The Martial Unity - Chapter 3646: A Rising Network of Kindred Spirits

Chapter 3646: A Rising Network of Kindred Spirits
Rui nodded with a serious expression as he fell into thought. Project Evosapien and PluriBody would definitely take more than a decade; there was no question about that. Under ordinary circumstances, commencing this project right after a vicious world war began was something that would be absolutely impossible. He couldn’t hope to spend a decade training while such an important war unfolded in the true world.
“The manifold is truly a godsend.”
A sardonic smile emerged on his face at those words. The irony of that statement was not lost upon anybody in the room, given the discussion that they had just had over the origin of the manifold tree. Still, it was true that it was the only reason that he could get away with making the outrageous demand that he was making.
“Get going immediately and good luck,” Emperor Rael nodded at him, before glancing at a watch on his wrist. “I have a meeting with Sentinel Prime soon. I hope to convince him to partake in our alliance and then have him counter the Elder Phoenix of the skinwalkers.”
“How confident are you of winning him over?” Rui raised an eyebrow.
“It’s a coin flip. The sentinels previously maintained a distant but amiable relationship with the now-destroyed Northern Tekvore Alliance due to their genetic heritage and geographical vicinity. But the Evolutionary Army has attempted to take it over in the past, including attempts led by NOVA herself before her upgrade,” Emperor Rael remarked. “Still, given that their paths are similar, NOVA has a lot to offer with her superior technology, so this time she does have carrots.”
“I see…” Rui’s expression darkened.
It would be bad if Sentinel Prime chose to join the anti-Panama alliance; they would be facing three top-tens with just one on their side.
Of course, this would not mean their collapse in and of itself. The top ten were not invincible, and one could counter them with other means. Arming a slightly weaker warrior with powerful means to help them at least stall top-ten powerhouses was a good example.
Amare managed to keep up with the Dragon Emperor for a brief period even before she became a Transcendent Candidate. Lord Vakratunda had managed to protect his people by serving as just enough of a deterrence. If the two of them were supplied with Transcendent Healing Fruits, then they would be able to tangle with a top ten for a brief period of time.
Not to mention, with each passing day that the Panamic Alliance gained its hands on negatron matter, the more of a strategic advantage they gained with negatron-empowered wormhole and teleportation attacks that their enemies would not be able to do due to not having anywhere near as much negatron matter.
War was a complex affair with countless variables, of which the top ten were merely one variable, even if an important one.
“We can definitely stall and grind the war down for a year, no question.” His father confidently asserted. “But beyond that, we will need you, Rui. And we cannot decisively win this world war without you.”
His golden eyes sharpened.
“Good luck with your training. I truly hope it will be worth the amount of time you put into it.”
“It will definitely be worth it.” Rui declared with a confident tone. “I will ensure that it will be worth it.”
“Very well then.” His father got up with a nod. “Good luck and goodbye, my son.”
Emperor Rael stormed in a hurry for his next meeting while Rui and the Divine Doctor remained in the room. The latter was technically not privy to the details of the war, but was trusted enough as a force for human civilization that the Emperor of Harmony saw fit to let him in on it.
“I am eager to meet this Mother Maeria you spoke of,” the Divine Doctor mused. “I am already familiar with the World Serpent and can establish communications myself. But this Mother of Nature is somebody I will require you to get me to.”
Rui nodded with a serious expression. “The two of you need to start investigating the virus and its source immediately. You will need to coordinate with the Elder Tree as well; it will undoubtedly help you search the continent better than almost anybody else could.”
“I will speak to the Beggar Sage as well,” the Divine Doctor remarked. “He is the most knowledgeable man on the continent, and he will also be of great help.”
Rui frowned. “Speaking of him, I haven’t heard from him in a while. What is he even up to these days?”
“What else?” A small smile cracked at the edge of the Divine Doctor’s mouth. “He is expanding the Beggar’s Sect to the true world. It has been such a major project that he has completely drowned himself in it. Shortly before I left, he asked me to create some artificial womb chambers to mass produce infants of the six pureblood species, as well as prominent hybrid species, so that he could conduct soul transference rituals on them, so that he could use them to infiltrate the entirety of the true world.”
Rui’s eyes widened with shock. “This…! This can be of great help not just for the war but also for our mission!”
The Beggar’s Sect had always been an extremely powerful force in human civilization as the greatest intelligence agency, made up entirely of normal people that the Beggar Sage had managed to integrate into an unimaginably large and decentralized organization.
To this day, nobody understood how this impossibly vast organization functioned.
If it could spread to the true world, it would give human civilization a huge edge over its enemies!
The Divine Doctor nodded with a serious expression. “There are many powerful forces in the world that can help us in our ambitious endeavor. I intend to gather them into one cause so that we can collectively search for the virus.”
Rui nodded. “You do that. It won’t be easy with the war going on, but this was never going to be easy in the first place. For now…”
PAT
He placed a hand on the man’s shoulder.
“Let me take you to see Mother Maeria.”
WHOOSH
Just like that, they disappeared.
