The Martial Unity - Chapter 3332: The Giant Invasion

Chapter 3332: The Giant Invasion
RUMBLE!!!
The eastern-most point of East Genora began shaking violently in the darkness of night. The coast of the continent was ravaged by destructive tsunamis that threatened to wipe out all life for kilometers to come as a giant wave of water erupted from the Mirtic Ocean.
“Defend nature!”
“Protect our land!”
“Save our people!”
The light elves roared as they rushed into action, manipulating nature to their will as the forests and flora of the continent moved into action, intercepting the giant waves of water.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
RUMBLE!!!!!
The flooding and tsunami-mitigation flora systems of the continent were activated as the light elves manipulated nature to absorb the water and redirect it back into the oceans harmlessly.
This way, the tsunami’s invasion into the continent was minimized.
Each meter it moved inland made for a substantial reduction in its overall power and strength, until it had nothing left, reduced to a gentle splash.
And yet, the tsunamis were not their real enemies.
STEP
One light older light elf arrived at the edge of the continent, at its coast, glaring into the eerie darkness of night with a fierce expression.
“Here they come.”
From within the depths of the water, giants slowly emerged as they began moving towards the continent, walking on the sea floor. Giants possessed the ability to breathe underwater, making the water a very welcoming place for them.
They conducted their invasion at night shortly after dusk, for they knew that the light elves were at their weakest during this period as they were most distant from the Sun.
Chills crawled across the skin of many spectating light elves as they watched a giant army of giants emerging from within the ocean as they moved closer and closer towards the continent.
’Attack.’ The voice of a Mother of Nature echoed in their heads. ’Do not let those filthy, primitive giants set foot on our pristine haven. I will aid you in their destruction, so do not let a single one of them get any closer.’
The light elves didn’t need any more telling.
“ATTACK!” the light elf commander roared. “DESTROY THE GIANTS!”
They bent nature to their will as they manipulated their flora technology to unleash an onslaught of destructive attacks, threatening to annihilate the giants even as they grew closer and closer to land.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!
Wooden missiles and root attacks surged towards the giants, threatening to ravage them with raw power. The explosive flora projectiles detonated the moment they made contact with anything, illuminating the dark sea with great destructive power.
However, the water absorbed most of the energy that they unleashed, leaving the actual damage inflicted on the giant somewhat lackluster.
The root attacks, on the other hand, proved to be a greater impediment. The root of the forest on the coast of the continent dug through land before emerging into the sea and wrapping around the giants, trying to impede, crush, and even suffocate them underwater.
Yet, the giants possessed the greatest raw physicality on the continent, almost incomparable to any other race in the true world.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!
The world shook as they blasted the wood, ripping it off their body with great force and power.
The light elves gritted their teeth. “Attack attack attack! Don’t let them get anywhere near our nature!”
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!
The giants slowed down, dealing with fierce resistance from the light elves who already had layers of security and defense prepared for occasional skirmishes.
Nothing this intense in recent history, however.
It allowed the giants to make progress as they finally overcame resistance and managed to set foot on Genora.
THUD
RUMBLE…
A single step they took sent tremors across the lands beneath their feet despite the seismic radiation absorption system of the flora.
Their appearances were overwhelmingly intimidating.
Their eyes flared with a feral hunger.
A primal predatory instinct.
THUD
THUD
THUD
THUD
THUD
Each step they took inspired fear in anybody who beheld their full form up close. The light elves were already in a bad state of mind with the death of Mother Mara just ten days ago and the divorce between the light and dark halves of elven civilization.
They had also suffered a great loss in self-confidence due to the absolute failure to kill the demon of death.
They had regarded themselves as virtually all-powerful within their own territory.
And yet, a single human from the Panama Continent had shown them just how delusional that perception of self was. Not only had he survived and defended himself against the destructive onslaught that the light elves unleashed upon him, but he emerged largely victorious and escaped from them after killing one of their greatest leaders, leaving an agonizing wound on all light elves.
The most disturbing was the fact that they had yet to find him, even when they were certain that he was still within the continent, shattering the illusion of absolute power and control they had within the borders of their territory.
This psychological vulnerability stalled their reactions, causing them to act suboptimally against the giants invading their territory.
BOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
With a single wave of his hand, the giant at the very forefront of the invading force unleashed a destructive gale of wind against the light elves and into the forest as the giants unleashed a closer-quarters offensive into the edge of elven territory.
RUMBLE!!!
“Rgh…! Defend our lands!”
“Protect our nature!”
“Destroy the giants!”
Yet, it was the sight of giants consuming their forest with a voracious apetite and a feral hunger that truly broke many light elves.
They could sense what they perceived as pain and distress from the flora that the giants consumed, scarring their already frayed emotions a they struggled to push back the giants that began invading Genoran territory deeper and deeper.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
Out of nowhere, a giant root blasted into the giants, crushing them under it.
’I will not allow you primitive cavemen to consume our lands,’ A Mother of Nature sternly declared.
And yet, the battle was hardly over.
CRACK CRACK CRACK!
The root slowly elevated as the giants underneath lifted it with all their might.
BADUMP!
The giant at the very center began shining with a bright, red light as it activated the Giant Heart, gaining a tremendous flood of power.
RUMBLE!!!!!
