The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1397: Compliments from Supremes

Chapter 1397: Compliments from Supremes
The battle was over, but everyone was left in shock.
From start to finish, everything Klaus did was so shocking that it could not be explained in words. He started by proving he could have ended the battle in under ten minutes when, instead of going for the kill, he used the Time Law to stop time and paint on Rouni’s face.
Afterwards, he proved he could go toe-to-toe with a technique created by a Celestial.
While that alone was super shocking, the mind-blowing part came when he took control over the [Beast God Dominion] technique and flawlessly used it to defeat his opponent.
That was the highlight of the battle, and now, everyone was having a hard time coming to terms with everything they had seen.
But while they were in shock, Klaus was happy that the battle was finally over and that he had won. He never knew this silly battle would give him this much exposure and reward.
Away from what the Supremes brought, the mere fact that he had finally managed to win against the [Beast God Dominion] made him happy.
He never had the chance during his seventh incarnation, after his initial clash with the Burning Angel. That failure had plagued him for years.
But thanks to Rouni, he fulfilled that desire this time around.
Blue Ivy flew into the arena, a smile playing on her face. She landed before Klaus, already happy that the battle was over and that she could ask more questions.
“First of all, congratulations on your win, Renegade Hunter. You have proven yourself to everyone that indeed, you deserve all the fame and recognition you are getting.”
“Thank you, I suppose.” While he did not care much about what people thought of him, having such a platform to cement his name in every heart sure worked in his favour.
So he was grateful.
“Now, before everyone snaps my neck, I think we all want to know one thing.” She paused and turned toward the VIP room as if asking for permission to ask the question.
A few moments later, she turned back to Klaus and asked, “How did you manage to take control over the Beast God Dominion formation?”
Klaus knew that was the question she wanted to ask, so he had already prepared an answer. “Very straightforward, actually. I merely learned the arrays Rouni had mastered and created a few of my own that cut off his connection to it and gave it to me.”
“You made it sound simple, but we both know there is nothing simple about what you have just done. If I am not wrong, the arrays contained in the Beast God Dominion formation that warrior Rouni used are one million. So are you telling me you managed to learn them all within the two hours he had used it?”
Klaus chuckled. “If you put it like that, it indeed makes no sense. But that was indeed what I did. I comprehended the one million arrays in two hours. It is not that difficult if you find the pattern.”
He smiled and added, “I have to say, though, the creator of the technique is a genius. I have never seen a formation so beautiful yet complex.”
Blue Ivy gave Klaus a long and hard look before asking a silly question, “Are you even human?”
“I can assure you, Lady Blue Ivy, I am every bit human.”
She laughed. “You know, in moments like this, I find it extremely hard to believe you are actually less than 30 years old. Nobody with less than 30 years of life should be this monstrous. That just shouldn’t be possible.”
“I don’t know what to say. But I can assure you I didn’t lie about my age. As for how I accomplished all these things, I would say I have a rather powerful ability to comprehend just about anything I set my sights on.
You can even say my brain works differently from the average person’s. I can connect dots where the average person would only see lines.”
“That explains it then.” Blue Ivy seemed overwhelmed. There was just no way a normal person would not be overwhelmed thinking about all Klaus had just shown the entire Universe.
Thankfully, before she could be crushed by everything, the five Supremes appeared in the arena, their gazes locked on him. Every last one of them held a gaze that spoke volumes.
Doom Hunter was the first to speak. “Congratulations on your win, Renegade Hunter. I am happy to have a competent hunter like you on my side.”
“Thank you, and thanks for the compliment. I will do my best to further elevate the good name of the Mission Hall and every last Hunter,” Klaus replied with a smile on his face.
“Oh, I have no doubt you will.”
Supreme Engineer Winnie spoke next. “Congratulations once again, Renegade Hunter. As promised, I will allow you entry into my personal vault.” She extended her hand, and a dark key flew toward Klaus. “Whenever you are ready, come over, and I will give you a tour.”
There was more on her mind, but that could be said when Klaus came to visit. He stored the key and gave Supreme Engineer Winnie a gentle nod.
“You know I came here to have fun, but you left me in shock instead, Renegade Hunter,” Supreme Queen Mirabel said with a small giggle. “You are one of a kind, kid.”
Klaus laughed. “Glad I could impress a Supreme such as yourself.”
“Well, I sure am impressed. However, as promised, the sum of 400 billion Heaven Crystals will be wired into your account. Also, here is a Dark Key to our headquarters.
Whenever you are free, come over so I can personally give you the VIP invite to the Nine Heavens Universe Auction, which will be taking place 100 years from now.”
Klaus accepted the Dark Key and thanked Queen Mirabel, who was the current manager of the Universe Bank in the Human Universe.
Supreme Scholar Demel was next to speak. “You have surprised us all, kid. I have lived for billions of years, but I can’t say I have met someone like you before.
But now that I have, I will not want to see your talent go to waste. So, standing as a Supreme Scholar of the Dark Space Company, I would like to extend an invitation to you to join the Knowledge Tower.”
His words left the four Supremes beside him and countless others listening wide-eyed.
“You can’t be serious, Demel. The Knowledge Tower, really?” Supreme Elder Juo exclaimed, his expression turning ugly.
“What is there to question, Juo? You saw what he can do, so tell me why he doesn’t qualify to join the Knowledge Tower.”
“I think you and I both know why. But since you ask, how about I point out a few things? A few months back, I received a report that a talent had emerged in the Underworld who calls himself Blood Sword.
A few days after he emerged and even won a Blood Tournament, the Renegade Hunter also appeared. Coincidentally, both of them were at the Empyrean Stage back then.
If that isn’t enough, just five years ago, the black and red calamity smoke appeared, signifying the rebirth of the Paragon. Despite our efforts, he remained hidden.
So tell me, don’t you think this kid’s sudden rise is a bit suspicious?”
Supreme Scholar Demel tried to speak, but his words caught in his mouth. It seemed Supreme Elder Juo’s words had struck a chord with him.
And he wasn’t the only one; the rest also seemed to sense some truth in what he said.
