The Primordial Record - Chapter 2053 Aevum and Aeon

Chapter 2053 Aevum and Aeon
The Origin Layers for Time that were available to Primordial Time were different from the Origin Layers that Chronomancer Prime was creating, and it was only after he began this process that he almost slapped himself for missing such an obvious path of growth for himself.
As one of the Bloodline Avatars of Eos, Prime was continuously growing stronger without any need for cultivation, but that strength was only a quantitative increase and not qualitative.
Remaking every layer of himself led to qualitative changes that astonished Prime, because Kronos alone had a power that equalled Prime at his peak, and getting the second layer, Kairos, only multiplied that power.
After a while, the third layer of his Origin was created, and he called it Aevum, the Pattern Layer.
The fourth and, at this time, final layer was created, and Prime called it Aeon, the Absolute Layer.
Another name for this layer was called the Tomb of Time, and Prime thought that it was madness to ever consider that there could be anything deeper than this layer, but as Rowan had shown them, Existence was changing, ancient boundaries had been broken, and there were no more limits.
The whirling frenzy that was Serene Ascension suddenly paused, and he observed his work with critical eyes. It resembled a sphere that was made from shadows and light, yet although these were shadows and light, they were the shadow of time and the reflection of time.
To work with this material was nigh impossible, and even Serene Ascension had to borrow the sheer authority of Eos via the bloodline of Chronomancer Prime to handle such a delicate task.
“Master,” the hoarse voice of Serene Ascension proclaimed, “The work is completed, and you can begin the final process.”
Prime closed the book he was reading with a snap and got to his feet,
“Remind me again why I have to sacrifice my eye.”
Serene Ascension shrugged, “Technically, you are not sacrificing your eye. You are just giving it up for the meantime. You want to find the fifth layer, and yet my master, your light shines dimmer than the Grand Creator, so we can only cheat.”
There was a time when Prime would have been angry at Serene Ascension for the lack of tact, but he had learned to stop trying to teach him manners. It was not as if there was no progress; however, ten thousand years ago, Serene Ascension had called him dumb and a failure when he noticed the sheer potential that Prime had and was underutilizing.
“The Archive is meant to record the endless possibilities that are going to occur in the upcoming war. With your roots with Eos, you have the potential to grasp the future, but master you are a bit… slow. The Archive would be like a learning aid, and since we are traveling there with your eye, you would be able to experience all the changes firsthand.”
Prime frowned, “Then let’s get it over with. Time waits for no one, not even me.”
Serene Ascension rubbed his hands in excitement, “Master, not yet, soon all of Time would wait for you, and even the Grand Creator would have to acknowledge your might.”
Prime rolled his eyes. If this were anyone who had said this to him, he would have killed them on the spot because they were implying that one day he might become stronger than Eos, but knowing Serene Ascension, these words were selected with something else in mind.
Prime stepped forward until he was standing directly in front of the sphere, “Come take it out of me, quickly, before I change my mind.”
Chronomancer Prime appeared before Prime in a flash of light, “Master, your body is different from a Primordial, and taking out your eye would weaken you and cause great pain, and if this experiment fails, there is a chance for…”
“Just take out the damn eye!” Prime roared, and the multiple arms emerged from behind Serene Ascension, and they descended on Prime’s face. With speed and precision to rival any Primordial, he began to work on extracting the eye of his master.
Grimacing in pain as his eye was slowly being removed from his face, Prime growled, “If only you could use this precision when it comes to battle, eighty percent of my worries would be gone. What would you do if the armies of the Ancient Primordial crashed into your Tower?”
Serene Ascension smiled, “Then I will die screaming in pain, and so to avoid this fate, I have to make sure that you are strong enough, master.”
“Ah, you stubborn disciple, that is not what I meant. What would it cost you to learn how to fight properly like a Primordial? With your knowledge, you could be the most powerful Primordial inside the Origin Realms.”
“But that would make no difference in the long run, Master. I have run the numbers multiple times, and victory lies in power that none of us can yet control. If I reach the fifth layer of my Origin, perhaps I will be able to fight.”
“Serene Ascension,” Prime sneered, “Even at the fifth layer, what are you able to accomplish with such a useless Origin Force? Float above the Ancient
Primordials while waving at them?!”
“Can I do that?” Serene Ascension asked curiously, before he frowned, “But I
don’t think that would be the best way to run, I would float over on the other
side of the Origin Realms, master.”
Prime cursed aloud, “Eos, give me the strength so I don’t choke the life out of this child… Ah!”
Prime gasped in pain as his eyes, which had bulged out of his head to a ridiculous degree was cleanly removed, and it began to slowly transform into a
brilliant gem.
Serene Ascension turned serious, “Six nanoseconds before it crystallizes and its essence is returned to you, master. I will need the big four to help me stabilize
the eye.”
Gently carrying the eye over to the structure of light and shadow, Serene Ascension placed it at the exact center and began to make micro adjustments to it, and as he worked, four shadows covered in purple and golden light appeared around him, the four layers of time, Kronos, Kairos, Aevum, and Aeon.
