The Martial Unity - Chapter 3368: Harmonious Coexistance

Chapter 3368: Harmonious Coexistance
The journey to the Grigolia was long in and of itself, taking many days as they passed through the Altic Ocean between West Genora and Moridia, which covered a large area. Even at a fast pace on water, Rui and Amare still took days to get there, taking a break on whatever patch of land they could find whenever they needed a rest stop.
It reminded them of the days during the Era of Darkness when they traveled the Panama Continent to ensure that the Solution of Harmony was realized, getting to learn more about each other as they slowly fell in love with each other.
The voyage through the true world proved to be a different stage in their story, having already been through a lot with each other.
The physical journey itself was not that difficult.
Rui and Amare could have accelerated it considerably if they went all-out, of course. But Rui didn’t want to end up sleeping excessively if he didn’t need to, especially together where they were completely vulnerable.
One of the reasons that their journey took longer than it normally would was the Moridia Continent.
Home to the Evolutionary Army.
The Army occupied the part of the continent that faced the Panama Continent and the Hlakaschken Trade Empire, making it risky to get too close.
Rui had learned his lesson about getting too full of himself with the light elves.
These civilizations were incredibly powerful, and they had enough power to kill him if they ever got the opportunity. That was why Rui and Amare had to take a longer path, curving away from Moridia even if it meant a much longer journey.
What would have been a month-long journey at a high pace took six weeks.
But soon enough, they drew closer.
“So many ships…” Rui murmured with an eager tone. “We must be getting close.”
The bright light of the afternoon Sun illuminated the entire ocean, allowing him to see fleets of what appeared to be massive cargo ships hauling enormous supplies from all over the world.
There were enormous numbers of cruisers that carried great numbers of people in their vessels to and from the Hlakaschken Trade Empire.
“There, you can see it!” Amare grew excited. “You can see Grigolia Island.”
Of course, even though it was called an ’island,’ it was still larger than any landmass on Earth. It was just smaller compared to the titanic six, now seven, continents.
Even from a hundred kilometers away, with just the barest smudges of land emerging from beneath the horizon, one could see exactly what kind of country the Hlakaschken Trade Empire was.
Rui could make out gigantic port harbors the likes of which he had never seen before anywhere, not even in the Kandrian Empire. Even the naval and marine expansions that the Kandrian Empire had undergone during the Beast Incursion in the Era of Darkness could not compare to the absurd lengths that the Hlakaschken Trade Empire went to accommodate all vessels.
The trade harbors resembled a cell with spikes sticking out of its cell walls.
Each trade harbor had a massive engineered extension sticking out nearly a kilometer into the sea. The ships would sail into the grip, before turning and halting at it with the front of the ship facing it, before it was fastened to the port extension.
It created more space for more ships to be docked.
“…It’s like a massive parking garage for ships,” Rui remarked with an impressed tone. “I can’t imagine how many ships are coming to it every day if they had to go so out of their way to create more space to dock ships safely.”
Given how many ships he could see coming and going to and from it every single minute, he was certain that the number ranged in thousands, if not tens of thousands, of ships each day, given how large the island was.
Perhaps even more.
That was how large the true world was.
“Come, let’s go,” Rui remarked. “Also, use some misdirection or self-hypnosis to hide as much of your power as possible. I can’t have regular people freaking out on us when we get there. I don’t want to cause a scene.”
She nodded.
Both of their presences dimmed greatly.
Space and time no longer bent under the weight of their existence as some of the most powerful Martial Sages in existence.
One could almost mistake them for a travel couple madly in love with each other.
Which wasn’t far from the truth.
“Now then…” Rui’s eyes lit up. “Let’s see what this country is all about.”
They immediately made their way to land, admiring the many great ships that passed to and from the country.
Soon enough, they finally arrived at the harbor, walking on water.
Amare held her breath as they reached within the field of vision of the busy crowds in the Hlakaschken Trade Empire.
What they saw was moving.
Countless different people of different races intermingled in a busy harbor morning without any visible distinction. It was easy to spot natives from the visitors; the latter wore more regular, practical clothes for a day of work, while many of the visitors wore more formal clothing.
Yet, the distinction in race seemed to melt, at least within the natives.
They saw elves use wood manipulation to dock and fasten ships to the bay while underwater, women who were half-human, half-fish moved to help position them correctly underwater.
Dwarves and tekvores technicians maintained the technological systems of the harbor extension systems, while even giants, much to Rui and Amare’s shock, helped with their incredible manual labor services, easily moving all cargo in one fell swoop. Even the evolutionaries appeared to peacefully co-exist with the others, enjoying the ocean breeze and the bright light of the morning Sun as they worked.
Rui’s mind sense stretched out, sensing all their emotions.
It was hardly paradise, but he sensed a degree of harmony between workers and people of different races who worked together in the Hlakaschken Trade Empire.
