yet to possess immortal energy, killing one was rather hard.
He managed to kill the first one by using a soul attack, completely killing him from within.
But this one was different.
He was a level 7 Early Immortal. He had also undergone one Immortal Cycle, thereby passing the first immortal lightning tribulation from the Tribulation Sea.
So his body and soul were much stronger than the level 3 immortal Klaus had killed.
However, Icon had found a way, and this method was one Klaus hadn’t used for a while…
⟪Just attack him with a powerful sonic attack. That will cause both mental and soul disturbance. Then, once that happens, you can use the sword attack.⟫
’That seems simple enough.’
⟪Very simple, but a second delay will cause you to miss your chance. And once you miss it, it won’t work a second time, for he will be ready for you next.⟫
’Fear not, Icon, I will execute it well.’
Klaus smiled and then distanced himself from the immortal and activated the [Void Zone]. The moment he did, the two meters around him were muted.
The skill he was about to use would unleash a powerful sonic attack that would affect him. So, using his new void skill, he managed to create an environment where there was no sound.
The moment the zone was created, a golden bell that Klaus hadn’t used for a while appeared. This time, it looked real, for it was indeed real.
It is the Bell of Harrows he had depended on to defeat the heavens in the many tribulations he had at the start of his journey.
Back then, it was merely a projection of the real thing. Now, he had the real bell to use however he wanted.
But there was a crack in it, showing that it was damaged.
Nevertheless, Klaus didn’t care about that.
He channeled his energy into his fist and struck the bell, unleashing a powerful sonic attack.
Klaus tapped into the void and moved at the same time, appearing overhead of the immortal. In fact, Klaus moved even faster than the sound.
So the moment he appeared, the immortal turned to him, only for the sound to slam into his head the next second. In an instant, he lost his senses, causing him to close his eyes.
Klaus had already made his killing move.
“Blood Dominion Slash.”
The sword that appeared in Klaus’s hand trembled as so much killing intent was poured into it. Then, with one powerful slash, the immortal’s head shot into the air.
“Soul Annihilator.”
A red dagger emerged from Klaus’s soul sea and pierced the soul that tried to escape. Klaus had already prepared for this, so he was ready.
“NOOOOOOO!”
The soul screamed, but it was for nothing. The dagger Klaus used was once used by the Asura King to kill gods and supremes. A mere immortal who had been weakened by a sonic attack stood no chance.
Of course, he wasn’t the only one who stood no chance.
Klaus panted for breath, feeling all 449 minds he used to control the dagger go numb. Soon, they shut down to recover, or else they risked hurting the last remaining mind in the hivemind.
Klaus coughed a mouthful of blood, feeling his remaining mind weaken even more.
“Damn, killing just an Early Immortal is this difficult, then what happens when I face a Real Immortal or even a True Immortal?”
Klaus coughed up more blood. However, a smile appeared on his face as he looked at the body of the immortal. He formed a hand seal and then pointed it at him.
In an instant, golden blood emerged from the severed head and flew toward Klaus.
“So much power,” Klaus muttered, feeling the overwhelming energy coming from the blood essence he took from the immortal.
The technique Chaos left him required him to absorb the blood essence of his kills to improve his bloodline. Right now, he had two Supreme Grade Bloodlines and one God Grade.
If he were to start absorbing more blood essence, he might just be able to push all three to the Celestial Grade.
“I will handle it later.”
Klaus put the blood essence away. Then he waved his hand, and the body, along with its head, vanished into thin air.
’Maybe Asmodus can do something about it.’ Klaus smiled and opened a portal, sending himself outside.
Once he appeared outside, he was greeted by the sight of several headless bodies floating in space. Queenie looked like a slaughter queen, holding one of the Empyreans by the neck.
Paying close attention, Klaus saw a red mark appear on both her forehead and the Empyrean’s.
’She is taking his memories before killing him.’
As expected, just when she was done taking what she wanted, her sword moved and plunged into the heart of the Empyrean, ending his sorry life.
She looked toward Klaus and smiled. Klaus smiled back and then moved toward his wives, who were more than happy to see him.
Nadia jumped into his arms since she had earned it. Being chased by immortals was more than enough reason for her to have Klaus all to herself.
However, Klaus pulled Yuying toward himself, and the three vanished into the spaceship.
“You ladies should go back. We will take the slow way home,” Klaus’s voice echoed in their heads, leaving them frozen in place.
Soon, the Bird spaceship zoomed into the dark universe and resumed its travel back home.
