The Martial Unity - Chapter 3562: Shifting Priorities

Chapter 3562: Shifting Priorities
Wormhole technology needed negatron matter and a lot of energy.
The true world had the latter while the Panama Continent had the former.
Now, however, with the negatron mines and vents, the true world also got its hand on negatron matter. The Panama Continent, on the other hand, did not receive a lot of energy.
“We don’t have a Dyson Sphere around the Sun. And even with Suneater returning to Gaia for unknown reasons, we will not be able to protect our Dyson Sphere from him, even if we try to take over the empty spot, which is why none of the other civilizations have tried claiming the empty space. We wouldn’t be able to beat everybody to it, either. In other words…”
Emperor Rael’s expression grew grave. “We need to compensate for our lack of energy. Exotic matter definitely helps, but that was already countered by their extraordinarily advanced conventional technology. We need to get our hands on as much negatron matter. More than all of them, otherwise we will not be able to maintain any kind of lead in the race to space to monopolize a part of our space to compensate for our shortcomings.”
He directed a pointed gaze towards Rui. “We need you to remain in the Great Void Ocean and ensure that we can monopolize as much territory as possible at the bottom of the ocean.”
Rui fell into thought with a serious expression. “I had plans to travel to the dwarves and the evolutionaries, though.”
The Emperor of Harmony shook his head. “I would like to request you to put those aside for now. We have too much of a dire need for you.”
Rui’s expression grew complicated. “…I can compromise to an extent. Thankfully, I have mastered intercontinental teleportation, so I can go back and forth between continents and the Great Void Ocean.”
Emperor Rael frowned. “Yes, but NOVA and the other strongest pathwalkers will not be doing that. We will need to you to maintain a strong presence in the Great Void Ocean.”
“How about this?” Rui raised his hands. “I can promise to spend half a day with the Panamic Alliance’s expansion into the ocean. And if we are ever attacked by a top-ten powerhouse, then I will teleport back immediately.”
The Emperor of Harmony fell into thought as he pondered Rui’s words. “That’s manageable. Your teleportation mastery is highly convenient.”
It allowed Rui extreme mobility, allowing him to move back and forth between the Great Void Ocean and wherever he wanted to go within moments.
“Where do you intend to go next?” The Emperor of Harmony raised an eyebrow.
“…Probably to the continent of Moridia or Sirinwel next,” Rui replied. “I’m eager to get a taste of those paths and see if I can apply them to my Martial Path.”
The Emperor of Harmony frowned. “Weren’t you going to try and master the Beast Path first?”
Rui shook his head. “That was my plan, but I decided against it. I had the wrong idea in mind with the six paths. My Martial Path is not centered around assimilative evolution, unlike a certain someone, I should not go around trying to ram any and everything into my Martial Art with the hopes that it is compatible with Adaptive Evolution.”
Rui had come to this realization with the Enlightenment of Water that he had gained against the Dragon Emperor.
He had neglected water, the physical manifestation and material embodiment of his Martial Path in the real world, and had chosen to try to master other paths first.
It was the height of foolishness.
It was no wonder that Jormungandr had gotten upset with him and his choices.
“Now that I’ve become a Transcendent Candidate, I’ve realized the folly of my old plan,” Rui admitted. “I don’t think I’m going to run around trying to integrate anything and everything into my Martial Path anymore. Instead, I’m going to get back to my long list of actual priorities that I’ve put off for some time now.”
Project Evolutionary with Anthea’s living cell. Project PluriBody with esoteric substances and materials. Chaos. Not to mention the countless possibilities introduced by negatron matter alone.
“These are more important than trying to brainlessly cram beasts into my Martial Path,” Rui remarked. “The biggest issue is that I let myself get dazzled by the six paths, and for now that the excitement from the true world has finally worn off for me, I think I will focus on what is truly important for my path to Transcendence.”
That was Rui’s greatest focus for the time being.
The path to Transcendence was the most important matter to him. This made him eager to go to Moridia to spend time with the good evolutionary nations that were resisting the Evolutionary Army. He could go to them and try to master the cell of Anthea that he had resurrected.
“I also needed to meet up with the Divine Doctor for that; he will know what I need to do to become an evolutionary hybrid.”
The Emperor of Harmony winced at those words. He was not fond of the notion of his son becoming half-evolutionary in order to tap into Anthea’s power. But he had no right to try and tell Rui what to do when it came to his Martial Path and Martial Art, he already knew that his son would not listen to anybody else on the matter.
“Well, that settles it then,” his father declared. “You will lead our forces to dominance in the Great Void Ocean and make sure that we become the most negatron-rich nation in the world, while you spend the rest of your time in whichever continent you want. The next six months to a year is going to be the most important part in the development trajectory of Gaian civilization. The Esoterist and the Astromind have completed their development projects for all space infrastructure thanks to the manifold, and we have already begun manufacturing and producing our own space stations, space mining crafts, and spaceships. Once we have enough negatron matter…”
The Emperor of Harmony grew more serious.
“The entire world will leap for the stars all at once.”
