The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse - Chapter 735 - 735: Klaus's Fury (1)

Boom
Klaus burst through the roof of the building where they were having the meeting, spreading his lightning wings as he vanished from sight, leaving only lightning trails.
“What is happening?” General Eric asked, watching the broken roof.
“A Tier 11 beast has appeared,” Queen Lunara answered before taking to the skies and going after Klaus.
Just now, the satellites belonging to the Moon Borns picked up the signature of a Tier 11 beast inside Monsterland. It had just appeared out of nowhere, so they contacted her.
Thankfully, she was already there and ready to take action.
What she never expected, however, was how Klaus behaved when the shockwave washed over him. At that moment, he became different, making her wonder what had happened to him.
“No need to despair; sound the alarms, for a tide might find its way here,” Queenie said and then turned to Old Lu. “Organize the team and let them fight in a controlled area now.
You, the Instructors, and the high-ranking soldiers should ensure the big guns are held back. Lucy will take care of the control of the rest of the team.”
Old Lu nodded. He then ran off to Klaus’s team, calling everyone out. Nari and Queenie also left. In just a few seconds, the camp was now standing guard with weapons ready for whatever danger might come their way.
Klaus sped to the location where the shockwave originated. However, he stopped when he arrived at a scene of pure carnage.
Twelve Tier 10 snake beasts lay dead on the ground, their bodies frozen in ice. Ahead, he saw a colossal pink snake—a rather majestic one—curled on the ground with its body covered in a metallic coating.
Blood was seeping out of multiple cuts littering its body.
It seemed to be protecting something. So despite getting bombarded by attacks from the Tier 11 Snake, it continued to protect whatever was on the ground.
However, the attacks were just too powerful, so what it was protecting came into view when the gray-haired half-snake, half-human attacked, sending the pink snake flying.
In its place, an incredibly beautiful silver snake, about a meter long, was left on the ground. The moment Klaus’s eyes landed on this snake, a sense of familiarity washed over him.
“Pickle Berry,” he muttered absentmindedly.
Then his anger surfaced when the gray-haired snake aimed her sword at the baby snake.
“You dare!”
Klaus’s voice boomed as he summoned his spirit weapons, filling the air with thousands of them.
The gray-haired snake lady, who was going after the silver snake, jumped back as a giant sword descended from the air, blocking the path between her and the baby snake.
The sword was about six meters tall and two meters wide, and when it landed on the ground, it created a powerful shockwave that pushed the snake lady back.
Klaus landed on the sword with thousands of weapons behind him. His eyes were red, and the aura radiating from him began to freeze the already frozen ground.
“Human. What are you doing, interfering in my business?” the snake lady said, pointing her weapon at Klaus.
In response, Klaus gestured forward, and his spirit weapons moved, raining down on the Void-stage snake lady.
When the weapons came close, she stepped back, as the void cracked, swallowing her.
This allowed her to evade all of Klaus’s attacks, which was rather convenient for fighting against someone who could command that many weapons.
The next second, she appeared above Klaus and was about to unleash an attack when a powerful flame arc appeared behind her, sending her flying down.
Up in the air, the void cracked, and Queen Lunara, now clad in black and red armor, appeared, wielding a scythe.
Hiss
The snake lady hissed but stood up and was about to open the void again when she heard Klaus’s cold voice.
“You will die today.”
The moment he said that, he formed a hand seal, and up in the air, a golden circle appeared and began to expand.
Feeling her control over the void growing unstable, the snake lady knew she had to leave. However, before she could act, a voice spoke from the clouds.
“Phoenix Piercing Arrow!”
A flaming arrow arrived from the air, forcing her to step back. Up in the sky, Nari made her presence known.
The snake lady narrowed her eyes as she moved back. But as she did, another voice spoke.
“Asura Blood Domain.”
The ground burst open, and a sea of blood gushed out, forcing the snake lady to retreat once more. Up ahead, Queenie also arrived.
She and Nari stood side by side—Queenie clad in pure red armor, and Nari in black and gold. In Queenie’s hand is a blood-red long sword, and in Nari’s a golden red majestic Pheonix Bow.
Klaus turned and looked at the three. And even though he was angry, a smile appeared on his lips.
At the same time, the demon-killing circle was complete. Within its four-mile radius, the Level 8 Tier 11, like the snake lady, could no longer use the Void.
That is the power of the Demon Killing Circle.
Klaus didn’t immediately attack. Instead, he turned toward the heavily injured pink snake and spoke.
“Take her away. I will find you after she is dead.”
The pink snake nodded, carefully carrying the silver snake with her. Just now, she knew that had it not been for Klaus, her daughter would have been killed.
So as a beast, she knew who to trust and when to obey commands in such situations.
Klaus watched them go, and he sighed once they were out of sight.
Then, he turned back to the snake lady.
“I have lived many lives and fought many battles, but…” Klaus said as his clothes were enveloped in a purple, leather-like armor.
“I have killed millions and struck fear into many hearts.” He extended his hand, and a blood-red saber appeared within it.
“They called me many names and gave me many labels, but I have only one name.” His eyes shifted from red to black, and a dark aura began rising from his body.
At the moment, a part of his Unknown Bloodline, which he inherited from Fruity, began to stir. That part of it is made of death, for the 25 circles of death he went through while awakening the bloodline, just lay dormant for now.
But his emotions have stirred a small part of it.
The three women watching felt their blood run cold. Hearing his words was like hearing the voice of death itself.
The aura around him was that of death. Not simply an imitation—but death itself, manifesting. Klaus, at that moment, no longer resembled a Great Sage.
No, his aura belonged to someone at the Peak of the Ascendant Stage.
But the moment the Lightning Source Diagram appeared behind him, his aura exploded to the Void Stage, shocking all four Void Stages within the Demon-Killing Circle.
“The heavens frown on my name. But I shall be known by all, and my name shall remain known to all.”
He raised his saber, splitting it into two as their edges curved slightly.
“The heavens have cursed my name… but I do not bow.”
“Let it be known, across all realms, across all time—”
“I am the Paragon. Master of the Nine Paragon Stars.”
The heavens roared to life as Klaus charged toward their messenger, their executioner, who was meant to kill a part of Klaus’s destiny, one he used against them millions of years ago.
Klaus was furious.
And that meant only one thing—
A heaven-shattering battle was about to begin.
