The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1360: Accepting an Advance Mission

Chapter 1360: Accepting an Advance Mission
The mission hall has many stages of missions.
There are the common, rare, epic, Epic, Legendary… The Epic missions are mostly for B-class Hunters, where the targets are mostly within the Early Immortal and Real Immortal stages.
Of course, there are some situations in which the target can be a True Immortal. But those are rare situations.
However, when it comes to Legendary missions, the target can be from the Early Immortal stage to as far as the True Immortal stage.
Those are missions many Hunters fancy because they are high-paying in both money, Hunter points, and safety.
The hunters who go for Legendary missions are mostly True Immortals. They would basically be within their element. But even if it turned out to be dangerous, they could escape.
However, when it comes to the next category of missions, that is where many hunters start turning their necks.
Advanced missions are all dangerous. The least advanced mission has multiple True Immortals and sometimes even multiple Immortal Kings as the baseline for target strength.
The maximum strength level of an advanced mission is sometimes within the ranks of Immortal Emperor and Immortal Monarch.
This made them some of the most difficult missions, only for S-class and SS-class hunters to undertake. Most hunters even go in groups to ensure maximum security.
So, for Klaus to now be offered such a mission, there is a great chance that the mission itself is more dangerous than that. Of course, for them to want him to take this mission, there must be something extremely wrong.
If they thoroughly want the mission completed well and on time, sending an SSS-class hunter will do the magic. However, they are asking a B-class warrior like him to take on such a mission.
“I know you have questions. However, you can ask them later, after I send you the mission details. Of course, after you receive the mission details and you feel like you can’t handle it, there would be no harm caused.”
Klaus nodded.
Since he now has many bodies, he can do many things at once. This means that with his body dedicated to the life of a hunter, warrior, and disciple, he would be handling this mission.
But since he had to be ready in a few months for the mission Lord Victor had given him, three years seemed like a good time to prepare.
He will be able to finish all minor missions before the three years are up.
Even if he works extra hard, he can become a Real Immortal within a few months. However, Klaus wants to relax in his main body and give his other bodies that chance to advance.
This decision is to throw suspicions away from him.
Three powerful youths appearing in the limelight almost at the same time is a bit suspicious. However, if they both have different cultivation bases, then naturally, nobody would point fingers at him.
All three bodies would meet with the intention of trying to kill each other one day. Klaus sure knows that the moment the paragon appears, both the mission hall, warrior tower, and the academy will send people like him to hunt him down.
So he practically has more time to prepare well before the three years are up.
The mission to the Jade Ant Queen’s Nest wouldn’t take more than five months, so he will be ready before then.
“Please kindly send me the details of the mission. And well, if I can get the grade of the mission, that too would be fine,” Klaus smiled, knowing he was asking for something many would run from.
Icon had already researched the planetary system that had been taken by the demons and found out the kind of danger he would be walking into.
However, to prove to Lady Ingix that he is capable and qualified to be a Unique Hunter, he asked for it verbally.
“It is an Advanced Mission, one of our top ten.”
Be it Rory or Lord Darius, all four Immortal Lords there widened their eyes when they heard what Sir Lux said.
“Manageable. All I have to do is kill their leader, and the rest will scatter,” Klaus said, making Sir Lux smile.
“That is the spirit.” He didn’t know what kind of person Klaus was, but there was absolutely no reason to doubt his resolve.
The mission is an Advanced Mission.
It can take years to complete it, but to think Klaus already has a plan on how to go about it, he knew he had made the right decision not to give up on the poor elves fighting for their dear lives.
“Rest assured, Sir Lux, I will take this mission and make sure I get it done.” Klaus turned to Rory. “There is nothing better than challenging myself to see my limits.”
“Good. I will send the details to you, and when you are ready to go, you can contact me through the dark space. I have some things to give you which I believe will aid you in the mission.”
Klaus nodded.
What better way to cement his stand and win the heart of the masses than saving an entire planetary system filled with people who had already given up hope?
After a few more talks, Klaus and Rory left. He needs to go redeem his rewards now that he has signed a unique deal with the mission hall.
“My Lord, are you certain he can handle such a mission?” Lady Ingix asked, her expression a bit shaken. She is against the idea of giving the Renegade Hunter the title of a Unique Hunter.
However, she seems a bit shaken now. Klaus had accepted a mission, knowing it was an Advanced Mission. That just doesn’t make sense to her.
That is just not how she expected Klaus to behave, not when she believed he hadn’t done anything to warrant the deal the mission hall had given him.
“Before he appeared, how many of us believed an Empyrean could face an Immortal Lord and live to tell the tale? I know I didn’t, because it doesn’t make sense. However, now I believe we all know it is possible, and he has done it.
So what is preventing him from doing it again, especially now that he has become an Immortal?” Sir Lux chuckled.
“I don’t know what you guys saw, but while you only see him as an Early Immortal, know that he had already formed an Immortal Ring.”
“WHAT,”
“That is what I saw, and trust me, that is not even the most impressive thing I saw about him. When I look into your souls, all I can see is a sea of soul energy, but when I look into his, I see a vast sea, one that stretches as far as the eye could see.
So trust me when I say this kid could either bring about big change in this universe or bring it to its knees. Either way, we need him, so we might as well support and protect him to the best of our abilities.”
They nodded, but Lady Ingix seemed a bit hesitant to accept that Klaus had already formed an Immortal Ring. In her head, she had to see it first.
Sir Lux seems to understand her thoughts, so he merely smiled.
“For now, keep the information about him accepting the mission under wraps. I will reach out to the elves and let them know that in three years, someone will come to help them.”
