The Martial Unity - Chapter 3496: Destructive Consequences

Chapter 3496: Destructive Consequences
Water was an extraordinarily great conductor of force and pressure, as most liquids were. The sheer power that the Dragon Emperor had generated was bled by the ocean, but in turn bled the ocean too, causing tremendously powerful waves of pressure to surge across the ocean waters.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The entirety Great Void Ocean shook as titanic tsunamis stretching nearly a hundred kilometers in height emerged from within the gigantic ocean, spreading in all directions with a terrifying momentum. The gigantic wave of water swept above the ocean, surging towards the exterior coasts of the six continents, threatening to thoroughly wipe out half of all life upon their surface.
They would have, too, if not for the seismic and aquatic energy absorption systems of the powerhouse civilizations in the true world. These were civilizations that had long exceeded the threshold of Type-one on the Kardashev Scale. They had harnessed the energy of their native world to a high extent. The elves were certainly number one when it came to this, but the other civilizations weren’t particularly ineffective either.
Their powerful subterranean and submarine seismic and aquatic energy absorption system got to work. The elves of Genora mobilized their aquatic flora and aquatic root systems to absorb kinetic energy from water at voracious rates.
The dwarves relied on simple pascalian principles of pressure to use the power of floods and tsunamis to drive up a powerful barrier that could withstand the force of the incoming water.
The giants couldn’t be bothered; even a tsunami that powerful couldn’t harm them. Their innate biology was so powerful and diverse that they could easily deal with what was effectively just a little splatter of water to them.
The tekvores relied on a complex system of cyborg hydroponics to harness the water in internal channels that put the water through countless hydro turbines to drain them of power for use, protecting themselves from the flood and gaining direct electrical energy from it.
The evolutionaries had the least finesse about it, barring the giants, and essentially relied on an energy shield to protect themselves from the powerful flood.
The marine clans of Kiriket deployed their power to quell the part of the destructive wave that sought to wipe out the north-western part of their continent.
The many, many other smaller nations in the world, both within and outside the continent, weren’t as developed as the six superpowers of the world, but had been able to deal with weakened tsunamis that came thereafter.
The only continent that didn’t have to deal with the tsunami was none other than the Panama Continent. By the time the wave got to the continent at the very epicenter of the world, it had lost all of its power, bled by the six continents that acted like a protective shield.
With just a single attack, Lord Shenlong had thrown the world into disarray.
Such was the power of the Dragon Emperor.
And yet, not even that attack was enough to so much as even push Rui.
BANG!
Rui guarded against the powerful jab as it flung him far away underwater. It was difficult to find leverage with his feet on the ground due to his weight being negated, causing friction to be wholly insufficient.
On top of that, the Dragon Emperor’s words were true.
He was indeed still adapting to his new environment. Over the ten days that he had spent preparing for his battle with the Dragon Emperor, he had prepared for a battle deep underwater, and the reason for that was very simple.
When Rui had studied the Dragon Emperor with the Tree of Life enlightenment, he realized that one of the most antithetical environments to the Dragon Emperor was actually water. While it wasn’t as antithetical as a personal domain that robbed him of his radiation with substances that could absorb radiation extremely well, it was perfect considering that Rui didn’t need to spend energy on creating a domain; he could just rely on a natural environment.
The water drowned his flames, dulled his radiation, while the pressure crushed his giant body, exposing him to far more force than Rui’s smaller body was. On top of that, his own gravitational field worked against him, causing all the water to be attracted to him, further multiplying the force that he experienced greatly.
Rui had no doubt that he was suffering tremendously at the deepest depths of the Great Void Ocean.
However, that didn’t mean that Rui had it easy.
He countered the pressure crushing down on him from the outside with a technique specifically created to cancel it.
It relied on the principle that a lot of lifeforms used to survive the crushing depths of the ocean.
Internal pressure.
All terrestrial creatures had internal pressure to cancel out the external pressure of their environments, including humans. All Rui had to do was increase the amount of internal pressure that his body generated with a Sage-level technique that made use of the Martial Soul.
He used the principles of yin and yang vibrations to get his body to produce more pressure through internal sound.
The only downside was that it took away from his Yin-Yang Spear technique, but it allowed him to entirely negate the pressure crushing down on him through his internal adaptive evolution.
Suddenly, the pressure was gone.
He might as well have been floating in space.
“Huff…” He inhaled a deep breath, using another technique, Water Breathing, to draw oxygen out of the water without letting it enter his lungs. “Perfect…”
His glowing red eyes shifted to the Dragon Emperor, who chased after him despite being in an environment where he suffered. His reptilian, yellow eyes were filled with greed for Rui’s power.
In that moment, consuming Rui had become a drive that exceeded his sense of self-preservation.
“I will feast on your flesh if it’s the last thing I do.”
His voice was a rumbling roar.
It spread through the waters around them.
Through the entirety of the Great Void Ocean.
It spread through the entire world.
The entirety of Gaia heard his declaration as the battle between the Dragon Emperor and Dawnbringer had only just begun.
