The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1355 1355: Go Get Em' Mom

After spending the afternoon with his wives, Klaus left for Ross City to meet Nadia’s mother. And since Lucy’s family is also there, he planned on passing by before heading to the other cities to visit the rest of his in-laws.

He planned to spend little time with them, since he had come only this time to be with his wives.

So his intention in going there was merely to catch up with them and be on his way. They are all busy after all.

His other body with Rory is still a week out from Planet Bluemoon, and the one with Maud has yet to come out of the cocoon, so he wants his main body to be free for any emergency should the need call for it.

It took him less than a minute to get to Ross City. Normally, that should have been a 6-hour flight before the apocalypse had descended. But Klaus was able to travel that fast thanks to the evolution he had been through over the years.

Of course, if he wanted, he would have done that in less than three seconds using Space and Void Law. But it wasn’t important enough to go that far.

When he arrived, Lady Danika was inside the kitchen cooking. Klaus stayed outside for a while, making sure he entered at the moment she was done.

Twenty minutes later, she was done and walked out of the kitchen. Klaus knocked on the door, and when it opened, Lady Danika became stunned.

She never expected Klaus to be at her door, not when she and her daughter talked about him just two weeks ago.

Her mind quickly went back to what she and Nadia had talked about. This and the fact that Klaus had become even more handsome left her stunned and a bit flushed.

“Good to see you are well, Lady Danika,” Klaus said, his smile enchanting.

“Klaus… You are here.”

“I am indeed here. Didn’t Nadia inform you I would be coming by?” Klaus asked, a bit taken aback that Nadia didn’t inform her mom he would be coming by.

“It doesn’t matter if she said anything or not. Now that you are here, I guess it is fine.” She opened the door wide. “Please come in.”

Klaus walked in, his nose already searching for the infamous cupcakes Lady Danika is known for making.

“Please sit down. I will be back.” Klaus nodded and sat down. He had already picked up on the smell of the cupcakes, so he knew she was going for them. Three minutes later, he was smiling as he was served what he came for.

“You are the best, Lady Danika.” Klaus is shameless when it comes to food.

Lady Danika smiled. “Enjoy yourself. I will freshen up and change into something presentable.”

“I don’t mind what you put on, Lady Danika. Nadia’s mother is eye candy, so even if you have rags on, I wouldn’t mind.”

“Fancy words, Klaus, but I need to look presentable before my son-in-law, so I will be back.” She left the dining hall and went to take her bath.

However, instead of entering the bathroom, she went for her phone and called her daughter.

“Brat, why didn’t you warn me that Klaus was in town and that he was coming to see me?” Clearly, she started to panic. Over the past two weeks, she had been thinking about getting close to Klaus, as her daughter wanted. But she never seemed to come up with something.

Now, Klaus is here, and she is lost on what to even say or do.

Nadia smiled and replied to her mother, “Mom, you don’t have to do anything now. Klaus would be staying for a couple of months, so there would be plenty of time to make your move.

For now, get comfortable around him. Ask him about his trip and anything else you can think of. I know this is a hard step for you to take, but Klaus is not a monster, so get comfortable. After today, if you like him, you will know.”

Lady Danika stood there for a few minutes before she nodded.

“Great. Go get ’em, Mom.”

Lady Danika hung up the call and entered the bathroom. She quickly freshened up, and within ten minutes, she was ready.

She put on a loose-fitting gown that hid everything. She may be trying to get to know Klaus, but that doesn’t mean she should make it obvious for him.

“Well, you surely know how to make a man happy, Lady Danika. These cupcakes are magical,” Klaus said when she walked back to the dining hall.

“I am glad you like them. Since Nadia became a warrior, she has cared little about food.”

“Well, for what it is worth, my stomach is open for as many cupcakes as you can feed me.”

“Then in that case, let me know when you will be leaving so I can prepare a batch for you,” Lady Danika smiled and asked playfully, “I hope it is not too soon, though.”

“Not really. I will be spending a couple of months here, so you take your time to give me many flavours. Trust me, while there are many amazing restaurants in the universe out there, they don’t have cupcakes this delicious.”

Lady Danika smiled, “I guess I should one day open a bakery.”

“I will be your first and regular customer.” Klaus bit into a pineapple-flavoured cupcake, letting the taste travel down to his stomach.

“Mmmmhhh”

Lady Danika laughed. She was happy that Klaus liked her cupcakes. Now, all she needed to do was make sure he liked her body too.

“So, how is it like out there?” she asked.

“Very beautiful. Although it was made up of only humans, there are all kinds of human species that I can’t even begin to describe. Most of them are just like you and me, while some are more alien than human.

However, in all, aside from the dangers, the worlds out there are filled with so much beauty that I am sure you will like. I know I did and would do when I see more of it.”

“Sounds like you had an amazing time.”

“I did. But being back home is also amazing. I get to meet my wives and spend time with all of them.”

“I can only imagine that,” Lady Danika said, a smile playing on her lips; however, inwardly, she seemed a bit sad.

Klaus saw this and smiled. “Don’t worry, Lady Danika, a day will come when you can travel anywhere you want without a worry.”

“I can’t wait for that day. For now, I can only imagine.”

“How about this. When Nadia and her sisters are heading to Planet Caelmir, you can join them. I am sure you would enjoy the change of scenery.”

“That would be amazing.”

“Then it is decided. You will be leaving with them in a couple of months.” Klaus took a bite of another cupcake, and his smile bloomed.

Lady Danika smiled also, and then a thought entered her mind.

“How about I teach you how to make it. This way, even when you are away, you can prepare some on your own.”

“That would be awesome.”

Lady Danika smiled and decided to make her first move here… Getting to know more about Klaus seem to have presented itself.
