The Martial Unity - Chapter 3600: Mingling Elves

Chapter 3600: Mingling Elves
Even as the forces of Greater Tekvoria drew closer and closer towards the Kandrian Empire, the Bournvyrne Empire had already made a decision and an announcement.
[The Bournvyrne Empire welcomes a military security agreement with the Panamic Alliance in exchange for territory in the Great Void Ocean and compensation for losses suffered therein. The Empire looks forward to conferring with the Panamic Alliance, finalizing an agreement, and signing in a short period of time and immediately commencing its commitments to the Panamic Alliance to the fullest degree once it has been given what it seeks from this agreement.]
Essentially, the dwarves announced that they were willing to go to war with NOVA once they got access to negatron matter. This announcement came to the delight of the Emperor of Harmony and the dismay of NOVA who had hoped that her aggression and belligerence would serve as a deterrence to anybody who dared to side with the Panamic Alliance.
It also moved the true world, which was still shaken by the sheer pace at which such shocking events had unfolded. Nations found themselves almost dizzy at the rate at which the world was actively changing.
Only five days had passed since the battle between the Dragon Emperor and Rui Quarrier.
Since then, profoundly deep and dangerous cracks at the bottom of the Great Void Ocean had unfolded, causing a shocking phenomenon of surfacing negatron matter from deep within the depths of the planet to emerge, which lead to the most urgent and fastest aquatic mining mobilization in the history of Gaia where all forces rushed to the bottom of the Great Void Ocean.
As if that wasn’t shocking enough, Rui then invaded the ocean with an army of sea monsters that once again completely flipped the board and sent the world into tumult, followed by his father making a stunning geopolitical move that would rewrite power blocs and alliances and interest groups.
The NOVA invasion escalated the maelstrom to an intercontinental war, and with the immediate agreement from the dwarves of the Bournvyrne Empire, it was all but fated to escalate to a world war.
Amid all this turbulence, the continent of Genora had its own silent and secret diplomatic face-off.
Within the deepest depths of the Greater Genoran Flora Network, every single Mother of Nature on the continent convened together. The dark elves and the light elves had broken off their networks from each other after the latter betrayed the former, but the Mothers of Nature were beyond such limitations.
They could spawn their own networks and nexuses with others of their kind if they truly wanted to.
And they did.
A whopping one hundred and ninety-nine Mothers of Nature gathered in a metaphorical meeting.
In an infinite white mental plane, the dark elven Mothers of Nature gathered on one side while the light elven Mothers of Nature gathered on the other side.
The eldest Mothers of Nature gathered at the forefront of their respective groups, with Mother Vyia and Maeria taking the lead.
“My dear sister,” Mother Maeria began with a calm, friendly tone as her emerald eyes twinkled with a friendly light. “It has truly been a long, long time since we spoke face to face.”
Mother Vyia calmly replied. “Indeed, it has, Elder Sister Maeria. I am happy to speak with not just you but all of my other sisters in the east, estranged as we may be.”
The leaders of the two groups had a more friendly disposition with each other than the other Mothers of Nature had with each other.
“Estranged, indeed.” Mother Maeria heaved a deep breath of regret. “Today, I come here to express my sorrow for the deterioration of a bond between sisters. Trust once lost may never return, but I hope that we can come together and one day restore what was. Sisters forgive each other precisely because they are sisters, do they not?”
“Sisters also do not betray each other,” Mother Vyia replied with a composed tone. “We cherished our relationship with our sisters, until they betrayed our trust, undermined our sovereignty, and attacked our guest, threatening our interests all out of their personal spite for one person. I recognize your sincerity. But unfortunately, sincerity alone is unable to restored shattered trust. Perhaps in the future, but for today, we remain estranged.”
Her words firmly shut down any possibility of a reconciliation between either side. Of course, Mother Maeria understood that while Mother Vyia, her dear sister, likely personally sought to reconcile, the simple fact of the matter was that most dark elves were deeply displeased by what their sisters in the east had done.
The wounds had not healed, and thus it was premature for their civilizations to reconcile. A reconciliation in spirit and sentiment needed to long precede any formal reconciliation.
“Your words are wise, dear sister.” Mother Maeria silently acquiesced to her little sister’s message. “Today, however, we convene for a different reason than merely the topic of the relationship between our civilizations. The simple fact of the matter is that the world is changing and is changing fast.”
Her tone grew heavier.
“War is on the rise.”
The expressions of the various Mothers of Nature curdled at those words. The elves hated conflict instinctively; it was harmful to flora and to nature. They only ever did it in self-defense.
Even in the depths of the Great Void Ocean, the dark elves did not actually initiate or even participate in conflict that much due to the fact that their roles had been defined to mostly focus on mining. They were most equipped for it out of therianthropes and the Panamanians.
Now, however, an intercontinental and even a world war seemed entirely inevitable.
“Even if we do not reconcile, the wisdom of some arrangement of cooperation is surely not beyond all of you and all of us,” Mother Maeria continued with a careful tone. “We do not have to earn each other’s forgiveness and affection in order to recognize that we need to work together for our mutual interests of safety and secondary interests such as negatron matter.”
