The Martial Unity - Chapter 3900 Casual Infiltration

Chapter 3900 Casual Infiltration
Deputy Commander Wiles stood atop a large platform in one of the training camps of the Evolutionary Army, his back hunched over as he studied the children sparring with each other down at the bottom.
“Hah!”
“Take this!”
“I can adaptively evolve to your blows!”
In a large field that spread an enormous distance out in the open, countless evosapien children sparred with each other, leveraging what genetic adaptive evolution they could to spar with each other. An expression of satisfaction emerged on the deputy commander’s face as he observed them fight with extraordinary skill that far exceeded what would have even been remotely fathomable for their age.
“They’re miracles, each and every single one of them.” His elderly voice contained a hint of great pride. “This whole generation is a generation of miracles.”
Despite only being eight years old, most of them were as strong as the average trained adult evosapien soldier; the remaining were even stronger. They contained unfathomable power for their age, making them ferocious forces to deal with. “They will make us the most powerful force in this world.”
That he was certain of.
They had inherited Anthea’s memories and muscle memory, as well as half of his ungodly evolution, making them entirely superhuman by the standards of previous generations.
“Once they mature, never again will they suffer a dire loss as we did eight years ago.” Deputy Commander Wiles’s voice grew grave as he thought back to the death of his leader and friend, Anthea. “Our army will be invincible.”
He began laughing maniacally.
“You shouldn’t count your chickens before they’ve hatched, Wiles.”
Rui’s voice almost scared the soul out of his body. He snarled, leaping away as he turned around with widened eyes at the unmistakable figure of Rui Quarrier. “You…! How are you here?! Did you teleport to this location?! Guards!”
Several evolutionaries burst into the room, charging at Rui.
Rui flashed a single glance in their direction.
WHOOSH
They froze where they stood, unable to so much as move.
“Guards…? Guards!” The deputy commander gritted his teeth with frustration. “Dammit, what are you? How did you find me?!”
Rui simply smiled mysteriously, pointing a finger at him, before gesturing for him to come back.
WHOOSH
The Deputy Commander teleported back in front of Rui in the blink of an eye.
“Of course, I know where Anthea’s one and only childhood friend spends his time,” Rui smiled at the elderly man with a hint of amicability, patting him on the shoulder. “You and Anthea used to come here all the time, did you not? To reminisce on the old days.”
He turned towards the generation of miracles fighting in the field, believing with a knowing expression. “The two of you used to be among them yourselves. You helped each other survive, did you not? I can confidently tell you that you were the only one that Anthea trusted.”
Deputy Commander Wiles’ eyes widened as he was shocked not only by Rui’s words, but also by his translucent body. There had been suspicions before, but only now that he was standing in front of Rui could he confirm that truth.
His physiology was not just half-evosapien, but half-Anthean, specifically. That, combined with the fact that Rui had just uttered something that only Anthea could have known, confirmed the worst for him as far as he was concerned.
“You…! You somehow hacked Anthea’s biochemical memory!” The man cursed Rui. “How dare you!”
“Tsk tsk, I didn’t hack it,” Rui shrugged. “I inherited it, the same way that these children did.”
The man’s eyes widened in shock. “…What?”
“When I turned half my brain into Anthean, I magically unlocked all of his memories,” Rui remarked, explaining casually. “So I know everything there is to know about the Evolutionary Army.”
Deputy Commander Wiles body slumped with a hopeless despair at those words. “…You know everything?”
Rui nodded. “All the army secrets, your secret weapons, your secret projects, your secret bases, and so on and so forth.”
The elderly evosapien almost lost his wits at those words, gritting his teeth with a frustrated expression. “Why are you here? If it’s because of the Generation of Miracles, then I won’t let you put even a scratch on them; they are our future!”
Rui turned towards the children with a knowing gaze.
They had noticed him, glaring at him with hatred and anger.
“It’s him!
“It’s Rui Quarrier!”
“Get him!”
They charged, reaching the balcony.
Rui simply smiled at the adorable children. “So these are the children of the Generation of Miracles, hm? Let’s see how strong they are.”
“No! Don’t hurt them!” The Deputy Commander gritted his teeth. “We will launch negatron-teleported weapons of mass destruction to the Panama Continent if you do!”
“No, you won’t,” Rui smiled at him. “I’ve sealed off this entire place with a special domain. You’re not going to be able to communicate with anybody. Now then…”
He turned towards the charging evosapien children. “Let’s put them to the test.”
They swiftly charged at him in a large group, throwing numerous blows and attacks at him.
WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!
Rui smoothly evaded all their physical blows as his eyes lit up, studying their adaptive evolution. “You’re editing your genes increase your quick-twitch fibers to give you more short-term power because you understand stamina is irrelevant at your power levels. Very good indeed. I can’t believe little toddlers can do something like that.”
“Get him!”
“Don’t let him escape for what he did to Supreme Commander!”
“We must get revenge.”
Rui felt mixed as he casually evaded their attacks. They were existential threats to the balance of power in the world, he knew that. But at the same time, they were just adorable babies in his eyes. Especially since they retained their childish immaturity despite having inherited Anthea’s memories. Each of them was as strong as a Martial Squire at least, while a good chunk of them were even stronger.
BOOM!
Rui evaded an axe kick that caused the ground to rupture, spreading fissures across the bedrock. He simply whistled with appreciation as they relentlessly chased after him.
They never stood a chance, of course.
Ten minutes later, almost all of them were flat on the ground with exhaustion.
