The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1395: Warrior X Hunter (5)

Chapter 1395: Warrior X Hunter (5)
“Impossible…” Rouni exclaimed, his expression filled with shock.
Looking at Klaus perfectly fine after his attack was blocked left him in a state of shock. The same can be said for Supreme Elder Juo and millions of others who knew the mechanics behind the [Beast God Dominion].
Although it is a technique created by a celestial, its fame had already reached every corner of the universe.
Klaus was supposed to lose all access to his energy, which included his Immortal Rings and any other energy source. So the mere fact that he was able to activate a technique shows he wasn’t being affected by the formation.
“How can you use a technique?” Rouni asked. “That shouldn’t be possible, not while the Beast God Dominion is still active.”
Klaus smiled. “I already told you. I have attained the Oneness of the soul, mind, and body. Your technique merely blocked my access to spiritual Qi. But I still have Soul Qi and Mind Qi.
So instead of looking shocked, figure out a way to defeat me because as long as I have the Ultimate Buddha Palm technique active, all your attacks will be blocked regardless of how much energy you put into it.”
Rouni’s eyes narrowed.
He pointed up, and 100,000 arrays moved, forming into a large fang. It’s about 300 meters long and very thick. The moment it formed, Rouni turned pale. This sight made it clear he was using more than he could harness.
That was clear from the Immortal Emperor’s aura coming from the fang. Even if an Immortal Emperor were to be subjected to such a power, they would buckle under it.
The second reason why the [Beast God Dominion] technique is powerful is because of how one can dynamically form any beast construct that can harness powers far beyond their level.
Rouni is a True Immortal, but he can form an Immortal Emperor-level construct.
The fang trembled, releasing a terrifying aura that made the air grow even heavier.
Klaus harnessed his mental energy, trapping the pressure in one mind while the others worked in sync to fully understand the true mechanisms of the Beast God Dominion.
When Magnus faced the Burning Angel, he made sure he captured as many arrays as he could before he escaped. This was so that when they met again, he would have a much better chance of resisting and, if done right, breaking the formation.
Although he came close to death, he left with something.
Too bad he never got to face the Burning Angel again.
Today, it seems he has a good chance to end what he started billions of years ago.
Rouni formed a hand seal, and two Immortal Rings appeared around the fang.
At once, it changed from a mere array construct to a real beast fang, something that caused everyone watching to widen their eyes.
They had heard that the Beast God Dominion could create real items by merging mere arrays. This means if Rouni wanted, he could have turned the wolf into a real one.
Until today, they had only heard rumours. However, finally seeing it firsthand left them all in a state of shock.
Rouni gestured forward, and the space around the fang started to break. As it moved, the void trembled and shattered.
Klaus closed his eyes and clapped his hands together, muttering some complex words. Behind him, Buddha opened his palm and held it as if accepting a blessing from above.
The next second, a red and gold lotus flower appeared on his palm and started spinning. Just when the fang came within range, the lotus flower moved and met it in a thunderous collision, one that caused the void to shatter, opening its insidious maw.
A terrifying shockwave appeared, pushing Rouni back a few hundred meters. However, Klaus remained seated in the same space, still muttering those strange sentences.
“That is impossible.”
Supreme Elder Juo muttered, his expression ugly. He knew just how much Rouni had poured into his attack, yet Klaus was able to defend against it.
“Nothing is impossible, Juo,” Doom Hunter said, a smile playing on his face. “On my last hell mission, I had the privilege to face a Calamity Beast that had just reached the peak of Godhood.
Our battle lasted for 10 hours, but within those short moments, I came close to death countless times. I, a Supreme who had long mastered Supreme Qi, came close to death under the assault of a god level Calamity Beast.
That should tell you it is not always about who is strong, cultivation-wise. Sometimes, it is all about comprehension of one’s technique.”
“Doom is right,” Supreme Scholar Demel stepped in. “From what I have observed so far, it is clear that the Renegade Hunter’s comprehension ability is far superior to Rouni’s.
The mere fact that he was able to achieve Oneness of the Soul, Mind, and Body shows he had long transcended the limits of the mind, body, and soul.
I would be surprised if Rouni manages to turn this around.”
The other Supremes turned and looked at Scholar Demel.
“Are you saying the Renegade Hunter will win this battle?” Supreme Queen Mirabel asked.
“I am not saying; it is something I saw from the start of their battle. In fact, if you four have an idea of just how monstrous the defense technique he was using is, you would come to the same conclusion.”
They all became stunned.
Turning to the arena, they saw Rouni bombarding Klaus with all kinds of attacks, but at every turn, Klaus always had a defense in place.
But while that is shocking to even think about, the mere fact that Scholar Demel came to such a conclusion shocked them. It can be said that among the Supremes, he is considered the most intelligent.
He is someone who has dedicated his time to acquiring knowledge. Thanks to his success, whenever he says something, people take him seriously.
It can be said that he sees beyond what others can perceive.
So for him to come to this conclusion means he had seen something he wasn’t saying. But if what he said is indeed true, then the question would be just what kind of monster they are dealing with.
“What technique is that? I have never seen it before,” Supreme Elder Juo asked.
“For that, I can’t tell any of you. It has to do with a secret of the Monks. Not even the Supreme Monk will reveal it, so I have no business revealing it either. But what I can say is that if this kid knows this technique, then there is a chance he is related to the Monks.”
“That is…”
Everyone was left stunned, unsure of what to make of what Scholar Demel said. If Klaus is indeed related to the Monks, then perhaps he is someone from a Primordial Family.
Only they would possess such a monstrous technique.
Unbeknownst to these five Supremes, the Monks were even having a more panicked discussion. There is just no way they wouldn’t know if someone dared steal their technique.
The Ultimate Buddha Palm is one of their legacy techniques, and as long as they knew, it was locked behind a powerful restriction.
Only a few were allowed to learn it, and Klaus wasn’t one of them. So the mere fact that he could use it left them in shock.
But then again, if they had the slightest idea of the scheme Klaus was using the battle to plant in everyone’s mind, they would go down on their knees and bow to him.
Klaus has many techniques he could use, but he picked this one for a reason. A reason that will be revealed somewhere in the future.
Rouni continued to attack for an hour straight, but Klaus managed to defend against all of them. The more time passed, the more shocked everyone became.
However, after 2 hours since the Beast God Dominion appeared, something even more shocking happened.
Just when a giant horn bounced off Buddha’s palm, Klaus smiled and spoke excitedly.
“I have figured it out.”
