The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 1514 - 1514: The 5th Jade Princess

Watching as the pink-haired lady walked down, each step manifesting a lotus, Klaus’s eyes narrowed.
Suddenly, he felt a presence probing his mind, looking to send him into an illusion. Klaus knew it was the lady, and so he allowed himself to be ensnared by her.
A part of him wanted to resist, but his curiosity to see the nature of the illusion got the best of him.
His mind plunged into an illusion where he had a chain around his neck, crawling behind the pink-haired lady. Klaus didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at such a sight.
In his many lives, he had never once bowed down to anyone.
Now, inside the illusion, he was on his knees, crawling after someone he could easily kill with a single slap.
Naturally, he recognized the danger level of the pink-haired lady. For her to possess the power to push him into an illusion, she was no simple opponent.
Klaus could even tell that this wasn’t her full power yet. That alone showed what a terrifying person she was. However, Klaus, who had more than enough mental strength to resist her power, became amused when he saw the nature of the illusion.
Just then, the pink-haired lady stopped five steps away from Klaus.
Around them, everyone recognized the pink-haired lady, and so they knew Klaus had landed himself in big trouble.
“He hadn’t even registered yet and was already meeting face to face with this monster. This Klaus guy sure is a magnet for trouble.”
“Indeed. I wonder what kind of illusion he has found himself in.”
“I bet he is on his knees begging to kiss her feet. I heard the last time someone challenged her, they dropped out the next day and have since vanished from the public eye.”
“How pitiful. I was kind of looking forward to seeing more of the Renegade Hunter.”
Just as words started spreading, the pink-haired lady smiled and said to Klaus, “Free my subordinates.”
Klaus nodded and took away the Heaven’s Engine. Those who witnessed this sighed, some disappointed at how things had turned out.
In the Milky Way Academy, this lady could be considered among the top 50. She is Princess Knelly, the Fifth Jade Princess, sister to the 7th Jade Princess, whom Klaus met in the Jade Nest.
She is also the only Mind Cultivator in the academy to reach the top 50 on the academy ranking chart.
Because of her status as a Jade Princess, many respected and feared her. Making her an enemy was a death wish, and so many chose to stay far away from her or avoid speaking up against her.
As a result, she could do whatever she wanted without repercussions.
Today, just when Klaus arrived, some of the guards under her payroll informed her. She was the type of person who liked to prove herself to everyone, making sure they feared and submitted to her.
So she sent the three demigods to look for trouble with Klaus.
What she never expected was that Klaus would not only destroy her minions like they were bugs, but he would also utilize the moment to announce his arrival to the entire academy.
That was just not something she expected, and so she chose to come and handle things herself.
Watching as Klaus freed the three demigods, she smiled. In her head, Klaus had fallen under her spell, and so she could do with him whatever she wanted.
“Drop to your knees and crawl toward me.”
She commanded again. However, to her shock, Klaus didn’t even move a finger. This made her frown. However, she pressed her power further, repeating herself.
“Drop to your knees and crawl toward me.”
This time, one could sense a wisp of divine essence emanating from her body. She had touched divine qi, meaning she is already reaching the Pseudo-god unofficial stage.
Everyone expected Klaus to drop to his knees and apologize. However, what happened instead left them all staring in shock.
Klaus threw his head back and burst into uncontrollable laughter.
“Hahahahahahahaha!”
To make matters worse, he snapped his fingers and manifested three more copies of himself, each in a different posture as they laughed alongside him.
One held his stomach, his laughter echoing like thunder.
Another tried to shield his mouth but was failing miserably.
The last pointed one finger at the Princess, his laughter directed straight at her.
Everyone was left stunned, some even wondering if Klaus had lost his mind. Others wonder just what kind of monster had finally arrived at the academy.
Princess Knelly’s expression turned ashen, waves of angry sweat forming on her forehead as she watched Klaus and his three clones laugh at her.
After a few minutes, Klaus managed to reel in his laughter. He wiped the tears from his eyes and turned to his three clones.
“Thanks, guys.”
They nodded and bowed toward him before turning into smokes of air.
After they left, Klaus’s expression turned cold as he faced Princess Knelly.
“The only reason why you are still standing there without a handprint on your cheeks is that you are Princess Evren’s sister. She and I are life-and-death comrades, so because of that, I will spare you.
However, let this be the first and last time you try to play mind games with me. While killing you is out of the question simply because you are a Princess, I can make you experience a different kind of pain so horrible that you would wish death would come for you, but it never will.
I am merely here to improve my engineering abilities, so if you stay out of my way, I will stay out of yours. Of course, if you want to die, be sure to challenge me to a deathmatch. I am sure killing you there would be well within my rights, and not even the Jade Queen could penalize me.”
After saying that, a tattoo on his left arm glowed, and a red leviathan roared to life, exuding the power of ice, only that this ice carried a tyrannical aura.
Klaus jumped onto its back and turned to Eiko. “Let’s go, Eiko. There is nothing left for me here.”
The petite lady nodded and jumped onto the back of the leviathan.
Klaus looked at Princess Knelly, who was left frozen in place, all kinds of emotions bubbling within her chest.
“Send them to the infirmary. I am sure in six months’ time they will be as good as new, this time with enough respect toward me.” Klaus’s eyes narrowed as he added, “While I cannot kill you, the same cannot be said for them.”
After saying that, the colossal leviathan, which nobody knew where it had come from, flew away, heading toward a building about two million miles away, with Klaus and Eiko standing on its back.
Within a few seconds, they were gone from the scene, many finally regaining their composure.
When they did, murmurs began to spread, many wondering just what had happened. One moment, Princess Knelly had Klaus under her spell. Next, she was the center of his mockery.
As many began to digest the situation, it soon became clear to them that, from the very start, Klaus had never been under her spell.
In fact, he had been fully conscious the entire time and had only acted that way to mock her later.
This only added to the shock when people finally understood something critical.
“Renegade Hunter is no simple warrior at all. At this rate, I think he can be counted among the top 20 of the academy.”
“Top 20? I think he qualifies for the top 10.”
“Damn, I wonder if he would be willing to partner with me and the others when the Genesis Dungeon opens.”
News of Klaus’s arrival, accompanied by his domineering entrance, soon spread across the academy and the rest of the universe, with many wondering if the time had finally come for the Milky Way Academy to reclaim its number-one spot in the entire universe.
