The Martial Unity - Chapter 3292: Surviving

Chapter 3292: Surviving
East Genora shook as matter-antimatter annihilation reactions unleashed an onslaught of destruction unlike almost anything that Rui had ever faced in his life. The sheer unfathomable surge of energy and the maelstrom of power that it unleashed were so great that his durability, defense, and regeneration were pushed to the very limit.
RUMBLE!!!!!!
A wave of radiation, unlike anything he had ever experienced before, washed over him, threatening to fry him alive. If not for his space-time manipulation to redirect as much of it as possible.
It was more materia prima than he had ever seen.
The only other time he had ever sensed such an absurd energy intensity was when he fought the eldritch chimera.
RUMBLE!!!!!!
“Rgh!!!” Rui gritted his teeth as he flew up as much as possible, trying his best to evade as much as possible.
He didn’t stand a chance against surviving the full extent of the unfathomable power that his gu inadvertently released, thus he did his absolute best to minimize his exposure to it.
RUMBLE!!!!!!
And even then, the energy took its toll on him.
His skin burned off as the boundless heat overwhelmed him.
Under other circumstances, his invintium armor would have been more than enough to protect his skin and his body from it, but he had already used up all his primordial seed just barely surviving the ambush that the light elves had subjected him to.
His Weaving Blood technique worked over time as he focused on mitigating the damage and protecting his vitals as much as he could.
Much to his shock, the destructive energy that he had unleashed only rose upward, rather than outward.
’Goddamn energy-absorbing trees!’ he realized.
The Gu had only wiped out half of the titanic region that the light elves had cultivated to serve as an execution ground for him. Perhaps if it were Asmodeous, he would have been able to wipe out the entire forest with ease, but Rui wasn’t able to spread it as much without its potency diluting too much.
The light elves, on the other hand, tried their best at getting a second shot at annihilating him in one go. They didn’t know how he could possibly emerge unharmed the first time around, but there was no way that someone could possibly be invincible enough to continue sustaining such destructive assaults over and over.
And they were right.
RUMBLE…
By the time the flood of materia prima ended, Rui’s figure was still largely in one piece, situated thousands of kilometers in the night skies.
He was far from unharmed, however.
“Huff… huff… huff…” he desperately gasped for air as plumes of thick, black smoke emerged from him.
The burned odor of eviscerated flesh hung in the air around him as an unfathomable amount of pain flooded his nervous system.
He gritted his teeth, activating Final Breathing, as he diverted all his resources to Weaving Blood.
His skin and flesh were burned off, exposing the blood-red muscles and bones within. Weaving Blood was extremely fast, but not even it could heal such damage in the blink of an eye.
In fact, if not for the combined power of the Blood of Solaris and the blood evolution process, he would have undoubtedly died in that explosion. It was only thanks to the national treasure of the Solaris Kingdom, the cutting-edge blood treatment of the Blood Cult, that Weaving Blood began to swiftly restore his outer flesh and his skin.
Naturally, the light elves weren’t just willing to simply stand by and watch him recuperate.
’How could he have possibly survived that!’
’This demon…! I hate to admit it, but he’s truly strong!’
’Attack!’ Mother Mara’s tone was urgent. ’The fact that he’s that injured compared to last time is proof that he has limits! Keep attacking!’
RUMBLE!!!
The entire forest shook as the trees and woods expanded greatly upwards, reaching thousands and thousands of kilometers high in the night sky. While many would have assumed that elves were not good at aerial combat due to the fact that trees were limited to land, many would have found themselves entirely mistaken.
Elven biotechnology allowed them as much dominion in aerial combat as conventional technology.
In some cases, they were even superior.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!
The Mothers of Nature combined their power as they supplied a tremendous amount of cognition and power, using their mighty bodies and minds to try and corner and defeat Rui as quickly and soundly as possible.
Unfortunately for them, Rui was not that easy to defeat.
Even as countless branches crashed into him, they merely struck into empty images.
WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!
Rui’s eyes sharpened with determination as he weaved across the skies with greater and greater precision and accuracy.
His predictive model on them only grew, although the same could be said for the predictive model that the light elves had on him. The difference was that the Prophecy of the Void was not a simple addition between the Eye of Prophecy and the VOID algorithm.
It was closer to a multiplication of their predictive power.
A small increase in the power of the predictive model led to a much larger proportional increase in the overall predictive power of the Prophecy of the Void. On top of all of that, Rui even decided to use both the true Eye of Prophecy and the lesser technique that was taught to Martial Artists below the rank of Martial Sage.
He was willing to sacrifice his lifespan to increase his probability of victory. Given that he was functionally immortal, it didn’t hurt him in any way and was worth the boost. These factors, along with Neo Godspeed at its fullest, allowed him to evade the virtually infinite attacks that converged on him.
Out of all of the possible billions of choices he could make, his powerful mind honed in on the handful that didn’t lead to a losing battle.
The onslaught lasted long, and yet, it eventually began slowing down.
