The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1352 1352: Leaving Planet Baski

The conversation with the team lasted three hours. In the end, all six agreed that Klaus would lead the team, but they would be in charge of battles.
That was a nice arrangement for him. He had no plans of making them his enemies, so he accepted their proposal. The place they would be going to is not exactly a place he can joke about.
He would need capable and trustworthy warriors. Of course, he would have help from Maud, his wives, and his beast legion, but he also needed his immediate team to have his back.
So the arrangement seems fine to him.
However, he pointed out that when it came down to their safety and the mission, he would make the call, and they would have to accept it. Klaus is already aware of the dangers involved with the mission, so he wanted them to understand his role well.
After their conversation, Manes, Slate, Echo, and Omen left, leaving only Klaus and Rory.
“You don’t seem bothered by the arrangement your father made. Does that mean you are fine with me leading?” Klaus asked when it was just him and Rory left in the garden.
“My father selected you to lead the team, so I have nothing to object to here. He saw potential in you and wanted you to lead us. Of course, while I have no issue with that, the same cannot be said for the others.
They are some of the best warriors we have, so it would be nice if you cut them some slack. However, you also should know that my father selected you to lead us, so do so and make sure you do not fail.”
Klaus nodded.
Maybe when things got bad, and there was no other way, they would listen to him. For now, he would accept the arrangement they had reached, and hopefully they would return in one piece.
“My father wants to see you, so we can go there next.”
“Sure. I have to visit the Mission Hall headquarters next and then go to the Warrior Tower, so I must wrap things up here.”
Rory nodded, and soon they were gone from the garden. She led Klaus to a tall tower and up to the top floor, where Lord Victor was waiting for him.
“How did the conversation go?” Lord Victor asked.
“It went well. We have come to an understanding, so in five months we will enter the nest and retrieve the treasure you wanted.”
“That is good to hear. However, now that you have a few months to prepare, what do you plan on doing?”
“I plan on going to the Warrior Tower, Mission Hall, and the Academy to register and redeem my rewards. Since they wanted to meet me in person, I would do that.”
“I will let Rory take you there, since it would be safer traveling with her. She may only have six Immortal Rings, but she is very powerful.”
“If that won’t be inconvenient for her.”
“Don’t worry, she wouldn’t mind. You can even use this time to give her some pointers.”
Klaus smiled and asked, “Shouldn’t I be the one asking for pointers? She is both older and stronger than I, after all.”
Lord Victor also smiled.
“That should have been the case. However, we both know you have more experience than any of us, so teaching her wouldn’t be too bad. I am sure if you meant to, you could help her make some progress within a few weeks.”
Klaus nodded. He knew Lord Victor merely wanted what was best for his daughter. As he said, he indeed had more experience than she did.
He already had High-Level mastery of space law. However, when it came to actually using it, his experience ran far deeper than it seemed.
His past lives are, of course, the cause.
That was why he could fold space and lock it so easily. So if such knowledge was given to Rory, who had perfect mastery over space law and the Ice Element, her combat power would expand even more.
“I will do my best. After all, she saved and guarded me till I woke up.”
Lord Victor nodded with a smile. He then said, “She can be a bit arrogant, so bear with her and take no offense when she goes off a bit.”
“I believe she and I are going to be best friends.” He was known to be rather arrogant, so there was no telling which of them would surpass the other in the field of arrogance.
“Before I leave, can you tell me something about the Galactic Mission Hall Leader?” Klaus asked.
“I don’t know much about him, but I know he is a True God and a powerful soul cultivator, so I advise you to be careful around him. Even I wouldn’t mess around before him.”
Klaus nodded.
All soul masters are Spirit Masters.
They mostly use their Spirit Master aspect when in combat.
However, that doesn’t make them any weaker.
It is just that when someone is introduced as a soul cultivator, it means they focus only on that, not on the Spirit Master class that comes with it.
It is a dangerous path to take, but since this person has become a True God, he is extremely dangerous. Klaus already knew that, so he would do his assignment before meeting with him.
“I will be careful then.” Klaus later left the tower. He found Rory waiting for him outside.
“Don’t you have friends you can go spend the afternoon with? Why wait for me like you’re my guard? FYI, I don’t mind you being my guard.”
“My father ordered me to keep you safe, so don’t overthink it. After you are done being useful, I will dump you and focus on other things.”
“Dump me? Makes me wonder if you think we’re dating.” Klaus walked and stopped before her, blocking her path. “Are we dating?”
Rory narrowed her eyes at him but said nothing. Instead, she vanished from sight, leaving one last message for him… “Meet me at the docking bay in an hour. It would take us three weeks to get to the Mission Hall Headquarters.”
“Very uptight lady,” Klaus smirked and left the scene.
—
“Father, do I really have to guard that bastard? I know he is the Paragon and all, but I can’t stand him. He is just too annoying,” Rory complained to her father, who merely smiled, hearing her worried words.
“He is the Paragon, Rory. If Grandpa hears he is back, I am sure he would already be here. So, from now until he is back or I reach the stage to go to the Forbidden Universe, we must maintain a good relationship with him.
Plus, he is very intelligent and resourceful, so maybe endure, and who knows, you might finally make a friend.”
“I can never be friends with such a bastard.”
“Then be his guard and make sure no harm comes to him. I will activate other assets to ensure extra security. But for now, keep him safe and well, and learn something from him.
In case you are not aware, he is far older than your great-grandfather, even if he is merely 23 years old now.”
Rory stood there for a few seconds before nodding. “I will be sure not to kill him.”
She teleported away, leaving her father smiling. “Good luck, dear. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I hope you make the best out of it.”
An hour later, Klaus and Rory left Planet Baski and headed to Planet Bluemoon, where the headquarters of the Milky Way Mission Hall could be found.
