The Primordial Record - Chapter 1561 1561: Cold Days (4)

The Primordial Beast did not lie. Andar was alone, and Rowan’s quiet voice in his heart was silent.
The moment he passed through the barrier, the disorienting sensation Andar felt did not come only from the act of stepping onto a higher plane of existence; it also arose from the Will of Rowann being stripped away from his body and soul and the various shocking events that were transpiring did not allow him to discover this discrepancy until he was duly informed by the mysterious being here with him.
A moment before, while Andar “summoned” the power of the Great Storm and the Flame Guards were sent to bring him to the Supreme Mage, chaos had arisen in the hall where the Supreme Magus Endirius had sat with his seven descendants.
When it was revealed that the storm carried Primordial Essence, the seven Magus Elders erupted in a frenzy, disregarding the cool intellect the mages were famous for cultivating.
The implications of such an event were reality-shaking, and the possibilities that it brought were endless. These ancient beings could not make a sound for a while as their souls could not fully process this occurrence in a short time. A commotion soon ensued as they tried to rationalize how such a thing was possible.
“Did a Primordial Domain shatter?! Why is there is much Essence in this storm?”
“This… this is happening everywhere… Even in the lower realms, all the universes I oversee are flooded with Primordial Essence!”
“It is such a short period, but there are reports of babies being born as Acolytes; they perceived the nature of existence inside the womb!”
“A Primordial must be behind this event, and Andar must be associated with them; he used our Supreme World as the cover for their activities. He needs to answer for this!”
“With his demonstration from the Aethernet flooding Reality, everyone would believe that this change emerged from our Supreme World; if this is not dealt with properly, I fear that the consequences may be dire for our society.”
One of the Elders here hurriedly called for Andar’s arrest in order for the truth behind this storm to be revealed, and all of them quickly agreed.
In their fear and excitement, they were not truly looking at Endirius. Usually, the Supreme Magus is silent in times like these, and they do not consider his silence strange, but Rowan was looking at nothing but the Primordial Beast.
That and the Oracle beside him, who had the appearance of Lost but lacked the charm or personality, there was no life in his eyes; Endirius, it would seem, did not follow the path of Rowan; he did not give this flame a chance to gain his sentience.
Where Lost was rambunctious and curious, the Oracle was cold and silent, like a machine. The state of the flame was something that Rowan recognized because it was similar to his nature when he was soulless.
In the past, when Rowan gained the Lost Flames as a mortal, he became aware that the flames had been split into pieces after it was acquired by Endirius for unknown reasons. However, he did not know the number of pieces, and due to the nature of the first flame in existence, it was not something that Rowan could easily decipher.
All of this changed when he grew stronger; if he used the power of his Will of Truth for this question, the answer became… six pieces.
The first flames had been separated into six parts.
He had gained one part from mastering the Lament of Celestial Meditation Art, the second part had been claimed by the Archmage who was given the Meditation Art that was supposed to go to Andar, and there should be four parts of the Flame that were left, which should all be contained in the body of this Oracle.
Lost was unable to reach the higher dimensional level despite his talents, but the Oracle here was at the eighth-dimensional level, which suggested that Endirius must have placed the remaining portions of the flames in one vessel.
Because he was inside Revah’s soul and memory, Rowan was able to go back and observe everything she knew about the Oracle. He discovered that the Oracle was not a higher-dimensional being in the past; these changes were recent, coinciding with the time he first seized a portion of the First Flame.
To protect this flame from the reach of the Primordial Record and Rowan, Endirius must have gathered the rest to keep them beside him.
This was most likely a trap for the thief who stole his flame. For anyone else, such an action would be regarded as careless because if the thief could dare to steal the flame when it was in pieces, gathering them all in one location was inviting a hungry wolf into your home.
Rowan had initially felt the same way, but with his understanding that Endirius was a Primordial Beast, he knew that the safest place to keep the flame was by his side. Who else but the Thrones of Primordial Domains could challenge him?
Rowan had changed his plans because he knew he could no longer continue with the agenda, knowing that Endirius was an unknown Primordial Beast.
He acknowledged that he could not easily seize these flames; Rowan would have to do something drastic.
It was as drastic as changing the entire state of Reality to shake Endirius’s mental state, and it had worked.
When the mages here decided to send the Flame Guards to intercept Andar, Rowan sent his Will to Andar to ensure that the flame in the hearts of the Flame Guard was taken. Andar was free to unleash his powers as long as he collected the piece of the flame inside that mage; this mattered the most.
Rowan knew that Andar would not fail him, which assured him that he had two out of the six flames, and the last four could be seized under Endirius’s nose if he made his move…. Now!
Revah Endirius had no idea that her soul and essence had begun to heat up. Everything was done silently, even as her Will deceived her consciousness. A spatial gate was being created in the center of her soul and was about to be activated.
Rowan had to do this slowly, but transforming soul energy directly into spatial-temporal forces, even if this was the soul of an Old One, was something that was entirely under his control.
The power of this gate was so extreme that it would shatter the powerful soul of an Old One, but it would give Rowan enough power to drag the Oracle from this place to a space of Rowan’s choosing, and this plan should have worked flawlessly.
If these mages here were shocked at what was happening in Reality. In that case, Endirius, a Primordial Beast, must surely understand a portion of the intricacies behind the power that could release so much Primordial Essence into Reality.
A Primordial Beast would know that this Essence did not come from any Primordial Domain but outside of Reality.
He would be focused on figuring out what or who was capable of such a thing, and this would be the chance for Rowan to strike.
It was a very slim window, but one that Rowan paid dearly for, but the space around him exploded in radiance as six of the mages here abruptly attacked Endirius.
